NOTE: Just because I don't talk about a certain thing on one of these episodes DOESN'T mean I "forgot about it". If I talked everything, these episodes would be 9 hours long; and nobody wants a 9 hour episode.
Hate to disagree, James---but your reviews are SO GOOD, that I, for one, would enjoy a nine-hour episode if you're doing the recap!! But seriously, great recap!
Just a small little fun fact: Sound stage 21 in Orlando now known as the impact zone during the mid 1990s, Was the same stage used for Nickelodeon Guts. As a little kid I wanted to climb that Aggro Cragg especially when it was revamped for seasons 3-4 it looked much more menacing.
A lot of good stuff from TNA in the year of '02 alone: •Ken Shamrock being the first NWA Heavyweight Championship. •Ron 'The Truth' Killings having the best run of his career; cutting very heartfelt promos, which led to Killing defeating Ken Shamrock for the NWA Heavyweight Championship. •Anything from the X Division. •Raven's feud with James Mitchell's New Church stable. •Hardcore matches that featured ECW Originals such as New Jack & Sandman. •The rise of Triple X (Christopher Daniels, Low-Ki & Elix Skipper) & America's Most Wanted (James Storm & Chris Harris) in the Tag Team Division.
Another favorite of mine from the Asylum Era was the World X Cup Finals between Team Canada (Teddy Hart, Petey Williams, Johnny Divine & Jack Evans) & Team AAA (Juventud Guerrera, Hector Garza, Abismo Negro (R.I.P.) & Mr. Aguila). Whenever I was at my Grandma's house, I would keep up with TNA's Greatest Matches via Comcast's On-Demand channel.
I remember the asylum years from ken shamrock winning the nwa world heavyweight title. To ron the truth killings winning the nwa world heavyweight title. To many crazy matches and unexpected heel turns to wild and crazy debuts. Even guys like aj styles and samoa joe breaking out and making names for themselves.
You know James, there actually was another controversial thing that happened during the first 11 weeks before Dixie was brought in. On the August 14 episode, Don Harris wrestled Malice in a Last Man Standing Match. And he wore what appeared to be a Nazi shirt. Look it up on Dailymotion and see for yourself. Hell, TNA actually apologized to viewers at home because a lot of people were not happy with that. It's actually edited out on the Global Wrestling Network. I should now cause I have the Global Wrestling Network. Maybe that was why Health South backed out. Because after that episode is when they left TNA. They actually taped the August 21 and 28 episodes. Did you hear anything about that?

In terms of solo wrestlers who competed in the asylum for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, which ones do not get talked about unlike the huge successful wrestlers like A.J. Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Ron 'The Truth' Killings, among others?

Hey.... this isn't Test & Albert!
Early TNA was amazing. They were a real alternative wrestling company. I wished they would of kept this greatness in their later years.
Mexico's AAA uses the 6-Sided ring & Japan's Toryumon (now known as Dragon Gate) used it for their T-2000 event.
Note: TNA had their original Best of the Bloodiest Brawls DVD made in 2003 and it got pulled because of the Raven bloody scalping.
I always wondered why I never saw it when I bought some DVDs from their online store.

Piper also referred to Owen as his 'cousin', considering the fact that he was a close family friend.
I've seen different places that's stated that Piper was a distant cousin to the Hart Family(like 4th/5th cousin; something like that)
Man I just thought of an idea for a future episode. New Japan Pro Wrestling: The Dark Days (Antonio Inoki’s MMA obsession).
Ohh God, dont bring back those awful memories. Inokism has been covered by other New Japan Channels out there
@@Bearcat-MMA that that Arrow was bad really bad I know it was where popular in the mid-2000s it will also know that the Neo Revolution
Keep up the good work

For the few shows of the asylum years that I saw that were available on TH-cam, the best matches to me were between AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn.

Hey random question but does anyone gave the video package for the build up for the first clockwork Orange house of fun match??
Now that you covered TNA are you ever going do a New Japan episode one day?
