the problem with these traffic light systems though is they don't really mean much. They are still based on when we thought fat and saturated fats were bad for you ( some fats can be bad for you, or if you eat more than you are burning, then you will obviously get fatter ). More important is the overall energy. As for the salt content, there's still plenty of info out there that it raises your blood pressure, but there's plenty of people saying that's not true. I find most products that you cook in either microwave or ovens have the best results from the oven bake. I know it's more convenient from the microwave but I personally think they're not nearly as good. Good video. 🇨🇦
Your spot on but your need to be very wealthy these days to put your oven on someone once told me that microwaving stuff don't cook the foods it just heats the water up in the food there must be something to that.
I s’pose the stone content depends on where the cottage was grown … to only have “some” stone probably means they normally only use the finest wattle and daub variety … but you really don’t want to know what goes into wattle and daub 😅😅. From the microwave, it didn’t look remotely appetising to me … but I might give it a try in the oven … I just do not like microwave results … always pale and overly sloppy. I typically have to give a supermarket cottage pie a good extra 15 to 20mins to reduce the moisture content and get the topping to brown up. So, when the cooking instructions quote 50 mins … I wouldn’t bother looking at it until the 50 mins and then decide how much longer to give it and when to worry about my peas …. I will also usually apply extra mixed herbs with a healthy sprinkle of ground garlic/black pepper and a couple of splats (technical term) of butter to the topping before it goes into the oven.
