  • ‘No’ is a full sentence. If you’re a people pleaser, that thought probably makes you break out in a cold sweat. Setting a boundary, saying no? Doesn’t that hurt relationships? Actually, it’s the opposite.
Not being able to set boundaries is REALLY harmful to relationships. Today, we're getting into why, and tackling three steps to set better boundaries (to gain respect) with the people in your life.

Melony, I just ran into your channel this morning after your video popped up in my recommended section. I'm so happy that your videos exist, and that you're raising awareness about these topics. It helps one to feel less alone, and provides more guidance on how to overcome these issues that can sometimes feel so debilitating to live with. I'm hoping to be a part of the community when it comes to raising awareness on these issues, especially in the area of women feeling more empowered and being more comfortable in being able to state their needs and set boundaries x I'm not a feminist, but I do see women struggling a ridiculous amount because of bad boundaries.

Love love love your comment. Of course I 100% agree with all of what you say. And thanks, because you are explaining exactly why I started talking about myself on a public forum like this. It is important that we, as women and people, start to help each other become who we already are. Strong and resourcseful, and entitled to happiness and freedom. Welcome, and I look forward to having you along for the journey.

honestly I never thought about it like this, how you've tied it to respect. setting boundaries with people has always been really tough for me, it's hard to imagine being really comfortable with it, but maybe i can get there. Subbed

I was once a people pleaser with limited boundries, and it only made me resentful...its been a tough journey but I now have healthy boundaries in place and I am so much happier as a person..the rule is to stop carrying people who are able to walk on their own.

    Excellent video!
Boundary setting is not easy for me, especially with people who react quickly in a defensive or angry way.
It's so true though, the more clear we can be about our boundaries, the better and the more likely that we don't get a lot of backlash (and even if we do we can be ok with it). It's definitely a learning process.
I like how you reinforce/ highlight your messages with written text popping up in your older videos.

Thanks 😊 yes boundaries are so difficult. Especially with people who are close to me or who I think have authority over me. It’s a work in progress. And thanks for the feedback on the words. Love it
