Parmos a dish served in every pub and takeaway in the Teesside area in the North East. They sell them in Asda locally also with a brand called Jeff the Chef , but I'm not sure if you will get them in Barrow. Usually served with garlic sauce. Its strange they labelled the white sauce as a cheese sauce, its bechamel on the original. Will have to give it a try, but my head tells me its easier paying £8 from the takeaway. Great reviews keep up the sobriety.

This is definitely one I would make myself. Chicken, breadcrumbs, basic flour-butter-milksauce, two lots of cheese (one in the sauce and one on top), plenty of salt and pepper, 20-30 minutes at 180°C in the oven, done. £5 might be all right for free-range, British chicken, but not for mass-produced Polish stuff that isn’t good enough for the EU but fine for us (if it was free-range, it would say so). Support British farmers!

Where’s the sieved tomato base? We have that on our Newcastle ones and yeah the béchamel sauce is the best bit. Not a bad price to have for the freezer really, they cost £10-15 at the chippy.

lol, Iceland AKA Bejam AKA the Food Warehouse, I'm old! - I miss the army mess, good times, stupidly cheap booze and great food when the chefs put on a meal. People like to 'rubbish' army food, but when you're not on exercise the food is top notch. Most have never even seen what gets served or how in an officers mess. I'm wasn;t a Rupert but I have been to their mess a good few occasions.

FIVE POUNDS !! you say.. but to be fair that is over 400g and it is a main meal item for two really. add a pile of chips or some veggies and its good to go. so really its a £2,50 per portion.

I'd put one of those straight in a bun/bap/(whatever), with a shot of sweet chilli sauce. (Other sauces from the kitchen cupboard if available, salad if wanted) £2.50 for a piping hot chicken burger is a bugger-sight cheaper than a big McChicken thing. Half the unit-price, double the chicken, fresh and hot in your sweaty mitts. That's 4 times better value!

She said they weren't part of the 3 for tenner deal, I did but them but tbh it's just as easy and cheaper to make your own

At £2.50 each portion and with chips and maybe peas if you have a family of 4 then that would be £10 just for the chicken you could by the ingredients for half a roast dinner for that price and still have some left over for sandwiches and bubble and squeak.

there are a few cheats on YT you take a breaded chicken steak cook it close to its designated time, take out put a thick layer of grated cheese on top put back in finish cooking time, melting cheese at last minute sprinkle some parmesan over for the flavour (of course best to find video and watch)

Basically? These are just chicken schnitzels.
Give a pig a fancy name? It's still a pig. ( No disrespect to pigs ).
I appreciate that some families are time limited. Maybe they're not used to cooking from scratch.
Tonight for example I got home late. So I raided my freezer. I had pie, mash and liquor was it great? Maybe not great but still tasty
Would I have prefered to buy a decent pie, make my own mash and parsley liquor? That's a yes.
But I didn't want to cook from fresh due to the time.
However? Tomorrow I fancy a Vindaloo curry. So I've dug out my slow cooker. Put some diced beef, a Lidl Vindaloo curry sauce mix and set it on low for about 8 hrs. I will then put in some broccoli, cauliflower and some red peppers and leave it for an hour or so. I will use microwave Basmati rice at the end.
Granted I'm a ' singely ', so I'm cooking for one. But I will also cook enough to put some in the freezer.
Personally? I wouldn't pay a fiver for a couple of schnitzels. But? Hey we are all different.
