THIS SORCERY IS CRAZY, i used a 3rd party program to show me the status resistances of the elder dragon greyoll in caelid! I was instantly procing BLOOD LOSS with over 1,300 bleed build up in ONE SPELL CAST. Using arcane will allow you to build up as much bleed as possible! This sorcery is a thorn sorcery boosted by alberiches set, and activates buffs from white mask and lord of blood talisman buffs if you are near the bleed proc!
@Sickamoree I'm a only spell caster build lvl 341. I used these spells: Golden Vow, Holy Divine Fort, and Impenetrable Thorns. Flask Mix: I used Cerulan Hidden Tear, And Opaline Bubble Tear. (This is added because when I enter fog I spam mimic (who also spams thorns) and do not want to get one shot from enter 1 sec in the fight) Stats: Vigor 60, Mind 60, Endurance 60, Strength 10 or so but ignore this, Dexterity 80, Intelligence 21, Faith 24, Arcane 80. Scadutree Blessing: 14. Spirit Ash Blessing: 7. Gear: +25 Maternal Staff, (Which is given after going through Ymir quest line I believe but look it up should be a guide) +25 Gravel Stone Seal, (better options but still worked) Verdigris Armor Set, (Bullgoat set is also viable however the concept is to keep medium load and not get 1 shot) Talismans: Arsenal Charm, (helps with equipment load) Dragoncrest Greatshield, (need this no doubt) Golden Braid, (Boost Holy damage by the utmost amount which not sure how much h but game changer and also can't remember where I found it but please look it up very useful) and Bull Goat's Talismans (even more poise). ***TIP*** When you get to fog. Summon avaliable Ai Cooperative summons. Next buff yourself and use mix flask.

That stupid ass dragon is prob the worst designed boss of the dlc. I don’t get why they couldn’t make his body targetable. His head constantly moves up and the camera is absolutely jank.
It works very well with the staff that boosts thorns sorcery too if you have a faith build but the Maternal staff is the best. I hope it is not nerfed.
Quick question scaling attributes don’t carry over to the main hand does it? I’m sitting here theory craftin the spell is Amazing but building solely around it feels sorta glass cannony especially if it runs the risk to get nerfed, if you were looking to make a hybrid build with prince of death in your right and the mother staff on your left when you cast the spell since POD staff has no arcane would the spell get arcane from the mother staff by default you would think if you get passive skills you should get passive scaling to right? 🤔

Gotta figure out how to get Mantle of Thorns next lol also, I'm using a Faith build, so I'm using the Staff of the Guilty and it still procs bleed fairly well

Thats “the full commit to the thorns” setup that maxes the spell, then throw some blood talismans and whatever else you prefer. I killed the final boss in about 40 seconds with mimic tear with that build lol 80 dex 80 arc though. It’s going to get nerfed.

It says in black and white on my game when you look at the Maternal Staff you only need +11 INT. I don't get why your screen says 21. Something must be changing the requirement.
Thorns delivered the final blow on radahn i end up getting thorns by exploring early game i tried it but didn't pay Attention to the bleed damage all i know this spell completely annihilated every boss in the yhe game completeled the base game and shadow of the realms and now exploring before another new game plus to build a hybrid thorn build using this spell leaves you open and requires a certain amount of lil space to spam funny fact tho this spell my 3rd option 😂
Considering that not every boss in the game does actually bleed I'm not a fan of putting that much points into arcane, imo int should be the highest, sorcery scaling of 266 is not gonna cut it with any DLC or late game boss that is immune to bleed.
About 80 percent of the bosses can be bled so its definitely a viable build and carried me through my first playthrough. Only main bosses that cant be bled is radagon,elden beast and astel oh and the gargoyles. Prolly missing one more boss but thats about it

I don't understand why these sorceries, incantations, et cetera need to be patched. The game is *inherently* difficult, if we can make it easier legitimately then so be it. Is everything going to get patched to the point of having to run around with no armor and using a club?

1:33 It was in one of the very early patches, apparently if you have 99 arc only 20% of your total arc scaling gets applied to the status buildup.
It was implemented to counter the Dragon Communion Seal, Frenzyflame Burst chain stunlock in PvP.
This will 100% get nerfed but I might as well use it on Bayle the Dread

I actually find that it kinda sucks because you just get killed while trying to cast the thorns.

I found this spell by total accident last night fighting enemies I was so happy 😂
its wild that bleed builds were already so good then they introduce a weapon able to oneshot bleed most enemies and a spell that is giga broken for it

The repeat bow does better for status than black bow.
And the bone bow is pretty much just a better black bow, as it fires rapidly and has homing.

gonna be honest you'd benefit from swapping your equip load and charge attack talismans to boosting your incantations and sorcery
do you need to where to full set of Thorn or cant you just use Rakshasa armor for that dmg boost per pice worn

Maternal Staff seems to have bugged status scaling, it shouldn't apply the full "A" scaling to the bleed buildup but it does.
