Glad I stayed to the end, the last tip is perfect for me. Great series of videos, what a fantastic guy. I’m with you Trottie, those short basic ones are not fun when your confidence is low.
I actually went to an over lapping grip for chipping and pitching out of the blue one day. After struggling with hand dragging for far too long. Really helped me release the club. Glad I'm not the only one who does this.
One thing I wish was mentioned more often is that these techniques can be used for recovery shots off the fairway. Say you want a 50 yard pitch under trees limbs, grip down on a 5 iron or hybrid and do the same swing. Even will be able to bend the ball left of right with lower lofts.
Great video. I’ve made great strides with my chipping, and increasing body backswing turn was the key. However, the odd hosel shot 45 degrees right still creeps in now and again. I pay particular attention to soft hands and erect posture, to no avail. Any thoughts Parker/Trottie?
Hey now...Who's this guy? Better setup Better rotation on the way through Keeping the width with the AoA tracking more left No more hang back drop kicks with a possible flip Looking good!
That setup is key. Imo, the upper right scoliosis is the real culprit when it gets a little underneath. Get a hair quick with the body and you're cooked. Ever consider letting your right hand ride a little higher on the left hand glove to prevent some of the excess right side bend?

This is what I needed. These are the exact shots that I struggle with lately.

60 is an emergency club Chris , you'll get more consistency with 54 or 56 for standard chips like you were playing
Could you list the speed accumulators?
back ball position
hands forward
deloft/hooded face
too much weight forward
wider stance
steep attack
Hey! Dustbin Johnson!
That was actually Justin Dohnson
If you have a short chip to carry a hazard like a bunker and not much green to work with, do you just change ball position ? i.e. move if forward
yes it's certainly an option to help remove speed and add in some height
@@trottiegolf Thks, great video series. Golden nuggets no doubt.
