    Hey bro love your channel found it a few weeks ago. I have a 2013 A6 3.0T also and the same color. I have a stage 2+ tune. I don't really run it hard but looking to get a heat exchanger and x-pipe soon . Thx for the videos!!!!

    Your pump comes on so long as you are above around 2000-2200 RPM, IIRC. One of the 3 wires going to the pump is the control wire for the car. If the wire is clipped, the pump runs all the time. Maybe rig up a "race" switch so that it runs all the time if you have plans to "engage" someone. If you can, please do a full pass and show us how fast the temps go up.

      I pulled the pwm in a later video and did a run. I'm gonna get the VelocityAP intercooler ports so the system flows better.

      No but I might as long as I can find one with a felt lining to absorb fluids like the factory has.

    How’s this mod affecting cooling for the radiator and condenser?

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven't noticed any drop in performance of the condensor or radiator. I've never felt the HX get hot to the touch just lukewarm. Air passes through it to the ac condensor and radiator and they perform as they should.

    Did you get a code for no signal feedback from the pump? I didnt get a CEL but it did show a fault code after install.

      I think you only get a code if you pull the pwm wire for it to run at 100%

    I have a 2014 a7 I just went 034 stage 2+ first day on it and I noticed my fans turning on mostly when I’m at a red light or stop. So I’m looking into a heat exchanger myself now. Didn’t do no crackles though just still sounds stock til that supercharger get to screaming

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The fans turning on is part of the tune where it turns the fans on high and the hx pump on 100% to cool the supercharger coolant. It's activated when the cruise control stalk is in the back position. You can turn the feature off by pushing the cruise control stalk in the forward position.

      @@cmidas3396oh cool thanks for the heads up. I took the car to get the tune down due to not having a battery charger so I didn’t want to risk it. Is there an option for crackles/popcorn for the 034 tunes? Also I was looking into these heat exchangers and see a new one on preorder but a slim version that’s available now. Should I just want on the full size version?

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@southjersey1000 Yes, 034motorsport has a crackle tune option and I think it comes with the tune so you'd have to select it.
      The slim hx is fine for stage1 stock pulley & stock hx coolant pump. When you go stage2 & up you want a bigger hx.

    Hi. Jose recommends you upgrade your pump fuse to 20Amps when installing the CWA 150… did u have to change yours? do you have any idea where the specific fuse is located ?

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I changed the fuse to 25amps in the last video when I installed the ethanol sensor. You can see the location in that video but you need to verify the location of the pump fuse for your specific year because it might be in a different location.

    Love your channel just found you tonight, planning my build, doing timing chains, test pipes and engine mounts rn, have you seen merc racing is releasing an updated 3.0 heat exchanger? Opinion on it vs the 4.0T X?Cheers

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haven't seen anything about another updated 3.0T heatexchanger besides the latest version that I have. I think to get the best out of the bigger heatexchangers more coolant needs to circulate. There are people that have done things like bigger 3/4" hose and bigger pumps plus coolant ports to get better flow through the intercoolers.

    how much extra space was left around the heat exchanger to get a larger one in? about to do this myself & wanted to see if you had any thoughts

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There was a good amount of space actually. Originally I was supposed to run the bigger 4.0T cooler but Merc is out of them. I may change it later after he gets more in.

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ronkirkham3410 You only need this if you are going to go with a dual supercharger pulley which will spin it faster to make more boost which in turn creates more heat. To deal witb that you can upgrade you heat exchanger to a bigger one for more cooling capacity and a higher flowing auxillary coolant pump for more flow through the bigger heat exchanger and intercoolers in the supercharger. I recommend the MercRacing heat exchanger and you can go with the CWA100 axillary coolant pump that is available at MercRacing alao.
