- This build was said to be shadow nerfed in the new elden ring update. Im here to show you that the impenetrable thorns spell is just as strong as before but ive made it even stronger now with a few honest buffs like white mask, lord of blood talisman, and the NEW sacred bloody flesh buff. This build gains additional buffs from our gear like white mask, the rakshasa set, staff of the guilty, and seppuku! Utilizing the maternal staff arcane scaling, we can achieve over 1,000 bleed buildup and upwards of 50,000 damage from our spell impenetrable thorns! Edit: You can use alberiches set if you want, i didnt because i also included a weapon 9:30 alberiches set only provides a buff for the spell and only on the head chest and hands, no buff from his pants. so you would only want to use the chest or hands here. i just prefer rakshasa for an overall damage buff and better armor stats but yeah use whatever you want lol
Couldn't you use the bloodsucking crystal tear for another 20% damage buff?

but doesnt rakshasas set make the armor stats pretty useless because of the more damage debuff? at least if its a boss that cant be killed in a few seconds through this

honestly, staying at 150 is fuckin stupid even if pvp is your main gig - there's just no reason to limit to such a low level

@@nxvh9062 Agreed. 150 is stupid. My NG+5 FTH/STR char (pre dlc) is level 360 and my my NG+2 DEX/ARC char (that I started dlc with on NG+2) is level 240 and counting. Probably 250 by the time I am on NG+3.
I have multiple characters that are around level 150 but I am not even done with NG on them. 150 is too low, it should be minimum 250.

I think the game needs a easy one shot type build this is basically base game version of comet azur
I'm confident that this will be safe the only reason perfume got nerfed is cuz the glitch where you aim it at the ground. Impenetrable thorns is powerful but only when player use all the right talismans and stats and armor to make it so. Nothing with the spells itself

Glad to see the Blacksteel Twinblade getting love, not enough people talk about it which is a damn shame. It reminds me of pre-nerf Backhand Blades, those guys could also insta-bleed with their running R2's while being faster. But the Twinblade is a welcome replacement.

I tried farming those two Black Knights north of the High Road Cross S.O.G., but I don't think they drop the twinblade. I got a bunch of armor pieces if anyone wants a set, or 50.

Any advice on an INT-ARC spellblade/halfcaster?
My read so far has been to only hit stat minimums for FAI and INT then just pile into dex & arc, as the current infusions make INT-ARC melee a nightmare.

Do you have a good madness build? I haven’t seen any good one’s lately.
Seems like madness is only really utilized in PvP. 90 percent of bosses in PvE aren’t affected by madness

Would thorny cracked tear pair well with this? Given that it has stonger consecutive attacks
After 2 hours this build let me nuke Consort on NG+5 screw taht boss but thanks for the build saved me stress
Jellyfish Shield buff in left hand I find is about equal or better than having the thorn staff in the left hand. It increases all damage by 20% for 30 seconds. I never do seppuku or sacred bloody flesh. I only use white mask, the blood talisman, spell talisman, golden vow, and jellyfish shield buff.

I could’ve sworn you made this video before, it is actually how I took down the final boss in my 2nd play through. Either way thanks for the build, the last boss is truly infuriating
good video pretty sure alberich's set wiht white mask is a better dps then the new set it boost thorn sorecy and should be around 18% more dmg compared to rakshasa set
alberich set works but the pants dont give the buff, only the chest and gauntlets would be useable here, i prefered rakshasa since i also included a weapon not just the sorcery @ 9:30

Tried a few tips for fighting radhan, none worked for me, never got him below 50%. Impenetrable thorns with a few magic and blood buffs, and he melted.
Is the blacksteel twinblade on blood affinity?

How does this compare to dropping INT and just going FAITH and using Staff of the Guilty?

dude i made an rl1 build with impenetrable thorns and it fs doesnt delete bosses AS fast but it still is ridiculously fast
That's cause a lot of these guys leave out they are like level 700 San ng+7 in RL average players like 150
I’m so glad I beat the final boss pre-patch with rolling sparks. Because I was not beating him. He was too ridiculous. I may not have beat grayle or anything. But I’m not going back. Especially since I already seen spoilers and the fights. And I explored and got every map location so I’m good.

I have lvl 250 character, where to put these extra points to make this build even better? Could get int/arc to 80(90 with flesh) and replace it tear, or keep int/arc and put more point into end for better Armor?
It would probably be best if you level up mind and endurance then arcane for more bleed then intelligence for more damage.

used a slightly different version of this on the final boss yesterday, stats were different so I could still use the black knight shield and elden beasts sword because it's aow does a lot of damage to him in the first phase, ca. 3-5K per hit. The boss was still the hardest I've ever fought, impossible without a shield, took me 5 hours trying anything out and then another 3 to finally kill him with the thorns and the sword. so thanks. Im never gonna fight him again lmao. its like he's on NG+7 even though I had all 50 scadu fragments and the highest possible resistances, still one or two shot me. Before the update he felt much easier for some reason, almost had him on my 3rd attempt, did they nerf everything else but buff him or was he somehow bugged for me ...?
With lvl 200+ it's better to up int to 80 end or mind ? It's interessent to up Staff of Guilty or just +0 ?

Thx for the heIp! I managed did 17300 damage to last boss, phasing him with a single cast. I went with 40 int, 80 arc and the Beloved Stardust talisman.
My blood buildup is only 137, im level 603 so im a lil confused + Im using the exact same build

great guide! Does it matter which seal you use? I assume we are off-handing another staff just for the thorns buff so it doesn't need to be leveled correct?

It comes with the Rakshasa set, you deal more dmg in turn you take more

So is it just me or did they also take bosses out of the base game. I could be wrong but i feel like things that used to be bosses are no longer bosses but buffed up enemies. The two i noticed are the gargoyle outside of beast sanctum and the tree avatar before avenue site of grace. Have i been gone to long that i forgot or what im so lost someone help please😊
I really hope they don't nerf this one. This works so well in NG+7 with buff stacking. I was literally ready to quit playing until this, so thanks. I'll be pissed if they nerf us again. The PvE is tough enough at NG+7.
