what position needs to be valve open? closed? or between when you install thermostatic operator?

Thanks for the question. Since this is the valve with a pre-setting, the setting should be set as mentioned in the video, in that case on 3. You can check the correct setting for your radiator valve using Danfoss Installer App, with Radiator Presetting tool www.danfoss.com/en/service-and-support/downloads/dhs/danfoss-installer-app/#tab-overview. Once the radiator valve is mounted, turn up radiator thermostat to 5, and then down to 3, as shown in the video.

Please give more information on the adjustable ring. It is clear how it relates to the figure table, but how does it work? As Loftur Hjalmarsson asks below, how should it be set
    for maximum flow?

      Hi Jan
The adjustable ring is connected to an orifice in the valve.
With this ring it is possible to set the correct flow for the radiator.
With this you can make a static balancing of the system by setting the presetting to the correct amount of water.
The maximum for the valve is pos. (N). The valve goes from 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and N
      Have a good day

@@DanfossHeating Hi, i have the same issue :) I set the valve in N position and put the thermostat back, all the way open (5) but it gets cold so I have to remove the whole thermostat and use the radiator without it. That's a bit too hot. any suggestions?

Hi @@sasant310, Thank you for your comment.
It can be the setting 'N' is the imagined setting, but in reality it is not and perhaps on a low value (1-3 or so) or even worse; in between 1 and N meaning the valve is fully closed. The 'pointer' (in reality more like a small | on the valve body) for setting the valve is very small and sometimes hard to recognize, a mistake can be made here. This 'pointer' also depends the exact product type which was used.
You mention when the thermostat is removed, it gets too hot. The practical way to solve it is to have a rubber hammer and tick on the valve body a few times to see if it 'gets loose'. If so, it would be a temporary solution and same can be expected when heating is switched off for longer period of time again in future. But for short term issues, it is solved. Hope this was helpful so far :-) Please, reach out to us for any further information if needed.

      Hello Andrii
      Thank you for the question.
We have set Delta P to 10, because in typical radiators the pressure drop about 10 kPa.

Please tell me size of this wrench on 1:18

Depends on the size of the valve.
If the valve is for 1/2" then it's 1/2", if it's 3/4" it's 3/4"... you can guess the rest.

the adjustable ring around pin ting , what , how , to set it for maximum flow or what purpose has it. chosen number seems to be supposed to point towards oven raddiator heater, . guess the n means no flow, and numbers for max flow , 1 for little , 7 much .
