All great stuff! I have to be honest! As an engineering tech, I have serious concerns with mechanical device failures, such as springs, clutches, non-threadlocked screw fasteners, etc. Think I prefer good old fashioned friction knots as the primary control. Maybe double SRT lines with all prusik friction for foot and chest ascending! Call me overly cautious!

The rubber keepers work great for every carabiner, and don't need tools. The DMM grommet also functions well for the Akimbo. Cheaper, easier, and no tools required.
