Thanks for the nice video. While watching this I opened my results into another window. I noticed that there are quite many of exact same mutations, eg. 309.1C, 315.C, 522.1A and 522.2C in HVR2 and A796G and A825t in CR. Do you know if those are the locations that typically mutate forth and back? My mt haplogroup is totally different: J2b1h.
That is a fascinating question! I couldn't tell you the answer though as I don't know! Since you're of a different haplogroup than me, we clearly aren't related (at least on our MtDNA) so I suspect that your theory is correct. Perhaps those locations are more prone to insertions and shifts. I'll see if I can find out more about it! Thanks for the comment :)
@@VanessaBland So it's very likely that my guess is right. I have read from somewhere that mutations can mutate back quite often. Maybe it happens often in the exactly same locations. By the way, we aren't related by autosomal DNA either. I checked my match list and there is only one Vanessa who isn't you :) I'm not surprised about that. My ethnicity estimate is about 90% Finnish, 9% East Slavic and the rest Irish (which is another story). I live in Finland.
@@oh2mp Yeah, I think you were right too. Maybe those spots are just more prone to mutating. How interesting! Thanks for sharing, I've learned something new now :) Wow Finland looks beautiful! What a cool place to live. Thanks for the comment :)
Fascinating.
Love the ending, really heavy metal!! :)
Haha thanks for watching to the end 🖤 My favourite style of music, I'd love to use more of it but TH-cam will copyright me 😝
Interesting
Your beautifully unique! Very informative thanks for making it.
Thank you!!
