I have a little theory about this song. This was the Stones' end of the deal they made for Eternal Life as rockers. Jagger was smart and added "youth" into the fine print. Richards took the deal as it was. That's why, to this day, the Stones still perform, with Mick Jagger as the Dorian Grey of Rock n Roll...and Keith Richards as his portrait ;)
There's an epic confrontation told in another tune when Lucifer eats Frank Zappa's girlfriend, check out "T_tties & Beer" by Zappa. I think the live version here on the 'tube has some pretty hilarious parts.
I subscribed yesterday im.furst today. Your reactions are priceless....I especially like when you say " I'm going to have to punch you, but I'm not going to kick your @$$.. hahaha ..that has me Rollin dude. Rolling a fatty
Love or hate the Devil, but respect his power. That's the message. And, it is from his point of view. Lucifer, from the comic, says he gets damned sick of being blamed. That he never MADE anyone do anything, ever. He's just a jailor, a warden, assigned to the role by God. It's a perspective.
@Immanuel Kant Read that, too. Might be biased when it comes to the Devil. As I said, I was highlighting a perspective, not quoting scripture, or espousing a religious view.
What he saying is polite and ,,with respect, because the devil shows up in many many many different disguises.,, and he said in there if you speak my name more than once that he will enter your life. So prophetic and so much truth.
You had the best reaction to this song you never heard before. The devil wants you to be confused and feel like it's YOUR fault, hence your to blame. We were all saved from it by Jesus. You got it bro.
Lol, your reactions are AMAZING! It's actually really funny, I think you prove the point of the song in a way, the devil, or the dark side of humanity creeps up on us often in enticing packages (Like this funky beat) and we fail to see what is right in front of us...a marvelous piece of music...
Man I'm 63 and that song was a big one but had alot of controversy as you might know. Like I said the evil man does to man. Great honest reaction. Love it.
One day Marianne Faithfull gave Mick Jagger a book by the Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov, "The Master and Margarita". And that's how this song was made. And hence it St. Petersburgh appears in the lyrics.
Bro, usually you are pretty good at figuring out lyrics, but this one went right over your head lol. Its funny to me because i think its pretty obvious from the beginning.
I loved your honesty of reaction. Some others completely miss the meaning of so many songs. And I am glad you never said anything about St. Petersburg Florida, like another reviewer. 😊
Not Jesus - BUT, Jesus shares the same nickname as Lucifer, "morning star" (sun/son). Isaiah 14:12-15, speaking of Lucifer: "How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!" Revelation 22:16, Jesus speaking of himself: "“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
@@mrb532 No, Michael, he definitely wasn't speaking of Nebuchanazzer - not unless you are contending his name is also Lucifer. Here's Isaiah 12 from the KJV: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" So, clearly it was Lucifer being spoken of, Nebuchanazzer being merely one of many rulers of "the nations" weakened by Lucifer's fall and also because the name "Lucifer" is expressly stated therein.
@@mrb532 Of course Lucifer is a personal name (in fact my own name derives from it) - it is Satan that is not a personal name. Furthermore, it's stated expressly in the verse that it is Lucifer who is referred to and you still think it is some mortal king that fell from heaven and not an angel? I don't know what preacher you are listening to - but the plain words of the Bible prove you are wrong about that one and it makes no sense from a biblical perspective in any event.

Is there any chance that you could do a reaction to Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb live at Pulse, the greatest guitar solo ever. Thank you in advance. 👍
The Rolling Stones cover so many sub genres of rock but this is one of my favorite all-time songs from them. This and Paint It Black
If that's your reaction to this I'd hate to see what "Midnight Rambler" would do to you.
"Get down" He gets down. I'm loosing it, hahahahaha.
Dude, That was classic! 'mean it' For reals! hahaaha! You rock man
Morning from Australia Mr Video! Tune! 😊 ps. The name is in the title...😊
Loved that "A-ha" moment...good reaction man
The Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter, Torn and Frayed and Moonlight Mile are my top three.
This my favorite Rolling Stones song. I also love Ruby Tuesday and Beast of Burden by them!
Next stones, Paint it black... love the vids dude
Edit: everyone blames the devil, but where were you?!? Woo woo
Just shared your channel on my FB. Love your vids, you make me smile amid all of this serious bullshit going on. Thank you.
Pass the joint dude! Pass it to Sweden plz! 😘
That guitar tone on that solo gets me every time!
Now try the great "Gimme Shelter" by the Stones. Their best IMO
Nightwish .. Ghost love score Live in Wacken 2013... will blow your mind ! Its Brilliant
Please do the music video Start Me Up. Let's see if you have moves like Jagger 🤣
It's just the devil we didn't know we all have inside introducing himself for the first time..🔥👹🔥..
Your reaction 😂 when you realized it was the devil 👿
You had me cracking Tf up!
Needed this today!
Peace ❤ Love you!
😘💨💋
Fun fact: the" woo woo" is supposed to be demons singing back -up
Someone else said it's the train we're all riding, I think that's more likely..
No its not
Oh hell yeah. This is going to be priceless. Love this song. My favorite of theirs. Thanks. Enjoy.
No man, you're not personally to blame, "you" meaning mankind is to blame. The evil done in the world is done by humans right?
Yep😢
It loved it when The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams' band) remixed this about 20 years ago, together with The Rolling Stones even I think.
There's an epic confrontation told in another tune when Lucifer eats Frank Zappa's girlfriend, check out "T_tties & Beer" by Zappa. I think the live version here on the 'tube has some pretty hilarious parts.
Dude, I totally Love your reaction to this song, a lot like mine soo many years ago. Great song and your great reaction!Thank you!
“Tell you one time. You’re to blame!”
I had to come back and comment again, this is the funnest thing I've seen in weeks, thank you.
The song is amazing lol it speaks on almost everything tragic from the past..and how people can be just as evil lol
There stuff will blow your mind
I laughed so hard when you fell off the couch ..epic
What he saying is polite and ,,with respect, because the devil shows up in many many many different disguises.,, and he said in there if you speak my name more than once that he will enter your life. So prophetic and so much truth.
You had the best reaction to this song you never heard before. The devil wants you to be confused and feel like it's YOUR fault, hence your to blame.
We were all saved from it by Jesus.
You got it bro.
No. That’s NOT what they were expressing🙄 Humans ALWAYS have choice! Lucifer doesn’t MAKE you do anything; just revels in your wrong choices
@@source5729 Oh, by the way, I used the term "wants". As a matter of fact, I don't see the word "make" in any part of my post.?. God bless...
Lol, your reactions are AMAZING! It's actually really funny, I think you prove the point of the song in a way, the devil, or the dark side of humanity creeps up on us often in enticing packages (Like this funky beat) and we fail to see what is right in front of us...a marvelous piece of music...
They were about to go on tour again, Jagger at 76 years old, but cancelled because he is sick, or something!
Nope
Yup, now they are saying Corona
You are fantastic , Great reaction. Greetings from Brazil.
Do Stray Cat Blues by the Rolling Stones.
The guitar solo in this song is my absolute favorite piece of music ever! Your reaction to it was cool.
Lucifer was a major Angel in heaven. He was the light bringer before he fell.
Yep God's brightest angel🤔😢
Man I'm 63 and that song was a big one but had alot of controversy as you might know. Like I said the evil man does to man. Great honest reaction. Love it.
I think the devil is tired of hearing the devil made me do it
RIP Charlie Watts 08/24/21. The great drummer of The Rolling Stones and a humble and funny man. Also, the best dressed man in rock and roll.
Who cares what it's about,
It sounds incredible, what a track😎
Isaiah was actually referring to King Nebuchanazzer, not Satan.
@@rodciferri9626 Lucifer isn't a personal name. It means morning star. Read the context of the quote. He is speaking of Nebuchanazzer.
@@rodciferri9626 Isaiah wasn't speaking literally. He is saying that Nebuchanazzer fell from his glory like a morning star. Here is an article about the subject if you're actually interested in the truth bible.org/article/lucifer-devil-isaiah-1412-kjv-argument-against-modern-translations
Loved this, I was laughing out loud when you kept pausing it. There’s a stunning live version of this track from “The Rock And Roll Circus” - Mick Jagger like a visitor from the future. Highly recommend it - a reaction to it would be fun
you need to know abit about history to get the song
He don’t.
funny reaction! nice job. I didn't even mind the constant stopping because you were so entertaining.
Satan is talking in this song. All the destruction he wrought. You figured it out!
It’s the devil speaking, yes, but about the horrors he watched the human race commit by their own free will, implying to stop blaming him for all the wrongs in this world.
You got a good buzz going lol that makes two of us. This is a deep and huge song for the Stones.
Somehow 'Sympathy for Jesus' just doesn't have the same ring to it. 😆
Enjoy the reactions, you are funny! Thanks during these challenging times.
