  • Ever wanted to hear what a bike that can redline at 19k rpm sounds like? So did we!
This 1994 Honda CBR250RR belongs to a customer of ours and before it went on the auction block, he let us take it for a spin. No music, no talking, just a few minutes of our time on this classic up in the Santa Monica Mountains!
This bike is currently up for auction on Iconic Motorbikes:

Nailed it! You guys have a unique opportunity to ride & film these icons. It's our responsibility as viewers to stand in a circle and chant "Do it! Do it! Do it!"

The screaming baby Honda, fantastic sound and incredible redline. Rode one in the UK in the 90's, a great pocket rocket😀

Thank you! We did one with a RZV500R three years ago and would like to do more when we have the time:

As we look to the future for what would be next in this series, do you have any requests? Next will probably be my personal Bimota Tesi 3D.

Whenever high redlines are mentioned, I always think of 2006 and the new Yamaha R6. Yamaha made a big deal out of its claimed and frankly crazy 17,500 redline. But in reality it was more like 16,400 once people actually put them on a dyno.

It is supposedly a similar story with these old japanese pocket rockets. The dash claims ~19k rpm but in reality they were only doing 17/18k IIRC

Great video, would love to see more like these. Please adjust the field of vision for the POV camera. we can hardly see the road. It's good to get the dashboard but you can use a chest mount or mount it on the chin. With a few mount extensions you can get a perfect angle.

Great feedback, we're going to figure that out as it does vary a bit by bike as well. Thanks!

We got ripped off in the states by not getting legit 250cc and 400’s other then the fzr400. My first full size bike was a 93 250 ninja twin I had it for 6 months if we had received the inline 250’s I know for sure I would have had it much longer then that.

100% agreed! My first was a '08 Ninja 250 - and that bike was basically the same as what you had because Kawasaki had such little competition that they didn't need to evolve it...

Is the Snake open or is this closed course?

This was on Las Flores Canyon Road. I believe the Snake may be opening up soon on a trial basis?

Nice bike but 250 inline 4's are gutless and deliver zero torgue and get very tiresome to ride as its all revs and no action, a tzr3xv or a honda nsr would run rings around this and the 400 version,.

I don't think anyone disagrees that this makes less power than a 250cc two-stroke, we just wanted to share the sounds of a cool bike that is very hard to find here in the US!
It's something different and the maintenance schedule is definitely a lot easier!

Many many moons ago I rode my then Yamaha fzr2503LN from Sydney to Melbourne and back to visit family. 2000kms return. Yes it was cramped and sounded like a swarm of bees but geez it was fun blasting through the corners and hitting redline.
      Amazing pieces of engineering

Some little putz with 2 videos on video games and 4 subscribers says I shouldn't share my opinion.... so that's definitive...

Next time you think about sharing your opinion, don't.
