It has taken me years to convince my elderly mother not to answer the phone unless she recognizes the caller ID. If it's legit, someone will leave a message and she can call them back. Thank goodness she doesn't use a computer, but people are still naive about giving personal information out over the phone. When I get an unknown number calling and they don't leave a voicemail, the number gets blocked immediately. No second chances. Now people are doing the same thru random text messages---block those too.

Having worked at call centers for banks, that’s pretty much what I expected the bank employee to say and how I expected them to react, there’s a good chance they did at the bare minimum notate the customers account and possibly make an outbound call to the customer but they will not tell you that
Yes they do my bank here in Australia has contacted me as soon as they think an unusual transaction has occurred and from talking to me they know that there are only 2 countries I do any transactions with And they know one of them isn't India so any one from India has there IP address tracked by the bank
It's always frustrating getting professionals who don't know the difference between 'giving out account information' and accepting information vital to preserving that account. I've run in to it myself before. Really infuriating.
I'm pretty sure the legal department told them to just say nothing. That would make sense considering he clammed up right after calling them. Even just confirming that the account details were correct could've got them into legal hot water. I can only hope they played dumb for that reason and then called the account holder anyway.

As a former bank clerk in Germany, I can assure you, that the guy from the Bank did everything right. There is a law in Germany called Bankgeheimnis / lit. Bank secret. It prohibits to give any information to a non-authorized person. Even the confirmation of an account number would be a violation of that law. So he did everything by the book. But I guess imho that the legal-department would monitor the account number just in case AND also call the customer.
Same thing in France with the "Secret bancaire". The man followed the rules strictly. But you are right, he probably started monitoring the account and eventually warned the customer.
@@jose-Maki Not intentionally, but in a way he was; as Charlie says above, the law doesn't allow bankers to even confirm if an account number is linked to their bank. If the banker had've said 'Thank you for this, we'll deal with it,' it would have implied the account was with them, and thus broken the law. The only way they could avoid implying an account was with them was with what they said - 'this isn't with us, and I can't talk on this further, sorry'.
@@ShadowtheBowserKing I think his approach was off. Knowing that they can't provide any information or confirmation of information, simply telling the bank that this account is currently being compromised as we speak and to please contact the customer immediately. The bank would, of course, not confirm anything but would thank you for the information and most likely contact the customer right away. I don't think anything more could be done or expected.
@@Demolishionist - yep, being from a neighboring country, I think the clerk could not tell him anything, but I have this gut feeling that they called their customer right away. The voice of the clerk sounded nervous.

It has been rampant in Germany with scammers from turkey for a few years now. The classical tech support scams are rare, what is much more common is that old folks get called up by "police" that a robbery is about to happen at their place and they should handover their belongings to the police. A few minutes later a family member of the scammers will show up in a fake police uniform and take their stuff people willingly hand over to them... Or they get called that their grandson (they got their name by Phishing or something) was convicted and they need to pay bail or he will go to jail (there is no real bail system in Germany but old folks are naive) and they hand overthe money to someone showing up at their door 30 mins later It's really bad because the people call from turkey and have "their people" over here to make sure the money gets to them fast. Also, cash rarely leaves trails
Yeah .. they like to hit any country that is 1st world. Esp with the success of hitting the U.S. etc. They feel like none of us deserve the money we have so that's why they don't give a shi about cleaning out anyone of their life savings. Which is why they get pissed off when you don't play along. We are stupid population with too much money. So they will take it from us since they need it more. I love your work! I don't understand how you document ALL the work of the bank, fraud, police, detective and lawyers jobs and they STILL do NOTHING! Keep fighting the good fight and eventually the authorities will get their head straight
"Do you need technical support with your computer?" best reply ever
I'm german and I didnt even realize he was talking german at first
They should also learn the German dialects :D
I'm Brazilian, now a bit of German, and I was like: "was that supposed to be German?"
The last 3-4 minutes were pure gold! :-)))) Loved what you've done to them - thanks for all your work against those scammers.
This is the best trolling vid ever!!!
Scammer: "We are facing some technical problems, pls. wait a moment."
Scambaiter: Do you need technical support? 🤣
Your videos are plausible, no faces, no useless stuff. Thank you for your effort.
Your conversation with him at the end was hilarious!! A hilarious twist on a rather frightening situation!!
I'm watching this and laughing... in the past month I have been bombarded with scam calls and watching you destroy these pests is truly fantastic!
I was almost impressed at the beginning that these scammers were so dedicated that they went through the hassle of learning German until I realized their German was terrible.
My brother is elderly, I was horrified when he told me he got scammed, he is too nice to say no so I give him some lessons how too hang up the phone and delete emails that are not family; I mean what else can you do? He can't afford to be stolen from at his age. F ing livid with these wankers!
Excellent. Thanks for doing what you do. Very satisfying to see scammers having a bad time. Loved the Kitboga impression!
5:46 "Warnung vor falschen Telefonanrufen im Namen der Sparkasse" is actually a warning from the bank to not fell for scammers on the phone.
That's how much they care about their citizens. The dude could have done something. I wish the same shit would happen to Mr Hans with double the amount.
Das ist einfach meine Stadt. Komme nämlich auch aus Neuss. Hab mich sehr verwundert einfach Neuss zu lesen auf einem amerikanischen TH-camkanal über einen indischen Betrüger. Die Welt ist so klein
Had a lovely time re-watching this one! Every scambaiter is Jim Browning, of course. Lol. Well done!
Having worked at call centers for banks, that’s pretty much what I expected the bank employee to say and how I expected them to react, there’s a good chance they did at the bare minimum notate the customers account and possibly make an outbound call to the customer but they will not tell you that
Yes they do my bank here in Australia has contacted me as soon as they think an unusual transaction has occurred and from talking to me they know that there are only 2 countries I do any transactions with
And they know one of them isn't India so any one from India has there IP address tracked by the bank
What your doing is so good.
We need more people like you out there.
Keep up the good work ❤👍
his doing? huh?
It's always frustrating getting professionals who don't know the difference between 'giving out account information' and accepting information vital to preserving that account. I've run in to it myself before. Really infuriating.
I'm pretty sure the legal department told them to just say nothing. That would make sense considering he clammed up right after calling them. Even just confirming that the account details were correct could've got them into legal hot water. I can only hope they played dumb for that reason and then called the account holder anyway.
Apparently it's a German law. Even acknowledging that the account number exists would've broken the law and they would've been in trouble.
@@TryPuttingItInRice I did not know that. Thanks for the perspective!
@@mattjohnson8585 no problem. I thought the banker was being useless and annoying as well. One of the top comments on this video explains the law and whatnot. That's how I learned about it.
Love it payback keep up the great work 👍👍👍
"I'm level 13 technichian for windows" OMFG hahhaa thats kill me, you give them some of their own medicine
YES! MEMEZ! I love watching scammers try to fight memez Lmao. Then the KitBoga trolling at the end was great. Your videos are getting better every time
Its feels so satisfying after watching those scammers get punished😂😂
Oh my god that was AWESOME! 🤣🤣🤣 Congrats on hitting then surpassing 1 million 🎉🎉🎉
Scammers trying to scam other people in their language? That's so funny they can barely speak english or even use a PC correctly.
Happening more often with robo call language recognition. Lets say I live in the US, english is expected but if I say hola (Spanish) or unexpectedly bonjour (French) or nee how (Mandarin), robo message might change to that language w/ specific call back number or connect directly to a scammer speaking that language.
This man is literally the terminator of internet scammers!!!😂😂😂
Between you and Deeveeaar, I'm convinced that the Dutch are some of the best scambaiters in the world. Your Jim Browning impression is spot on too. 👌
I was listening and i Just knew he was dutch kan dat gelijk horen 🤣
Fixit army channels are kinda sus.
Malcolm Merlin literally posts only fake videos and re-uploads from 6 years ago.
But DVR it least seems to be legit. But just callfloods and nothing else.
I love how at the end he was starstruck a little
Every single episode is just epic
When an indian guy says his name is David, immidiately its a big red flag.
I seen enough of these videos it seems super commion for them to use English/European names for some reason. I seen one that even called himself John Smith for crying out loud.
Hes not asking for information though
We need more people like you Sir.
Imagine Having Nyan Cat as your pet to fight scammers...
I love it 😆
How confused he was ...: "we're facing some technical problems "
That was hilarious when he asked if you were Jim! You just casually say yup I'm Jim Browning! Because you both are fuckin legends! Keep up the good fight my brother!
I hate to see these people win. I would love to see you send such an infection that it destroys every computer until it Is unusable.
How the world would change Erica..real life ..
Should send them a box full of hornets.
You calling scammers with tech support was absolute gold
Wow, scammers are now trying to target other people who don’t speak English to well? Damn they really don’t have hearts.
Or they get called that their grandson (they got their name by Phishing or something) was convicted and they need to pay bail or he will go to jail (there is no real bail system in Germany but old folks are naive) and they hand overthe money to someone showing up at their door 30 mins later
It's really bad because the people call from turkey and have "their people" over here to make sure the money gets to them fast. Also, cash rarely leaves trails
@@pdoge oh wow, I never knew that
@@pdoge That sounds awesome.
Yeah .. they like to hit any country that is 1st world.
(Their words, not mine) a country over populated with more people than jobs. Other countries have groups that also migrate to India to carry out these scams too . So sometimes they're not even local but it's easier for them to carry out this bs there..
@@kiddhkane it's gotten really bad during covid, nothing awesome about that, but over 3 million euros in damage in my hometown alone in the first half of the year (~400.000 people) and those are only the cases raised with (legitimate) police
I'm glad the bank doesn't disclose that they did anything, because I've had people call in fake things about me pretending to be concerned when really they were just phishing for information. They didn't call my bank, but you get the idea. It's nice to see a company respecting customer privacy. It sounds like that bank actually did check the issue out
This ^^
Disclosing they did anything would also go against confirming customer information as well. They would have shot themselves in the knee.
You are out here doing the good work! I'm so happy there are TH-camrs dedicated to sticking it to these scammers!! 😊
Your voice is very soothing and it’s satisfying to see these scammers receive instant backfire. 😂😆💞 Great channel
