Hey man could you show us how to spray color shift and pearlecent paint jobs im looking to do a white to ice blue paint job on my brz and i feel ready to tackle the paint job itself but mixing paint to get certain effects i cant find anything on it
I painted a Camry in impossible conditions in a carport 250 feet from the ocean in Windward Hawaii. Using all your hints and tips including a lvlp gun you recommended, I worked through all the challenges and ended up with an amazing job and finish. You sir are a great teacher
Brian I gotta give you a huge shout out man. I have a 2 car garage at the house. Im a 40 year old factory worker and havent painted anything but walls in a house. I just finished up my motorcycle, using all rattle cans mixed at the auto paint store. And spray max 2k clear. It turned out awesome with all your tips and know how. A lil cut and buff and it is killing it. No one can believe it was done with rattle cans. Thanks for all your knowledge and for you sharing it with us brother.
Thanks Brian. Bought the Lisson on Temu for £17 GBP thanks to you. Just got to "man up" and spray the land rover that's been sat in the garage for 6 months. I wish confidence came in cans😀😃

Ty so much for your comment and all the information you share share along the journey of your life, I’m blessed to have fans like you watching my channel
I bought a Master Pro Elite 88 series a few years ago but it has a major issue and sputters no matter what I do and they have no support help line! Therefore i bought a real Devilbiss Pro Lite along with several fluid tips and air caps love that gun! Thanks for the great videos.
I have enjoyed many of your videos and you’ve given me confidence that I can do a good job! A question: how can you tell when the paint is wet enough without worrying about getting a run in the paint?
Hello Brian Your videos are awesome which I am totally addicted to at the moment. I never knew I would be into painting this much and I am soon to give it a try. I have recently started a wheel refurbishment business and I was wondering if you could do a video for your preferred mini spray guns that would be ideal to spraying alloy wheels. Thank you all the way from the UK
Just a tip but since these guns are a cheaper version I usually try to polish the needle to see if I get a better result since manufacturers often cut corners. Just a thought. I have gotten better results on cheeper guns.
When I have a stiff trigger pull or difficulty screwing in the fluid control knob, I just cut about three coils off the fluid control spring, and that solves both problems. Also, wish you had shown the spray patterns on some scrap paper and how they change as you make the adjustments you described. That's much more useful for us at home. Otherwise great!
Oh man, wish I would have seen this like a week ago! Literally spraying an Integra and that bumper trim tip would have been easier! I'm spraying dip, but the trick should work the same ;)
Should've done a spray pattern test to see how big the fan is and if the spray pattern is an "I" or "0". Mario has some old videos of those replica GTI spray guns. One thing to watch out for with those cheap spray guns is the air horn holes. They may be misaligned or crooked.
Hey Brian.... Iwata used gun or the harbor freight black widow hte new? If you had to recommend for a first time painter who learns super fast, what would you point me to? I would probably use it for 2 vehicles, and maybe not much more at home use. Thanks. Your videos are one of a kind. Never a dull episode brother.
Hi Brian, would you give a chance to these cheap “fake” paint guns and compare them in a video to see which is best..alongside gti pro copy,dv1 copy,r500 exc… i heard that Ntools 4000b is one of the best of them all, would like to see you test it so i can buy..like always great content!
Nah the best of them all is NTOOLS "NVE" 1.3 followed by Aeropro A610 1.3 (i actually also have an original R500 and that is excellent) My expensive pro guns for base & clear are genuine Devilbiss Pro-Lite & Sagola Extreme 4600. However the NVE & A610 can achieve just as good result
@@krh007 really? Nve better than 4000b? What do you mean better judging by what? I really want to know because i heard on channel Pete hobbies and he is favoring 4000b over nve…i really want to see your opinion because i am looking to buy the best of them cheap fake guns, thanks man.
@@plazibat281 Hi, i have not sprayed with the newer 4000B but i have just ordered 1 from Aliexpress (it is a lot cheaper than the NVE which has got me curious why?) I fully resprayed my sons large Ford Transit Van (using the A610 guns out on the driveway as it was too tall to fit in my garage and it came out mint. Mind you that was plain white but still very little orange peel for such a large surface area including the roof. That was base then clear in 2 pac I have been subscribed to Pete for many yrs and he is good, but he only does small jobs mostly bike tanks. I spray in my own double garage which is my temp spay booth using 4 x basic commercial extractor fans in series in wooden frame under the garage door which works fine and filter pads at the other end to filter incoming air in a DIY set up. That is all you need for spraying cars at home ( i own 3 x classic 80's cars which i am always fiddling with as i also have an adjoining workshop with a hoist at my home)
Brian, thanks for your videos, very educational. My question to you, since there's a wide variety of paint guns, which spray gun would you recommend for a 21gl air compressor. I'm going to start with what I got for now and just maybe I can invest on a bigger compressor. I appreciate you answering my question and best regards from El paso TX
Hi Brian, I'm doing my 1st time rust repair on my 04 dakota. It's actually going real well. My question is, I'm having a problem spraying a small panel. It seems to be splotchy and I'm trying to apply many light coats. Oh yeah it's a rattle can paint job. Any suggestions ?
what do you think of using sealer over primer before colour to prevent any problems between primer and paint ? im asking this , because most times i have issues bleeding through six months after painting as i dont use spray booth ? mainly on body filler areas, also using acrylic
Lets say i paint about once a year to two yrs usually touch ups, individual parts, usually never full paint jobs. Is it ok to buy a midgrade paint gun for lets say $400ish meaning will it still go downhill just sitting in the cabinet barely ever used?
What is your thought on the quality of these guns compared to the 20-30$ guns from Harbor Freight? I've just started picking them up for a new project and not caring if they don't survive past the intended project.
Hi Brian. I have an older Toyota which is 2k gloss black. Through the summer it looses it's shine and can oxidize unless regularly buffed. Can the paint be keyed and then clear coat applied? or is there likely to be problems? I preferably don't want to respray the whole colour again as the are very few scratches or chips at present. Thanks
Hey I was wondering what your input would be on this 2 tone dodge I'm painting would be I haven't ever sprayed a 2 tone before and was wondering if I should spray the lower base coat and wait 24hrs and then mask it and spray the upper color and then spray the coats of clear or if I should finish fully the lower color wait 24hrs and then base coat the top and clear that?

Can you tell me what the pps adapter size or number for these guns??
Thank you!
Can you get replacement nozzles to supplement the 1.3mm? rather than doing primer/sealer, base and clear with just the 1.3?
What size compressor would I need for the gti dupe??

Yes… Received that warning from our IT department.
Yes I heard that also.

Hey mate, for those cheapo temu guns what protable compressor size would you recomment to match it?
what do you do with the gun in between coats?
On your half-face respirator, what grade of filter is needed for painting, and how often do you replace the filters? 😷
Use the 3M organic vapours. Usually the brown ones

Sem trim black. I will add it

Cheap spray guns always seem to have a small fan that is dead in the center, so you can never run full fluid or fan
Ok so for clear hvlp fluid all the way open on a cheap gun. But what about a lvlp something like the r500 or a610? Fluid all the way open?
Keeps those fans and fluids wide open and lower the pressure a few lbs
@@PaintSociety even if I'm working on smaller objects? I'm doing cosplay painting and I have helmets and breastplates and stuff. Also fluid all open?
