    *This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*

    I panicked when the orange light kept flashing after the rinse was over. But this video helped me a lot to realize that when that happens just keep repeating the rinse process then it will stop flashing eventually. Very helpful!

    Tip to get rid of orange steam button, on the rinse cycle you have to wait for the water to completely empty out of the water tank and the rinse cycle finish for it to reset the steam button from orange to white. When you run the rinse cycle and the machine stops, press the steam button again to purge any remaining water from the machine and tank. The light will switch off.

      I've rinsed it now twice with full tank of water until empty. Still orange lights flashing. Any ideas what I can do?

    I can't get this to work. The right hand button has been flashing for months (I never use the frother) and I think the flashing light means it needs descaling? I've tried descaling before by running descaler through the tank ad if making a coffee. My machine isn't a year old yet. Anyone got advice please?

    A much needed video. What solution do you suggest? Can we use a 50/50 white vineger/ water mix or a 20/80 vinegar water mix?

    • @MyApplianceGuide
      @MyApplianceGuide  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Please do not use white vinegar. Vinegar can damage the internal parts of the coffee machine, especially the seals and the rubber gaskets. In addition, the smell and taste may remain for a long time in the espresso machine. Please watch the video and use the recommended or a similar descaler with the recommended mix.

    Don't be surprised if at first (1:15) only steam comes out with very little water, this will only last a few seconds, then it should be dispensing water as in video.

    Should we use the entire bottle mentioned, which fills the container half way then fill the rest with water? I've seen some people use the smaller descaling bottle solutions. Just one small bottle and it seems to work. Meanwhile this bottle has a lot of solution in it. Please advise.

    • @MyApplianceGuide

      Thank you for your question and we are very sorry about the delayed reply.
      We recommend to use minimum 1/3 of the Swiss Steamer bottle.

    fill up water tank about half way - so I basically needs a whole bottle of solution for one desclaing process? Or one bottle is not even enough?

    • @MyApplianceGuide
      @MyApplianceGuide  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      About 1/3 of the water tank is fine as well. We just want to make sure that you use enough rescaling liquid.

    Whenever I activate clean mode and I wait for the sequence of buttons to stop flashing, I tun on the steamer and it doesn't work. Water comes out of the steamer at a pulsing rate but then when I switch to the other part nothing happens, just the single and double buttons flash. Happens every time

    • @MyApplianceGuide
      @MyApplianceGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Elisabeth, thank you for your question. First of all, please make sure that you set your water hardness correctly. This is explained on page 16 of the manual. Depending on this setting, the espresso machine will warn you when it needs to be descaled. The steam button will light up in orange.

      We are sorry to hear that this is happening. We haven't heard about this from another customer before. We would recommend to descale the entire unit again but instead of using a descaling solution, just use water.

      @@MyApplianceGuide during descaling

    • @MyApplianceGuide
      @MyApplianceGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry about the late reply. So during the descaling, only the steam button on the right should be flashing in orange. As shown in the video, it is normal that the descaling solution is coming out either through the grouphead or the frother depending on your steam valve setting.

    I used to love this coffee machine, but I'm very disappointed in the last few months. Plus, 2 years ago, this video tutorial was not available and the Steamer Descaler was not suggested in the user manual. Our steaming button has been flashing for quite a long time and now, we can't even make a double-espresso... Love the brand but customer service is questionable...

    • @MyApplianceGuide
      @MyApplianceGuide  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Serge,
      We are sorry to hear about your coffee maker. We recommend the steamer descaler as it is one of the best ones on the market but other descalers will work as well. Descaling the unit with a descaler is still better than not descaling it at all or waiting for too long until the next descaling.
      Please try descaling the unit properly several times in a row over the course of several days. Hopefully that will solve your problem as it will hopefully get rid of any limescale build-up.
