    The light fast issue is so interesting. I'm just an amateur who wouldn't sell in this lifetime. I took a class for colored pencils, and the artist only uses prismacolor. He sells a lot of pieces(only originals) for many years and said he has never had fading with UV glass and client education. It's just interesting, and I definitely appreciate your integrity.
    I personally wouldn't buy a huge set of any brand again for my use. Out of 150 pencils, I have probably used 30. I might start with a 36 or 48 set of polychromo pencils.
    Your video is fantastic.

    I hope you have REALLY good ventilation going on. I never spray fixative in the house :o

      Spectrafix is non toxic and it can be used indoor

      @@UltramarineBlu Thanks for the info. I'll pick some up and try it. My current fixative is smelly and toxic.

      Don’t care how good a spray fixative is. Never use indoors. If you had a lung disease you’d think and act differently.

      Most fixatives I would never spray indoors, the spectrafix is one exception for me. It's non toxic and doesn't have that super strong chemical smell like most fixatives do. Obviously, you can always find someone who is super sensitive and spraying anything, including hair spray or household cleaners would cause issues for them, but most people will have no issues. Windex concerns me far more than spectrafix :)

      Do your research before making comments like that. It'll only help you in the future, I guarantee you that. She knows what she's doing.😊

    Hi Lisa. Wonder if you can help? I’m doing a pet portrait commission and have used soft pastel and layered polychromos over the top to give the eyes more detail and they’ve gone shiny 😢 is there any way I can mask the shinyness? It’s on Pastel mat coloured paper. Many thanks 😊 kind regards Janine

    Can I use pastilles over acrylic paint

    • @Lachri
      @Lachri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They won't stick well. Acrylics are plastic, so depending on how thick that paint went on, it's not going to have the grip needed and it won't be archival (won't last). I really can't see a case where that mixed media would be useful.
