Hi Rob cracking job you have made of this mosquito I have a tamiya mosquito in 1.48 in my stash hope it looks as good as yours when I build it anyway mate stay safe and happy modelling everyone 👍 😁😁
Thank you... I like these oldAirfix Mosquitos from years back, I have more kits to build, but now at least I have done the Swedish nightfighter version and this RAF one.. :) Not quite sure where I have the other kits, to be honest.. :)
Hat off, Rob. Very nice result even you chose the British variant instead of the three crowns. In every case great work which was the the effort you've put in worthwhile. Best wishes, Joachim
Hi Joachim, I have already built the Swedish version a few years ago.. but I wanted to this one as well and it was perfect for the D-Day Group Build I'm running for another couple of weeks.
With that bulky nose, it seems as if a person stung the mosquito in there 😁 But now more seriously, beautiful model. The invasion stripes suit her so well (as they do any aircraft in general). And also, nice images on the three aircraft "in bands" at the end.👍
@@Alantheleopard Thank you.. The bulky nose is the radar, for the night fighting. I enjoyed the build, even though the decals played me up. But now I finally have some D-day aircraft in my collection.
Thanks... I do actually have the really old Airfix kit somewhere, I was going to build it but have decided against it, as it is so bad it is even below what I find acceptable and I'm not generally fussy when it comes to kits.. :)
Wait wait wait...! The Swedes operated the Mosquito and yet you decided to build a British one?! How dare you!?!! I assume you have probably built a few with the three crowns markings already, so i guess i can tolerate this for the time being :)
Hello there, long time no see.. :) And yes, you are right, I did the Swedish version years ago. This one is for a D-Day Group Build, which I forgot to mention in the video. I like these old Airfix Mosquitoes, basic and simple but great fun to build.. :) My next project is the Italeri 1/35 Ambulance Jeep, with added figures from Gecko Models and ICM, plus a resin US Medic.. Odd mix, but hopefully it will work. :) Will catch up on your show video later today or tomorrow.
Great work! I like how you replaced the nose. I also like how you combined all three of your works together. 😁😁
Thank you... and yes, I thought my three D-Day aircraft deserved to be shown together.. :)

Great job. I like the part where you show the three planes together. More of that, please.
Thanks.... I will try, when I have some suitable builds to show together.. :) It doesn't always work.. :)
Iconic aircraft, it deserves a place in the collection. It looks like D-Day will warrant a display case of it's own. Great job.
Yes, it is the 80th anniversary of D-Day, after all.. :) I have another aircraft I want to do, but I won't have time.. :(

Nice one. Did you ever build the REALLY OLD Airfix Mosquito tooling? Maybe you are aware there is one that is even older than this one.

Old tooling more flash than Gordon 😂😂😂
