That is all correct so far, well done. To add two things: Visiting a Kindergarten (you mentioned in the last video) is highly recommended before starting elementary school, as they teach the basics, like how to hold a pen and draw inside the lines, how to use a scisor, count to ten and sit still and listen for a while. Second, even if it is a German school, due to refugees and asylum seekers, most schools offer a class for pupils with German as second language. And as long as the kids also speak English, it should be no problem for them to speak to the teachers, as they all speak English as well. And depending on how long you wanna stay in Germany, kids learn German very fast and get lots of new German friends (classmates) from the neighbourhood, while in international schools, the pupils are often from all over the city or region, so it will be not so easy to take the bicycle and ride or walk 5 minutes to the new friends. (Yes, our kids walk themselves to friends in the neighbourhood, US-Americans always wonder about that). At the same time, the parents get in contact to other German parents (who also almost all speak English as well) and so could improve their own German skills.
