Marty Robbins had the most beautiful singing voice, not only singing country music, ballads and Hawaiian music too. (Jerry Byrd, steel guitarist, played for Marty Robbins, he loved Hawaiian music too. When living in Nashville with his first wife and two daughters, I grew up on the same street, daughters attended the same schools too.) Marty Robbins had a very appealing personality, a very nice smile, handsome, a very nice dresser, and sexy too. He and and his son favored very much at this time, seeing him in these videos. My father and stepmother is buried not not far from him, his wife, and Webb Pierce in Nashville. My husband, my mother, and I will be too. My Daddy was a fan of his, saved the albums he had if his. From A Nashville Girl (MUSIC CITY USA PROUD!)

Just fabulous. Makes me realise all the more what we lost when he died. Where are the likes of him, Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves today ?

Hi Tarquin!I watched your clips of Marty and it gives me somuch joy in my life. There is always one thing I always regret in my life and that is that I never met this wonderful person in life.Marty was one of the kind and as long as I live I will always respect him and I hope that when my life is over that we will have the change to meet him in Heaven. He must be a wonderful great person who had always time for his fans and a great husband and father for his wife Marizona and his children.Thanks.

Thanks to you jhtenvelde. These 68/69 shows are Marty at his very best aren't they? I wish that they would release his mid 1970's 'Spotlight' shows on DVD. It probably won't ever happen due to copywrite and royalty issues.

I started loving Marty at the age of 11, as I bought the first record of my life (it was "Devil woman") and I still love him today. For me he is the greatest Country singer we ever had and will ever have. Many of his songs make me cry, but in a happy kind of way.

@tarquin45 How sad: I was looking for the studio recording of THE BEGINNING OF GOODBYE, from the album LOST AND FOUND. No luck!
