    This is probably the best DIY teleprompter I have ever seen on TH-cam. It gets the job done, and yet is simple, portable and durable! Great job!

    According to teleprompter Apps, Slides with bullet points is the best with the lead of being natural and maintaining eye contact on camera because you don't read word for word instead of script. "No special software needed" just have to mirror-flip the slides and good to go!

    I found this interesting to watch. I am building one using a Siemens LCD Screen off an older computer. My choice of the screen was motivated by it's construction, it is very sturdy. I got some beam splitter glass from a local supplier and put it into a picture frame (as you did). The screen was slightly deeper than the frame and I mounted the frame with hinges against a piece of wood, which is held in place by two adjustable clamps with wing nut screws. I like the idea of a T shirt to make the blackened enclosure, but I used black felt and trimmed it to size. The components including glass and frame cost in the region of U$40.00. I run the autocue section off a laptop. The screen size allows me to position myself quite a distance from the presenter and I can adjust the size of the characters to suit the reader. I used to use an older autocue with a CRT monitor in the past, so this one is considerable lighter. I am just welding a bracket to hold the construction in place on one of my Sachtler tripods. Your video is great

I have already changed the position and height of my tablet, but it remains the same. Was there a solution? Any adjustments to the TP? Was it due to the type of glass?

      and also if you struggle remembering the words, you could create your script in MS powerpoint and use an app called ppt-mirror.com to convert and mirror-flip your ppt files for your device to use in a prompter, in that case you don't need to memorize the script by simply using your existing slides and also the App doesn't force you to read word for word.. best wishes with your channel.

      Hi,
      You can use beam splitter glass but it is more expensive. I use regular glass so I also have a bit of double text but I don't think it is disturbing if you take a step backwards and make the letters bigger.

  • @dreamingrightnow1174

    • @Soarpix3D
      @Soarpix3D  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use beam splitter glass but it is more expensive. I use regular glass (the one that came with the frame) so I also have a bit of double text but I don't think it is disturbing if you zoom in the lens, take a step backwards and make the letters bigger. A thin glass make less double reflection.

    Absolutely GENIUS!!! I'll be building my version of this tomorrow. Anyone know if there is an Android app for prompting scripts? Preferably one that can recognize what I'm saying and will move according to what I've said and where I'm at in the script? That would be helpful. I'd hate to feel like I was racing the teleprompter to get something said before it goes away.

      He's got links to Android and IOS apps above. I think you'll find PromptSmart is the only one that follows your voice - I'm trying it as of yesterday and it seems okay. I've read that it sometimes jumps forward or back if certain things are repeated. Good luck!
