Dear Sridhar, your videos, especially ones that are relationship related is such a help. Please do make more videos like these, so that people like me can become educated in relationship science. Your videos are scientific and logical and seem to be really unbiased. Keep up the good work. expecting more videos like this. Regards.

Basically, I feel increasing trend of parents staying together with the couple is the basic cause of distance in the couple relationship n later many other issues stem out.

It happens after 15-17 yrs of marriage 😊. Now a days may be after 10 yrs . But it’s 100 percent true fights n misunderstandings happens between husband wife . Either one of them becomes submissive n listen to other partner . I have seen husbands also get dominated by wives in some household just to maintain peace at home . It’s not always other way round . But unfortunately most ppl can’t do much n stay in the relationship n see the positives n move on . Because as ppl grow old children future is also important. So ppl focus on there children rather than fighting n arguing all d time . But yes there would be extreme cases in d society too where divorce or separation is the only way out for both the partners .

Very valid points. I get couples who r in their mid 50s and 60s (retired from jobs) who have lots of differences which were repressed all these years bec of nurturing and caring for their children, and being busy with their respective professional lives, etc and didn't have sufficient time to reflect on the relationship.
Now they feel it's too difficult to make amends. I try to convince them small changes in habits and negotiating in certain behaviours will ease the negativity in the relationship. Such minor changes are helping people who try consciously consciously.
Thanx for the videos. I share most of your videos to all the couples who come to me for therapy.
