Halo looks very cool. Can’t wait to see more videos of this awesome tundra :) it is so nicely built that your grandson will love driving it

Great video! Are you able to explain your wiring a bit more in depth? I'm doing the same install as you with the Auxbeam switch panel. Did you just completely eliminate the control box all together and wired each light directly to the Auxbeam? If you wanted white halos as well as the amber could you have put the blue wire to a 3rd switch? Thanks!

Sure, there are I remember 4 wires coming out of the light, positive, negative, amber drl, white drl. I wired the positive and negative to one port of my auxbeam switch panel, and then amber drl to a positive port, and you can wire the white drl to another positive port so it would then take up 3 ports/switches. You only need to have one negative connected to the auxbeam. At least that is how I understand it and it has been working well for me.

@@4WDisLife Thanks for that explanation! I’ve seen people wiring the yellow and green wires to switches but you’re the first one I’ve seen just eliminate the control box all together. Your way seems much simpler when using your own switch pane. Thanks again!

@@johnsoff-road No problem, just be careful maybe not having the amber and white drl on at the same time, I could see that being an issue and maybe the OEM relay box was more for protection of that, I love the amber drl so I didn't even wire my white one up.

@@4WDisLife yes I was thinking that same thing if they were both powered on together.

I’m wanting to mount these as ditch lights. But i have a neighbor offering me some KC flex 4s for the same price as these as a pair. Id wonder how quality you find these. Housing I can’t tell if it’s metal? The video is 4 months old. Still love them? They look super cool. And I think that would look great on my tundra. Id like to pass the wire through and have a factory looking switch but with all the modes of these lights I doubt I can achieve that.

The lights are still holding up well, I am pretty sure the housing is some sort of aluminum alloy metal. I do agree that the amber halo ring is super cool and unique on these lights, and they will make a great addition to your tundra. Factory style switch can be achieved, just need two switches one for main light and one for halo DRL I think. Either Kc or these would be good option for lighting, hope you are happy with whatever you pick! Cheers🎉

@@4WDisLife I did find a switch by Cali Raised. SQUARE STYLE DUAL FUNCTION TOYOTA OEM STYLE "AMBER & WHITE" SWITCH. Sending them an email to see if both can toggle on and off at the same time. These lights say they have 6 modes, which is where I think I’d loose functionality by going w a factory switch. Then again a simple on off for the amber and the high flood fog would work for me. I want them for driving in the forest either summer or snow in the winter. Your truck looks pretty cool with those on your bumper. And I appreciate the fine tools you used, a mark of a man that both cares and knows how to do it. Thanks for the swift reply. Cheers.

@@christopherr7195from I can remember there’s only three main mode, main led, amber halo and white halo, I don’t think it actually has six modes, unless you do the combination of main light and halos. Also maybe consider the larger 6 inch halo since our tundras are huge and personally I do believe the larger halo lights fit the size of tundras better.

@@4WDisLife I was wondering the same. These trucks are big. I noticed the bajas you had being much brighter. But also a lot bigger. Suppose they do call them 3” because that’s how tall they are. 6”. Ok gonna go look ha

@@christopherr7195yea baja squadron pro is little brighter than these novsight lights. I’d also recommend you check out the harbor freights road shock edge series lights, they are budget friendly and one of the best light I tested, I actually use them for my baseline test with other bigger lights.
