Hisman3 feels more like friendship show rather than a dating show
I'm still really enjoying season 3. 🤷🏾♂️ I feel like a big reason people aren't into season 3 is because there's no obvious couple to ship, like Junseongho in season 2 or DaixShun in The Boyfriend. But like, that's fine. These are real gay men, not characters. They put themselves out there to find love, but there's no guarantee it'll happen, especially in a one week time frame. That's life.
The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the drama in season 3, mostly because it feels a bit manufactured by the producers. Like having secret missions that require lying and allowing two exes on the show together. They knew it would start drama, and it did. But I'd be lying if I said it hasn't kept my interest.
@@pkgaming2962 and also they fuck up! When they copy and paste. From season 2. I hope the boyfriend doesn’t do the same thing! I doubt it though. Becuz they are the producers that produce Terrence house. And that was it….. is after one of the casts takes her life… due to cyber bullying.

I'm obsessed with Dai and Shun from The Boyfriend, this is my first time waiting a gay dating show, as I usually just watch Bl's and Gl's. I am loving it and I will try my best to get around to the other ones you listed.

Sparks Camp will actually make u cry as the cast share their real stories of their individual struggles in life. theyre also the most diverse cast in the LGBTQIA+ spectrum as they try to include Drag Queens, femme gays and non-binary with a transwoman host. altho it can come across as overly sexual for particular audiences.
if you're used to overstimulation and expressive characters from the internet - some of the introverted/low-energy interactions and brooding/introspection scenes from His Man/The BF might be a challenge when watching especially at the beginning.
Also, Sparks Camp S2 [PH] and Boys Like Boys [TW] are both nominated for ContentAsia Awards 2024. Congrats to these well-made shows!
Absolutely yes & love SPARKS CAMP i just came across 2 weeks back & it's really good they also do some tasks so by far I really Enjoyed it & Appreciates it.
But...i feel like slight adjustments should have make it more fit like i really wanna see the build up, like from the morning bed greetings to the good night kisses really wanna see all these chemistry building up. But anyways it's in a good track, they had done a lot of improvement than the prev. Season.
the boyfriend is definitely so interesting the scene are so attracting that will keep you indulge in the show i don't know but japanese show or series has something that will keep you engage and i have watched his man too my fav is the couple from 2 season and i will check out the other shows too, love you videos, you keep on increasing my list 😂

If anybody even slightly confused what else to watch after The boyfirend. Watch His man season 2. It can beat any show anyday. It has the best couple ever you will route for and all the cast is just chef kiss. warmth, love story and great friendships. Mustttt watch

His man 2 is unmatched. That was raw. Real. Passionate. The cinematography is breathtaking.
Also, thinking they only spent 8 days together while producing more screen time than the boyfriend who spent a month together, goes to show just how many scenes that we missed in the boyfriend that could’ve added to its depth.
I’m not one for comparing, both are good, but his man 2 is superior.

Hisman 2>>>>> other gay dating show
Personally I didn't find The Boyfriend better than His Man S2. While the concept is really good we barely get to see the interaction between two people in the coffee truck unlike the dates in His Man. They are far more busy handling the coffee trucks than actual dates. The half Korean dude(sorry forgot his name) literally feels like a side character and the addition of Ikuo so late in the series was soo disadvantageous to him. The show is good no doubt but DaiShun is the only one pulling the show for now as far as I can see. Other than those two I see no chemistry as we don't see much one on one interaction. Also the idea of someone leaving halfway and joining halfway I feel like just doesn't work. Not to mention the unnecessary commentary.

The Boyfriend is an amazing BL series, it is still my favorite so far even after watching all seasons of His Man and Sparks Camp. The cast, cinematography, and rawness was just outstanding in the Boyfriend compared to the other shows. I have watched it again after binge watching his man and sparks camp, the boyfriend is just on another level.
Boys Like Boys meant a lot to me. Eri and Bo Bo’s friendship was so sweet and all 3 seasons of His Man are good.
Having watched the first episode of the Boyfriend I was put off by the commentators so haven’t gone back but I am interested in Sparks camp. I’ll have to give that one a try.

I don't care for dating shows, so I haven't seen any of these. But I do think that reality shows like these are a great way to normalize the queer experience.
It happened in the US with Queer Eye and the few gay dating shows in the early 00s.

All of the shows are highly recommended btw 👍but i am yet to see sparks camp2 and boyscation tho....so off i go...❤
I think each show has their advantages. His man was a fight for a date. The boyfriend allowed every single person a chance (or multiple) to get to know who they wanted to know. Seong ho almost didn't get a date with JS because JS kept missing his opportunity. Imagine if he didn't get to see how great they are together and ended up with Seonwoo? His man 2 is top tier simply because they had a main couple, JS NEVER gave up from the very first episode, and they are together with their fur baby IRL to this day. The boyfriend frustrated me sometimes when the guys would leave for work or personal matters because it would take away other guys chances of dating them...like my lovely Yusak and Kazuto. I also didnt like the multiple late introductions halfway through the season....they should have come in no later than the first 3 episodes BUT they did have a whole month together as opposed to the week that His Man gives. All in all, both shows had great aspects and the very real men that went left with fond memories, bonds, friends, or lovers. I loved both shows. I cried and laughed equally.
I WILL say that even though His Man 3 doesn't have a ship I can sail.....they do have Hwi and SJ. They are meant to be besties for life. I can feel it in my bones. I just cry thinking about how no one ever called my Seungjin. He helped everyone feel better all of the time by pushing his own sadness to the side. I'll miss him for sure.

The boyfriend is realistic but we don’t get to see their personalities. Like i still haven’t seen why Kazuto is liked by everyone except for Alan who said it was attraction at first sight. Shun comes across as uninteresting & depressed so I don’t understand what’s so great about him except for the face. They are not showing them cooking,chatting,playing around. Even the kiss between Dai & Shun is scripted. It’s very scripted. His man format is the best but this season is boring because of the guys personalities & agendas. His man production did try to mix it up ,introduced more missions.
