If you look at the compare chart on the fitbit website, there's a red dash for Google Play meaning it probably won't have any third-party apps. Or else it would have said coming soon like Google wallet and maps. Because of this I disagree with what they're selling it for. I'm really disappointed since I kept my Versa 1 for another year hoping that the Sense 2 would have gotten it right but it only got worse. The problem with the Sense 1 is that there's no physical button that everyone was complaining about. It's on sale now for $170.
I totally agree I'm disappointed with having no third party apps. I still don't know about third party apps yet though. Yes it won't have the Play Store, but it isn't running Wear OS so the Play Store wouldn't have done much. Since it is a new user interface, 3rd party apps will need to develop for the new UI. I'm still keeping my hopes up.
At the moment I have the Charge4 and recently it recorded an irregular heartbeat which prompted me to see a cardiologist. The doctor told me I should get a tracker watch that has an ekg/ecg but I am not made of money and cannot spend a lot of money on something like that. He of course recommends Apple. Aside from Apple I have seen that the Sense2 and the Charge5 have the ecg ability. To me it seems a waste of money to buy any of these if none are as close to being perfect.
It is really up to you. Nothing will be the most perfect with out the perfect conditions abd higher end equipment. I would say go with the Charge 5 as it will be the least expensive option, but then there are stand alone devices that will also work better
@@FitnessWithFrost Thank you. I have alreadhy had 3 different Charge models and I liked all of them. I know that none are 100% perfect but I wanted to get as close as I can with what I was told to get in regards to having the ecg.
Mine has to be charged everyday I picked this one over The Apple Watch for the battery life and I regret it I had a fitbit blaze before this and LOVED it wore it for 5 years and somehow I’m disappointed in what should be a huge upgrade Also miss music control
I would definitely push you to The Quantified Scientist. His reviews are so thorough when it comes to heart rate and sleep tracking. He hasn't done the Sense 2 yet. His tests if the Apple Watches out them as top teir optical heart rate sensor
Starting in March 2023, Fitbit will remove support for the Deezer and Pandora apps, and with it there will be no ability to listen to music offline on either device. I wonder if anyone has the knowledge to tweak the firmware so that the watches can play audio files again (like the Versa 2 model), since they have 4 gigs for music.
The Sense 1 does have ECG. Another one to look at would be the Galaxy Watch 4 or 5. They are going to be less battery life, but a better smart watch. Hopefully that's helpful
@@FitnessWithFrost I truly apprieciate your response. Would love the Galaxy 4 and bonus is price has dropped by 50% just a day ago here in Australia, only issue is as you suggested, poor battery life meaning charging it every night. I have came across another watch "Withings ScanWatch" claims made is one of the best tech for heart monitoring and up to 30 days battery life (10 days if constant use of many features which 10 days is still very good) but negatives are no pay system like a google pay option or answer calls. Well i don't think so as i can't find information on it. Would love a review from you on it as i highly respect your investigations and opinion.
I haven't gotten my hands on the Withins watch yet. I know the UI is going to be a little but more simple. If you do you the Watch 4 you will most likely need to charge every night unless you find a good charging schedule
The one thing that has kept me away from Fitbit every time I've tested one out is the lack of dark mode in their mobile app. They could introduce dark mode, make it a premium feature and I'd happily pay double.

I like how you change the room light between green and red for like and didn’t like 😅
It's a new thing I tried. I'm glad you enjoyed it

I wish you the best of luck with everything and I hope for the best of heart health as well

Using a sense 2 now and im seeing 3rd party watch faces...is that good sign that apps might be next?
Is the Heart Rate monitoring of Sense 2 similar to the original Fitbit Sense?
Very similar. I didn't notice much it any of a difference in accuracy
It would be very informative if you compare the Fitbit Heart Rate with Apple Watch with the new Fitbit OS

@@FitnessWithFrost alright
Let me know how everything goes

I'm hoping to get this for Christmas 🙂
Thanks for the info. Does the Sense 1 have ECG? this is my biggest selling point. Also if you can advise me which other watches has the ECG feature?
