Heyyyy lovelies, in today's video I am bringing you on a house tour - showing you around my post war 3 bedroom house here in Essex in the UK. We bought this 3 bedroom, one bathroom house here in Essex in the UK 8 years ago this month. 8 years has flown by. Our house was built approx 1950 in the post-war rush to re-build houses following the Blitz and the widespread damage to London.
It is a large ( for the time ) 3 bedroom terraced house. When we bought our UK house we were so lucky it was in a great move - in condition. The kitchen was my favourite room and we didn't need to do much. Before we moved in we replaced all of the carpets and floors upstairs. This was it. we cleaned the house and moved straight in. Over the 8 years it has taken a while to make colour choices and build on our style. I say Our style but really hubby just allows me to crack on with it. He trusts me fully to make all of the interior decisions but he did have a say ha ha he chose the kitchen colour. Well done hubby lol.
I am showing you around our house and garden as well as sharing the bathroom in it's full beauty. The only room we don not see in this house tour is my Craft Room. Claire's Crafty Corner is trashed and my Patrons get to see that regularly. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

So beautiful. If I had to pick a word it would be cozy. All your colors are my taste. Your so lucky to have all the counter top space in the kitchen. I just feels like a home a place you want to grab a blanket and curl up and relax on the coach.

Hi Claire, I've come over from your crafting channel as I'm crafter too, your house is beautiful and very much my aesthetic, I have also made console tables and a lot of home decor myself, pictures, mirrors etc, you are truly talented ❤
Claire this house is turning out gorgeous. You have done such a wonderful job restoring it & it’s a delight to watch each step of the way. I simply love everything & how handsome is our dear George. He behaved beautifully during this film which is amazing (I’m surprised he didn’t even bark at the neighbors 😅😂🤣). 🩵🩵🩵

Wow you have your home looking amazing! It looks so modern and fresh and the fact that you have a lot of it all yourself is amazing! Great job lady! Your new floors are stunning and I am so jealous how clean they are! Our floors are never clean anymore since we got the Deef......lol......but he's worth it! But wow yes I do miss clean and sparkly floors! Everything is looking so beautiful!
heyyyyyyyyy hunee thank yoooo :) I was looking back at our collab years ago ha ha the house looks quite different now but still the same in lots of areas - so happy with it and I am still staring at the projects that need doing like --- ughhhh another day ha ha I like our floors but they're MATT - I think I would like some kind of soft sheen on my floor like we used to have - easier to clean too xxx HUGS to Deeeef
Everything looks great my Studio Bedroom is always Chaos and door closed as well. Everyone sees enough of that. I want to go green in my kitchen but green is such a hard color 😂 i did angreen living room once and it took i swear 20 tries and i was never 100% happy plus my house is an open floor plan if i go green I want slightly darker in the kitchen/dining half and slightly lighter in the living half.

I cut up our double sized memory foam mattress and turned the into dog beds for my german shepherd 😊
We used tongue Nd grove to make our bath panel, painted it and treated it, changed the room

What a fun tour! Double rug….it would be a trip hazard for me, for sure. In the U.S…I would never block a heat source. Back in the day, we had wall heaters - didn’t look like yours - and it would have been a fire hazard. I love all the colors you chose for each room; I also like how you have many of your own craft pieces here and there. Thank you so much for sharing! 💐

Your house is beautiful Claire.. To get the rug corners to lie flat in your lounge I saw online that you put something heavy on them and put ice cubes down to melt!!! No idea if it works as I dont have any rugs lol
oooooo yes yes I saw that and I was totally gonna try it - I was just worried about the new floor but I could maybe lay a puppy pad down ? oooo I must do this

My house is 1952 and I've lived in it 30yrs I've spent years making this so beautiful, I've got a mid century modern which is of era 1952 I love your home, we have similar to my taste

Heyyyyyy Erin thank you so much - they are DIY'S - using Black Rubber Doormats YES DOORMATS ha ha sprayed Silver / White and backed on to Foam Board - with DCFIX Mirror adhesive - I have a video on CCC literally from the beginning around 6 years ago

heyyyy lovely - thank you so much ... The bathroom is called 'Ballina' by B&Q Good Home paint - BUT - I got it colour matched in Valspar Bathroom paint :) at B&Q

You've done a beautiful job! Everything is fresh and bright. I love it! So now that you have this done what's coming next? Also, now we know the secret to actually starting & finishing projects... Make a channel and film it, I believe that's what you call accountability lol
