14:34 Abuti Tebogo needs to do a bit of an introspection. You can't have the same exact experience with two different individuals and yet all the blame lies on them. There's certainly something he wasn't getting right on his end as wel. And that's my two cents.

  • @swazi4769
    @swazi4769 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

I love this show and this topic was great.
There are mother in laws who will never ever accept any wife for their children. The wife can be loving, understanding and submissive to the point of breaking their own backs for acceptance. There are mother in laws who are just demons nje.
Then we have wives who also have a mentality that their are marrying the husband and not the family and they are tempted to take over instead of building. These wives are also toxic.
Then we have husband's or son's that have no back bone and are old in age but very young in leadership and decision making. These men are not ready to be men, let alone husband's.
I loved what Mme Ranaka and the other lady said, the man must set the tone.
Husband knows his family and mother best, he must set the tone and this tone is not set after the wedding. It's set the day he decides to have you as his wife and introduce's you to his parents or parent.
If he has a stubborn and unreasonable mother then he must be prepared to stand by you as the wife at all cost.
That's part of leadership. He sets the tone and the standard since he is the one bringing you into his territory, otherwise it is bound to fall apart.

I will always love my wife and honor my mother. I cannot by any means sleep with my mother, but at anytime with my wife. Simply put, there are kinds of love and so, in the case of a wife and mother, the both love given cannot be labeled the same. Men who say “I love my mother than my wife” are nepeos (children). You’ve got to be a husband which means you should have the right values and be straightforward and unbiased! Two-way street. I love my wife!!! I honor my mother.

That daddy with a cap...he failed because he is so belittling!!!
He keeps attacking his partners maturity and saying that they children... and it’s very clear that he wants exactly what he is attracting...
Someone who will move to his tune.
But he is not ready to look in the mirror .... and that’s why Mpho said... he needs healing!
First thing is to be at a place where he can use better adjectives for his previous partners....
Incompatible vs. maturity of a child

This episode was over too soon☹. The edits really cut the flow of the conversation & I think they only scratched the surface. It would've helped for us to 1st get an introduction and more insightful story about all the guests, coz the bits & pieces they gave us throughout this edited version left me with so many unanswered questions. The questions could've been more planned & structured for such an interesting and rather deep topic. Otherwise, thank you all for your time and insights.

My mom-in-law kicked me out of my marital home and changed the locks after giving birth, holding a 2 week old baby with a c-section. As we speak I have need to go to court because his son stands by her. I lost my job, hubby paid lobola and a celebration was done but now I am being told I am not his wife and because he purchased the house, therefore i want him to marry me because of the house. This is the same man I stood with in a rented cottage with only cold water during lockdown and now I'm a gold digger. I need a good lawyer, I have a approached the court and mominlaw decided to bring lawyers as she is monied, very controlling too. I need urgent help...

After giving birth via c section, she came to my house insisting that I was supposed to be in her house since returning from hospital, for peace sake I went there, I cooked, cleaned washed and hanged laundry even the sheets that I slept on for those 5 days that I was there but she had the audacity to tell my family that she expected me to wash the blankets too, imagine. @@kentaprises I mean yes we agree this is childish behaviour but at the same time there could be some merit for the daughter in law behavior sometimes adults can really push you to a state of unconsciousness.one can only take so much of being present and trying to understand someone bad behaviour but we also hear that the mother in law is a psycho who goes as far as buying the same dress..in these situations the husband is the problem hes often weak and spineless. The poor girl is probably so exhausted with this mother in law.Mother in law should be the adult in the situation let's say maybe she really forgot that she requested for that piece of meat to be reserved then in that case she would have apologized but the fact that this ended up in a feud points to much deeper issues it was never about the meat. This happens in many relationships when people are not prepared to be authentic then you'll catch them fighting pettiness because they just failed to look each other in the eye and say mom that was not ok..and strictly speaking if the mother in law loves the daughter in law you know what it would be like she would have killed anyone who touched that piece of meat because she would have said it's my daughters meat but clearly the woman is not ok and for her to be ok not to see her grandchildren for 2 years over this points to some seriously poor emotional intelligence. In general people can really test your patience. The daughter in law felt unloved and unprotected by her.The husband as well is in a stick position because clearly he must choose his wife and family.ultimately they are all at fault but mostly the mother in law is problematic
