I work with the elderly and disabled and investigate reports of exploitation. Let me tell you when these poor folks fall for the scammers and take their life worth savings they tear up and break down in front of me. It is truly heartbreaking and infuriating because aside from reporting it to the police, they cannot do anything. They won’t get that money back. Thank you for what you do, truly I didn’t know there were people like you out there. It makes me so happy seeing this! :’)

If one retirement home wants to be different then other retirement homes, scanning for scammers would be a huge help. @Daissy thanks for helping out the elderly and disabled, that's a true heroic career!

I am in complete awe at what you achieved! I am 76 and have been the recipient of 400 calls but I managed initially, to tell them to piss off, and then I blocked the whole lot. Scammers beware! Not all people over 75 are drooling idiots.

Like the "IRS" was calling me and so I went down to the real irs office in my town and asked what was going on and they told me the real deal and to tell the feds about it... Feds never called me back after leaving them a message with the phone number and everything but after that I didn't trust anyone calling me on the phone anymore and I block all of the scam likely numbers now also.
No Whitehat will teach it... It is a hacker code of honor thing like a magicians operate by... Sharing knowledge and software is a no-no. If you learn anything it will be on your own time and money. You might find a Blackhat willing to teach you but remember you are working with criminals and you will be exploited.

For all your raids, you should leave a trail pointing to one of the higher-up’s real names; make them think their higher-up wanted to betray everyone. Most countries look after tourists. However, in India a tourist will be stripped of as much money as possible using manipulation and telling lies. With no cares at all for their situation. I worked there for a year training people of the country in Finance. I disagree, the country is not beautiful enough to counter the way you are treated with fake smiles and hospitality. There are better countries to go. Nepal (above India) who have much of the same culture, temples etc, but truly value their tourists. What scambaiter shows here is just a more advanced way of doing it, and for more money.

These Amazon scammers almost got me once. All these scambaiting channels have been a huge help for learning what to look out for. And my parents are so vulnerable to these scams. I told them never do anything anymore without consulting me first. They tried to connect with my mom on the computer but thank goodness she got suspicious and hung up. It was a close call.
This video gave me a warm glow of satisfaction. Not only did you mess up their systems, scare the daylights out of them and interrupt their scamming, you sowed distrust amongst them. Just awesome.

It's because they're scamming people in other countries. Not really a huge concern for Indian law enforcement. Local police can often be payed off anyway. With the money they're making they can easily afford to pay for protection.

These scammers tend to bank on the person they're calling going "OMG NO I DIDN'T ORDER 52 IPHONES!!?!!????!!!" I wonder how they'd react to someone going "oh yeah, I ordered those, thanks for calling to confirm, I appreciate how thorough you guys are."

I remember getting a call from the “IRS”. I knew it was a scam because a) the IRS will never call unless you leave a message, and b) the caller’s accent was too thick to be a legitimate IRS worker. I hung up on his ass while he was talking. 🤣
What tipped me off immediately was that they said "This is from IRS" which no one who has lived in the US (let alone worked for them) would *ever* say. It's always *the* IRS, never just 'IRS'.
i used to get these too. I would ask them what day I need to send in my tax return to them... they never could answer. Think it's odd that a "IRS Employee" doesn't know what Tax Day is????? Now i just get bombarded with MEDICARE calls

You can go to college and study psychology and make your own way to manipulate them even into giving you money (So that you can return to the legimate owner) or turn them to have an honest life (if you are into that). Or you can learn coding and hacking so you can monitor and control their life activities and help poor souls who... let's say... got ransomware in their pc or about be robbed online (Like Scambaiter does). There are many online courses you can buy too .
They pick on elderly vulnerable & confused people who do not understand the technology then they pressurise them by talking really fast into doing things that they do not understand. This only works if they can gain access to your computer. So do not install anything they try to get you to install. Never give away your personal details. If you give a false name, address or other details it hardly seems to make any difference to their script. That should be warning enough. Then they will try to steal access to your phone. The best advice is to simply request that they send anything to you in writing at the address they should already have on their system then hang up. You will never hear from them again in writing but they might still try to pester you with phone calls. The accent is a dead giveaway.
How about using one of the known names and leaving a message thanking him for all their help in locating and shutting down this scam center. Another would be to shut their power.
I got scammed out of £200 and it honestly stopped me feeding my children. Never felt so low in all of my life, still clawing back from this and even had to ask family to borrow money. Thanks for everything you do it educates people who were naive as myself 💖

If it was a ransomware, you can use the laptop again, most times reinstalling windows is enough and on rare occasions you’ll need to replace the SSD or Hard Drive then reinstall windows and you’re good. You’ll lose any data you hadn’t backed up to remote storage but you’ll keep using your laptop.
Yeah, that sucks. Unfortunately it is that many years ago, because recovering laptop can be done somewhat easily by reinstall. Experienced person can recover even the data, but that is normally cost prohibitive. Example I would take 100eur per hour, and it takes about 4 hours of work to recover content to new harddrive and operation fails under certain conditions (no cost for you in that case).

It's just so interesting how you just watch what these guys do. You have to feel so powerful to be able to just get into these guys computers and them never knowing it. This would be so fun to be able to do for a good cause.
I'm showing this to my mom. About 3 weeks ago she received a text from "Amazon" saying that someone was trying to purchase a $3,000 camera. Call this number to cancel the order. So of course my mom calls the number and she said someone with a accent asked her name and explained that not only was a $3,000 camera purchased, several thousand $ of other items have been purchased to be shipped out of the country. She was in Wal-Mart at the time (I assume this is the part where they want to know if she has access to a computer) so she discloses that no, i'm at Wal-Mart right now. At this point the scammer started to instruct her to buy something at Wal-Mart and she hung up. She called me freaking out, explained the situation to me. Told her it was a scam. When she got home I stopped by and checked the text. Of course it was in broken english.
The honesty of our ancestors is crazy good. However, demons fair still. It is the Knight that must protect. My MIND! I got to stop sniffin' glue! Na.. but in perspective Scambaiter is in it to help the vulnerable.

These Amazon scammers almost got me once. All these scambaiting channels have been a huge help for learning what to look out for. And my parents are so vulnerable to these scams. I told them never do anything anymore without consulting me first. They tried to connect with my mom on the computer but thank goodness she got suspicious and hung up. It was a close call.
This video gave me a warm glow of satisfaction. Not only did you mess up their systems, scare the daylights out of them and interrupt their scamming, you sowed distrust amongst them. Just awesome.

This IS organized crime. I just don't understand how this happens with little to no repercussion on their end. All this evidence and these places continue to operate.

It's because they're scamming people in other countries. Not really a huge concern for Indian law enforcement. Local police can often be payed off anyway. With the money they're making they can easily afford to pay for protection.

I remember getting a call from the “IRS”. I knew it was a scam because a) the IRS will never call unless you leave a message, and b) the caller’s accent was too thick to be a legitimate IRS worker. I hung up on his ass while he was talking. 🤣
I tell them hold on while I go over to my computer. Then leave the phone off the hook.
I love the female callers and then start talking dirty to them... 😁
What tipped me off immediately was that they said "This is from IRS" which no one who has lived in the US (let alone worked for them) would *ever* say. It's always *the* IRS, never just 'IRS'.

You can go to college and study psychology and make your own way to manipulate them even into giving you money (So that you can return to the legimate owner) or turn them to have an honest life (if you are into that). Or you can learn coding and hacking so you can monitor and control their life activities and help poor souls who... let's say... got ransomware in their pc or about be robbed online (Like Scambaiter does). There are many online courses you can buy too .

They pick on elderly vulnerable & confused people who do not understand the technology then they pressurise them by talking really fast into doing things that they do not understand. This only works if they can gain access to your computer. So do not install anything they try to get you to install. Never give away your personal details. If you give a false name, address or other details it hardly seems to make any difference to their script. That should be warning enough. Then they will try to steal access to your phone. The best advice is to simply request that they send anything to you in writing at the address they should already have on their system then hang up. You will never hear from them again in writing but they might still try to pester you with phone calls. The accent is a dead giveaway.
Next time add a moving banner saying:
'We recommend you leave the building immediately'

Your a hero my friend, I lost a thousand dollar laptop 8 years ago, they locked me out of my new laptop, I still feel a tightness in my chest when I think about it, I still feel trauma ever since it happened, I know it's stress....I'm so happy to have found your channel and will tell my friends to subscribe as I just did earlier, may God bless you and your family.
If it was a ransomware, you can use the laptop again, most times reinstalling windows is enough and on rare occasions you’ll need to replace the SSD or Hard Drive then reinstall windows and you’re good. You’ll lose any data you hadn’t backed up to remote storage but you’ll keep using your laptop.

Unfortunately it is that many years ago, because recovering laptop can be done somewhat easily by reinstall. Experienced person can recover even the data, but that is normally cost prohibitive. Example I would take 100eur per hour, and it takes about 4 hours of work to recover content to new harddrive and operation fails under certain conditions (no cost for you in that case).

I'm showing this to my mom. About 3 weeks ago she received a text from "Amazon" saying that someone was trying to purchase a $3,000 camera. Call this number to cancel the order. So of course my mom calls the number and she said someone with a accent asked her name and explained that not only was a $3,000 camera purchased, several thousand $ of other items have been purchased to be shipped out of the country. She was in Wal-Mart at the time (I assume this is the part where they want to know if she has access to a computer) so she discloses that no, i'm at Wal-Mart right now. At this point the scammer started to instruct her to buy something at Wal-Mart and she hung up. She called me freaking out, explained the situation to me. Told her it was a scam. When she got home I stopped by and checked the text. Of course it was in broken english.
I got the same text. Reported and deleted the text from my phone.
The honesty of our ancestors is crazy good. However, demons fair still. It is the Knight that must protect. My MIND! I got to stop sniffin' glue! Na.. but in perspective Scambaiter is in it to help the vulnerable.
