- OUR SCOTLAND ADVENTURE: ROMANTIC STAY IN A BEAUTIFUL SCOTTISH COUNTRY HOUSE// Hello lovely people, We hope you're all well! After a week in Scotland, we are finally back on TH-cam to share where we stayed and where we travelled in this beautiful country. We loved it so much and can't wait to go back as we still have so many places to see and share with you.
We actually stayed near Oban in the West of Scotland and to split the journey in half, we stayed in the Scottish Borders for 2 nights - Crookston House which is the most beautiful country house and a perfect romantic get away. You can book a room for Bed & Breakfast there and we can't recommend it enough (we stayed at the Garden Room). And Edinburgh is just a short drive so it couldn't be more perfect!
The morning we left Crookston House to travel to the West of Scotland, we stopped near Edinburgh to explore Cragmillar Castle and finally in Kilchurn Castle which is set in a very dramatic landscape and scenery. Just what you would associate with Scotland! Kirsten & Joerg

The view across the loch..beautifully chosen with the mist and the grass sticking up out of the water.Perhaps a book with photos and reviews for Kindle where you have been.Wonderful.

Bucolic 🏞 UK seems dotted with castles. My relatives left Scotland 🏴 in the 1700's and entered the US through the Carolinas. The brothers Carr settled in Galax, VA in a similar rolling hills, mountain steams area. Thank you for sharing their homeland. ❤

My expectations were rewarded-stunning Scottish scenery ,even the drizzle fit, to say nothing of the accommodation, elegant ,stylish with lots of books to browse through while tasting tea .All makes this special atmosphere and I thank you so much !

So wonderful. I am here in my office on my lunch break talking out loud about all the beautiful sights and my colleagues had to come in and see what all the oooing and aaahhing was all about. The scenery is absolutely magnificent. I imagined stretching my arms out and leaning against the castle where Mary Queen of Scots stayed so I could hear all the distant chatter that would have been going on then. Ohhhh if the walls could talk. I would love to travel back in time as Claire did in Outlander just to watch and listen to all the activity. I am actually a descendant of Mary Queen of Scots. I am so looking forward to the next castle visit.

Yes, we went further North but wanted to split the journey as we drove on a Friday afternoon as Joerg was working, it would have been too much. Hope you had a lovely time.

The place you are staying looks so stylish ,and oh ! that bathroom ...stunning ! The scenery in Scotland is breathtaking ,and even on a wet day looks so dramatic. Shame about the road accident but I suppose it gave you a chance to see the lovely scenery again. I cannot get over the beautiful places you visit. Living in the US, our original architecture is not appreciated and constantly torn down. It’s sad as many of our original buildings were built in the teens and 20’s with the beautiful Art Deco style. Thank you so much for sharing all the beautiful places with us!

Many Scots and Scots-Irish settled in North Carolina, USA. We have a number of highland games across the state. Beautiful rolling hills and mountains as well as a beautiful, enormous coast. My husband and I visited Glasgow and Edinburgh for a couple weeks in January many years ago. You're making me want to visit the countryside. Spectacular! Britain has such sweeping countryside that appears to be timeless....clean, beautiful, unsullied by modern, tacky stuff.The one-lane roads....egads! The drone footage in your videos makes my heart soar. I envy the birds their views. Have been on hot air balloon adventures twice and this reminds me why they are so much fun. Thank you, thank you!!!

Your B&B at Crockston house is absolutely lovely and suits you two to a tea! The only thing your breakfast was missing was Mushrooms. I loved fried mushrooms with Eggs, Tomatoes and Sausages. I love Scotland, with its great history and its Flora and Fauna. I will have to remember to check out the Crookston House B&B, the next time we get to travel to Scotland. Trust Joerg to get a book that he wanted about the Germans in Scotland, how funny 😁 Well done Joerg!

I adore Scotland so much , my first trip to Scotland as a child was such a fantastic adventure , I travelled with a friend and her entire family , all of them had touring caravans and so we travelled up the country with 5 caravans in the group, we stayed at some amazing campsites in Scotland , we visited Edinburgh , Aberdeen, Inverness,loch ness, Loch Lomond , we then came down to the Lake District and stayed near Windermere where we did horse riding around the lakes , this holiday took 5 weeks of the school holiday and was of my greatest memories of my childhood, I was always grateful to my friends family for taking me with them, and my friend and I are still good friends to this day, my husband has not been to Scotland and we are planing to go, the beautiful house that you stayed in, has now got our interest , beautiful video , thank you so much ❤️🌸🌺🌸

Kirsten & Joerg. Great video! The castles were beautiful and the shots of the one on the lake was very nice with the fog. We really loved the Bed and breakfast you stayed at. The owners are very lucky to be able to live there. We fell in love with scotland when we were there. Edinborough is our favorite city. We saw Sir Walter Scott's house and Melrose Abbey. Oh yes, Edinburgh is just lovely, we didn't go this time as this would have been a trip with my sister and her husband and we wanted to go to Edinburgh together (we visited before a couple of times) so we wanted to save it when they are able to come and see us. Abbotsford is a wonderful place too.
