Wild Camp? We Bailed... Kinder Scout | Grindsbrook Clough | Jacobs Ladder

In early March 2024 Rachel and I headed up to the Peak District for a wild camp. Unfortunately the good old Spring weather just wasn't playing ball, so we grabbed a twin room in the Maynard Inn in Grindleford.
Fully refreshed after a good night's sleep and a hearty hikers breakfast, we ventured up Kinder Scout via the scrambly Grindsbrook Clough, on through the Woolpacks and down Jacob's Ladder.
Grindsbrook Clough was made more interesting as I was carrying my 12kg rucksack in preparation for the Side 2 Side... would not recommend!
Not quite the adventure we planned but a good one nonetheless... and Kinder never disappoints.
