    Many thanks for the informative video. I'm starting up a Spec Ops campaign at my local store. I was pondering doing battle reports for my channel too but I may wait until I know more about running a Spec Ops campaign. This video clarified a lot for me!

    Nice video! Great run down on narrative play. Are you playing one at the moment?

      I'm just starting one with a few of my friends, I'm running Ork Kommandos . I realized I was going to have to teach all of them how to play Narrative, so might as well make a video out of it. 👍

    Great video, I like it. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around battle scars. So you roll a D6 and do the subtraction to get a battle scar number? And you also said something like if you roll a battle Scar you already have, keep rolling a D6 until diff. Battle Scar.....Do you do the subtraction part too?

    • @NightfireGamingYT
      @NightfireGamingYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So the first time that operative get a battle scar, just roll a D6 and look at the battle scar table. Where you start subtracting is if that operative already had battle scar, in that case you roll a D6 and subtract 1 for every battle scar they already had.
      If you roll a scar you already had, you reroll it and still do the subtraction part.
      Example: Your operative had “critical impairment” and gets another scar. You roll “D6 -1” for your new scar. Let’s say you roll a 3 -1. That would mean you get a “2: critical impairment” again so you repeat the process. This time you roll a 6, but you still minus 1 so you end up with a 5 being “lingering ailment “.
      Hopefully that cleared it up!

    Am I missing something or is there no advantage to winning a mission? I am about to launch a spec op campaign and plan on finishing with a tournament with all of their upgraded kill teams. Should I perhaps award an extra rp for a win?

    • @NightfireGamingYT
      @NightfireGamingYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s nothing inherently better about winning the individual matches. Just you’ll probably have less casualties, and have done more tac ops. I think adding in your own reward for winning the mission would be good. An extra RP would be simple. Maybe even do something like having one specific rare equipment or a strategic asset that goes to the winner. So the players know the rewards and can choose to either go hard for the win or focus on their spec op missions

    At the starting dataslate, there is a section that says faction keyword, and selectable keyword. The Question I have is what is the difference between them. I have a deathguard set of plaguemarines. So Would Deathguard go into Faction or Selectable keyword section. and what would go into the other?

    • @NightfireGamingYT
      @NightfireGamingYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      So the "Faction Keyword" would Death Guard. It's the main overarching name of your Kill Team. If you look at your operatives dataslates or on Wahapedia, it's the name that's Orange with the little skull icon next to it.
      Other examples of a "Faction Keyword" would be: Blooded, Phobos Strike Team, Wyrmblade, Talons of the Emperor.
      The "Selectable Keyword" is your Chapter/Subfaction. For Death Guard it would be what fills in the "" slot. For right now, we don't actually have rules that make that matter. For most teams this will simply be for their lore.
      I hope that clears it up!

      @@NightfireGamingYT So if an operative kills 4 enemy operatives in a match, that operative gains 4xp for that match?

    • @NightfireGamingYT
      @NightfireGamingYT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mma4605 Yes. So if you wanted to favor one operative to get a lot of XP you could.
