I like Kidnap but Jack and Joker I am absolutely obsessed with. I agree the bank scene wasn't realistic but it was fun regardless.

Jack got into trouble even though he accepted the loan and it had already been approved (stamped). However, it's likely that the show's plot is driven more by dramatic tension than by a strict adherence to real-world banking procedures. In reality, if the bank made an error, especially if the loan was already approved and documented, Jack might have had some grounds to keep the loan. The bank’s incompetence, if it was their mistake, would probably have played a bigger role in his favor. But, as with most shows, it's better not to overthink the logic and just enjoy the drama.

I am enjoying Jack and Joker a lot. Moreover, they made it abundantly clear by embedding a disclaimer on the bank robbery scene that they were fully aware that that's not how a bank functions and were still including the scene for the story's development. Because of that I won't complain about it being unrealistic.

I actually really like the fact that Jack and Joker has those over-the-top and ridiculous moments tbh. It's what makes the drama special and somehow it just works - it doesn't take itself too seriously whilst also having an interesting storyline and great chemistry. I enjoyed the first two episodes a lot more than I thought I would (plus it's nice to have an "enemies to lovers" storyline).
Other than that I've been watching The Hidden Moon, Q18, Happy of the End and Doku Koi.
Not exactly a bl but im obsessed with peaceful property. Like horror?? Comedy?? Found family??? Whatever english new has going for him???? Its super unique and fun. 100% reccomend.

Bad Guy My Boss gives me Unforgotten Night vibes. Great idea, if it had been cast, acted and produced well would have been really great but it has trainwreck/guilty pleasure written all over it and I am here for it 😂

I agree with everything in the video. Firstly, im not going to watch 4 minutes coz i cannot handle so much angst. Its really beyond my capacity. Im holding off on Kidnap and JJ so i can binge watch everything together. BGMB is a little chotic, but i still found it interesting and i will be watching it. In BLs i have observed many times things get smoother after a couple of eps.
Im absolutely obsessed with Only One, so much so that i literally experience withdrawal every week. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we get an epic S2.
Addicted. Well, idk what they wanted to achieve with this series. Its well done but really its a moot point if one of the mls is a minor. How many Addicted versions have we watched that are barely anything beyond bromance? But the audience is okay because of China's policies. Here, you are making it in fu****g Thailand! So now the production house is going to say they can't show make out sessions coz one of the mls is a minor????? Wth hire a minor? What was the point, really!???
I just dropped 'Addicted Heroin' after yesterday's episode. It became unwatchable as soon as it's been stripped from any kind of true intimacy between the main couple. It is very is sad, because I've had hope that being a Thai BL series it won't have the censorship issue that the Chinese had. Instead this series got even more watered down and killed all the chemistry between the two ML. It became like a bromance with hints of "they're doing it what you're think they're doing trust me'. These two are suppose to be madly in love in a taboo/controversial/deemed to be as a immoral relationship by big part of society. Unfortunately, you'll feel none of that watching this series. It's only IMHO of course.
The problem with addicted is the production company completely miss cast the actors. The actor playing Hero is 28 years old while the one playing Pop is 16 years old, so it’s highly inappropriate to show them in any type of romantic relationship. When the announced the cast everybody showed concern, instead of recasting they went head with the same actors but completely erased the romance scenes between the characters. That’s the problem with the show, it’s not censorship but the age gap between the actors.
@snoflysse8844 I was like you waiting for a kiss & for them to be lovey dovey until I learned the real age of Pop & I was like, well I'm glad there ain't no kissing & no lovey dovey. I don't know what they were thinking casting a 16 yr old.
@@sarahkoho7794 I so agree with you it will be highly inappropriate. There's a scene where Pop & Hero are laying in bed together with their shirts off. Knowing their real ages that scene makes me so uncomfortable.

Besides the age difference, the drama is not for minors to act that is why the other adaptations have adults. The novel that is adapted is pretty much a toxic relationship as their love reflects the symptoms of a drug. There even rape for god sake, what the production was thinking about it.

In answer to your question, I'm really liking "Addicted Heroin" much more than I thought I would. If one forgets that it's a remake and doesn't compare it to "Stay With Me" (which as a masterpiece sets an impossible standard), it's quite good. August and Mac are very well matched, despite the age difference of the actors, and the side couple Only/Kitty (Newyear/Jur) is an absolute delight to watch.

The "Bad Guy My Boss" part took me out 😂 because it's so real 🤣 They look just so good together and individually, I think I'll eat it up even though the timeline is hella messy 😅 and then there's Jack and Joker. The first ep felt like a whole movie. It feels like a series that might leave an impact on me and my views. I just hope they'll keep the good work up.
That's all I'm watching from this list. But I'm watching 2 other ones: The Hidden Moon and Lovesick 2024. Those 2 are definitely my favorite for now 😍 ❤

I'm watching this great little J-BL called "Sugar Dog Life" about a Police officer and a University student. It's suuuuuuuuper cute and the two leads have the cutest chemistry. If you love fluffy, cute Japanese BL's then I highly recommend this. The acting is good, the plot, while simple, is easy to follow, makes sense and has good pacing. I think it is still ongoing, at episode 7 currently and will be 10 episodes in full =)

Jack and Joker is my current obsession! YinWar are chemistry kings! Addicted Heroin is doing fine for me despite my similar to the age gap. I'm just pushing it doen for now and see where the series is gonna take us. Lastly, I wanna start watching 4Minutes and Kidnap soon

Kidnap was little disappointing for me. Acting is ok, chemistry is there, but what is about this plot? Especially second episode? The bond between them come out of nowhere. Talking about realistic, Q went to his home and now he's back to ask his kidnapper to help him? Guy who point a gun on his head 2 days before? And the production seems to be kinda cheap. I was expecting something better, especially that I really like Ohm/Leng as a couple. 2 first episode was like meh for me, I probably will watch it, but it's nothing special. Totally different story with J&J. I was hooked immediately. The On1y one and Jack&Joker ( two opposite 😉) are my favorite right now.
I currently obese with The hidden moon and on1y one. It is so bad that I don’t even wait til home to start watching the episodes.

If i hadn't watched the original Chinese Addicted several times over the years I would be ok with this Thai version. However I keep comparing this to the original and it just doesn't measure up. I started watching Jack and Joker because I have really liked heir previous series but I couldn't really get into it. Maybe I will go back after its finished.

Bad Guy My Boss - you took the words right from my head and gave them sove voice😅 What is more, it reminds me some romcom doramas, like the Korean What happened to Secretary Kim? Because of those flashbacks and them going to restaurant after potential desires to resign. And allergy!!! Kim was allergic to flowers, she kept sneezing in the first episode! I am curious to continue with the show to see if I get rid of this dejavu feeling or not😅

Personally I really enjoy watching 4 minute and I Salute to BOC for making this masterpiece and 🫡 to all the writers and directors of 4 minute.
The Thai version of Addicted heroine I’m so amazed by the acting of the main lead and the story is very interesting also i do watch kidnapped by ohm coz I want see there chemistry in the series .
Happy of the end is a reality based same sex love. Full of debauchery. Gays keep advocating s* x positivity, BDs* m but this drama shows all consent & positivity flies out of the window when perverts go for paid debauchery. The inhuman treatment of nameless, invisible children forced into prostitution. The protagonists sadness is so well depicted. This drama is fantastic. Editing and screenplay is so well done that it will move a normal person to tears.
It's been a while since I became obsessed with a series, but that's what Jack and Joker is doing to me. I love YinWar's chemistry and acting, but hated Love Mechanics' storyline. Now that they have a good plot to work with, they are shining Ofc the are some scenes that don't seem realistic, but somehow it doesn't bother me.
I am also watching the on1y one and it's great (wondering why Taiwan loves the step brothers trope so much?), as well as Love is like Poison, it's the kind of messy series that only Japan can pull off and so far it's enjoyable. Going to start Kidnap soon!
I was actually disapointed by 4minutes. Probably because I went into it thinking it was a time travel series but it ended up being all smoke and mirrors. I still enjoyed watching it but not as much as I though I would because the theme and the synopsis were misleading.

About "Addicted Heroin": I don't understand why someone would be kidnapped just to kiss the kidnapped person, the storylines often seem messy to me and the English translation is really bad. Too bad, because I was really looking forward to this series.

Speaking of Not Me, try JBL Happy of the End. It’s really dark and is harsher than Not Me but it’s gritty and well acted. Not for cuteness seekers.

Try watching one of the best The Only One back to back with one of the worst. This years Dinosaur Love Award Winner lacks the toxicity, but the bad acting, plotless writing and a terrible side couple make Live In Love unwatchable. Plus who needs a pandemic throwback. Sorry “Live in Love” you are my DL award winner for this year. At least Playboy the Series at least gave us pornography to disguise its horribleness. How LIL cracks a 7 on MDL is beyond me

The best show airing is of course "Happy to the ending" which was left out, because it's a really disturbing, dark series with traumas for both MLs. Of course sexual abuse is not a theme befitting a BL. It's a serious drama where the MLs happen to be gay.
"Kidnap" is quite boring as expected from GMMTV while "Jack & Joker" is the far more a) serious b) mature and c) better show. The acting of the MLs in the second show is also far superior imho.
"On1ly One" stands out as well and yes the MLs look old for a "school" theme, but school is only a place where they are. It's not a typical school theme BL. Storywise it has a lot of "Addicted Heroin" vibes with the backstory. Said Thai adaptation is not on par with the chinese originals especially they moved the story from a big city more to the countryside and it's much more "comedy". Imho it's not bad, but could be better.
"Bad Guy My Boss" looks like a medicore show so far. Time will tell.
Watching all of these except Addicted Heroine. I'm going to be sitting that one out until it's over so I can see what other ppl have to say. If it just ends up being more of a bromance high school romance without the very mature tone of the actual book I might end up watching it. But def not pleased with the age gap of the actors

I love the hypocrisy, 17 year old Fuaiz showing his bare ass in every episode and having "raw" on screen sex with many partners is so romantic and adds so much depth to the complex show, while 16 year old Mac holding a hand and having some dead fish, closed mouth kisses with another actor is shocking, disgusting, immoral, the producers should be locked up in prison and all existing copies of the show burned, why didn't they make it bromance instead...

4 mins was confusing,inspite of budget . Poorly edited and scripted. I thought it would be better than Triage but no. I didn’t get the story nor the point of it. The last episode was hurriedly wrapped up. Kidnap is poorly scripted , acted and with glaring loopholes in the script. I am surprised that Gmmtv has gone back in time with Kidnap. Ohm is wasted and Leng is struggling with acting. Both series disappointing. The only one is the best one out there right now. Very well done.
