Merci Valentina.
Such control! This is no mortal feat. Totally blown away Lisitsa, you really are something. When you play Bach, it's like the heavens split open and God's glory rains down on us all. Thank you for sharing.

I've watched this so many times, but it wasn't until now that I noticed Ms Lisitsa played the imaginary bass G that does not exist on an 88-key piano at 13:58. If only the piano was the Bosendorfer with extra bass keys!
I thought the same thing! I transposed the notes of my digital piano to imagine how it would sound on a Bösendorfer, somehow, Lisitsa makes those notes sound deeper, her playing is from another world, just amazing.
I think she is playing the high G with the thumb, and with the pinky she is hitting the black place of the piano(just near the A) . I , instead of the non-existed G key, played the A key with the high G , and it sounded as a clear octave (acoustic illusion)

This is the most beautiful, luminous, and deepest expression of Bach Busoni Chaconne I’ve ever heard! Thank Valentina. I feel the soul of Bach would be delighted to hear your performance. You’ve got the essence of Chaconne-“Life is beautiful including sadness and happiness.” I think you can express Bach in harmony with the beauty of the spirit of this time.

Had the opportunity to see you yesterday in Casa da Musica here in Portugal, the feeling of watching walk in was beyond imaginable, Thank you for what you do, honestly and I want to see you here more often
Fortunately I was there too. I loved the third encore: Lizst's Hungarian Rhapsody number 12. An angel enjoyed himself on the keyboard through her fingers.

I am overwhelmed with such beautiful music. Trembling.
Most beautiful piece I have ever heard in the most beautiful piano I have ever heard.
Valentina every thing you play is just perfect .. no further comments .... perfection
Valentina Lisitsa has evolved so much in the time I've known her. I remember her boorish early Beethoven and Chopin recordings...now this is something else. A true artist.
She is evolving in an amazing manner, though "boorish" may not be entirely fair.
Boorish? Her early renditions were never boorish, perhaps a little short on dynamics and the expressivo.
That was beautiful! It amazes me how someone can memorize pieces like this and still play with passion and subtlety. Brilliant! Thank you for sharing this :)
Awesome. Thank you, Valentina.
