@@Olson34 that would always be 54 so it doesnt really make any sense, you want monster level 3 higher than your level. monster level in a nm dungeon is 50 +1 +the level of the key, his formula gives you the same number
The fastest way to lvl is to get Boost party - where u get gold back that you pay in the first place , items and super fast lvl -ling is the best way to level a alt !
Haven't read all comments so in case no one else has mentioned it... Legion events happen every half hour on a schedule. The map icon will be visible sometime between XX:00 -to XX:05 and XX:30 to XX:35.
TLDR: Do these things in this priority Legions > Unfinished Strongholds > Whispers of the Dead Dungeons > Favorite Farming Dungeon Remember to get the campfire buff at Legion events!
@JMack007 works til 70, then you need NM for the glyph exp and you add helltides too, 70+ is generally legions>helltides>NM with ideal affixes/routes.
You can start NM dungeons in NM once you have some sacred items. Torment NM dungeons are much better xp wise, but once they patch in porting directly to dungeons (possibly this coming Tues) it's going to be the best way to do it.

I knew legions is huge but I did not think that we needed to unlock strongholds first. That's a good tip. Getting the strongholds asap wouldn't take long as I think there are just three per zone. Legion, Dungeon for tree, fast dungeon till nightmare dungeons- easy peasy.
Just to let you know, I found that as long as you start the dungeon before the time runs out you still get the tree of whispers credit for finishing it.
Mine has been hit and miss. I think there is a timer IE 5 minutes after it end on the map it still counts but after that it doesn't. Sometimes it counts for me, sometime not and my only bit of info is how close to the wire it was before i went is. I could also just be unlucky AF.
Pro tip on that one. If you only have 10 mins don't attempt to finish it, just move on to a new zone. Some dungeons you can do in under 10m, but not all, especially depending on what tasks they give you to do, some take more time, I.E. Killing every mod in the area takes longer than Collect animus. And there's always PLENTY others to do.
I find it humorous that people are complaining about doing 1 dungeon over and over... like, mate... if you don't want to do a dungeon over and over, DON'T. I've been doing exactly what Luxthos here is doing in the video and it's been a pretty good time. Like... prioritize fun, don't prioritize trying to the best you absolutely can be lmao

I’m lvl 50 and I still haven’t even completed the story, been having quite a lot of fun just doing side quests and renowned and other things in the game. They give lots of xp. If you do this approach like suggested in the video and speed through everything you will get bored quite fast, take your time and enjoy the game. This video is more for alts and not mains (first time players)
Using this to roll a second Necromancer to focus fully on Lucky Hit chance and critical strike chance/damage. Don't wanna fuck up my main and until they have some way I can save builds I'd rather have a completely separate character to work around plus I can hone my gear early on. Earned a sub from me🤙

I can't get one character to 100, let alone alts. I am burned out at about level 92, and that was after pushing myself to get to that point. Really hope their Nightmare Dungeon changes that will be coming eventually helps solo players.
Right but in my opinion if someone unlocks Tier 4 where they have access to practically the highest power of items, then lvl doesn't matter that much, it's more about lvl up glyphs get gear and finish highter lvl nightmare dungeons. lvl is a secondary power source on Tier 4 and he was the main power source on the previous ones.
@@kail_6019 I'd say being able to fill out your paragon boards is pretty important. I'm missing a whole board because I just got sick of trying to get to 100.
when doing legion events especially, invite random players to your group (they like to accept). it will give you a experience buff and it will help get that xp from splitting ways
I'd like to say that even 90-100 Whispers give a sizable amount of XP, I find you actually getting more from them than NM Dungeons, or at least it feels like it. I say this because by the time I finish a Whisper requirement i''ll get like 1/4 bar to a half depending on what dungeon i do to accelerate whisper(5 each) and NM depending on NPC amount and length of dungeon at best I get 1/4 of a bar, sometimes it doesn't even feel like that.
instead of tping to the main city then to the tree. just open map and press up on d pad to overworld map (not sure how to do it on keyboard and mouse tho) and go directly to the tree. saves a load screen lol.
I go into a zone and try to complete the side quests, altars, etc. I right packs, run cellars, and any tree quests before moving to the next one. I find the game more fun when I have a goal other than “hit 100”. Strongholds, legions, world bosses, hell rides to mix it up.
I genuinely hope the xp changes and fast traveling to nightmare dungeons really makes a huge difference because I’m a strong believer in saying that it needs to be fun and engaging but also not take forever because I’d like to try out all the other classes too I’m currently at level 87 on rogue and 30 ish on both a sorc and barb those 2 are only leveled because I’ve been trying to stay at the same pace as a friend but I’m nocturnal so I pass him up in levels and I’ve just basically been having him boost me while he gets closer to my main characters level.
Then the original visions of a “big map” is reduced to instant teleport, fast grind, no movement which get them back to D3 which will make it more “bored”, the problem here is the ppl that actually haven’t play this line of games, if you focus on the grind and forget those details they opened for us, like story, sub quests, events, then this is pretty much Diablo 3. They either forget the original vision, “streamers/hardcore new players” get used to or move on or focus on the fans that been with em since the 90’s +
i think the main thing missing from this is instead of doing a normal dungeon in the downtime, knock those strongholds out while you arent on the clock from tree of whisperd

One thing maybe you forgot to mention is how you know which key gives you monsters +3 levels. I only mention this as I've forgotten (is it add 54 to the key?) and gotta go google it XD
I'm currently 72 and spamming sigil lvl 25 dungeons.. and its so slow... Idk how people got 100.. .. some people have multiple? or am I crazy? I ran nighmare sigil 25 all night last night and only got 1 level from it.
The best way to get xp is specific regular dungeons that have a lot of elites right at the start. You run in kill them then leave then log out which will reset the dungeon
Been nightmare farming lv 79 rogue currently but its been boring lately. Whisper dungeons are more fun for me since i dont have to worry about revives or the shitty modifiers. I hate death pulse and lightning storm
Hi, nice Video, thanks for the content. I noticed that you have a "light radius" around your character. Your screen gets darker towards the edges. Yesterday my friend and i farmed some ores in helltides and we noticed, that for me, the whole screen is as bright as the area around the character and he hast the "light radius" effect, even though he has a higher brightness setting. We couldnt find any other setting concerning this or forum posts. Do you have any idea what could cause this massive difference in display? Its much easier for me to find herbs/orbs, because i basically see a lot farther.
Mine was like that. When I first started the game. I relied on just setting the in game brightness and I could hardly see the edges. If your tv has a gamma setting in picture settings, try adjusting that along with the in game brightness to find the sweet-spot.
I also knock out the close Whispers mini-qs on the way - the cellars and 1-pt bosses and the 3pt Rituals are all super easy and can do on way to other things. Also, I carry around the Caches from Tree rewards until in a city to open and sell/salvage. Seems faster and more efficient - my 2 coppers.

Yeah its not worth it in the slightest, enemies are twice as tough, but you are only getting a 20% XP bonus. So you are taking twice the amount of time to kill for only 1/5th additional xp. T2 is a noob trap.
the gathering of legions have been bugging out on me a few times it has happen to me when it was in a helltide evant the first servant of hell never spawnedmaybe its because we killed everything so fast cuz it has happend again out of helltides after we kill the adds fast the boss never spawned and the whole evant ended giving us nothing

World tier 2 has monsters with 200% more HP (Take twice as long to kill) but only yield a 20% (1/5) bonus XP. T2 is a noob trap, for people who suck at math, or are simply unobservant.
The problem is you level so fast that your gear gets outdated quick and you never can catch up on gear. Ends up with an underpowered character for most of the experience.
Yep. I farmed tree and got all the aspects I want on my gear, but don’t want to replace it because the aspects are so good. Level 54 with a pair of 16 pants because I don’t want to strip the aspect and not have it later

Are you allergic to plurals or something? Monster is not plural by nature, nor is dungeon, or any other terms you used as a plural but did not pluralize.

It's a shame, leveling faster on tier 1 overthrones gameplay difficulty... shows players want the easy route these days. Even if it's more efficient, tier 1 makes me feel like it's handicap mode.
Blasting thru tier 1 is just easier to get to tier 3. Tier 2 honestly isn’t worth the extra time it takes to kill enemies it’s not really “hard” so the added difficulty from 1 to 2 is subpar then just rushing to 3 to get ur adrenaline started

As I need help with my first main who just hit 50th level and is in world tier 1 and at chapter 5. Instead it turns out you are actually making this video for players who already finished the campaign and maxed leveled their main and are looking to level up their alts. Very frustrating. I need to know what I have to do to prepare for this capstone dungeon thing I keep hearing about and when I need to change to world tier 2 in order to finish the campaign.

To be fair, you'll have the group exp buff regardless of being in a party, you just need to be near other people and you always are in legion events.
@@O5gar read the proximity buff again, it says you gain 5% bonus xp with other players nearby and double that amount if youre grouped

You can also play the Church / Town keep and not finish it. It has a lot of Elites on a small map.

I did test it out, the first couple of levels goes really well, and then it falls off and become slow again.

Why didn’t you mention helltides? Is it because it’s not optimal for leveling? Seems super important to do them as often as possible.

nope. play what you want. when seasons come, it's a different new experience. I got to 79 on my Rouge and thought it was too easy. made a bard to 47 same. now I'm trying hardcore sorc only lv 30 but most fun I've had in days

English isn't my first language. French is, and in French we don't pronounce "S" for pluralized words. I keep having to remind myself of it and it's proving to be quite a challenge to get rid of this habit! But hopefully I'm improving every day!

Do World tier 1 people not attack the world boss? In tier 2-4 I've never fought one yet that didn't have at least 6+ people waiting for it to spawn.

English is not my first language, French is. In French we don't pronounce "S" at the end of pluralized words. I try my best to remember, but sometimes I make some mistakes and forget to pronounce them for certain words.

why world tier 1?
World tier 2 has monsters with 200% more HP (Take twice as long to kill) but only yield a 20% (1/5) bonus XP. T2 is a noob trap, for people who suck at math, or are simply unobservant.

The problem is you level so fast that your gear gets outdated quick and you never can catch up on gear. Ends up with an underpowered character for most of the experience.
Yep. I farmed tree and got all the aspects I want on my gear, but don’t want to replace it because the aspects are so good. Level 54 with a pair of 16 pants because I don’t want to strip the aspect and not have it later

Start with Events, close Dungeons in the first few areas.
The monsters are the same level as you guy, you got 1 shotted by a level 1 monster?

Monster is not plural by nature, nor is dungeon, or any other terms you used as a plural but did not pluralize.

It's a shame, leveling faster on tier 1 overthrones gameplay difficulty... shows players want the easy route these days. Even if it's more efficient, tier 1 makes me feel like it's handicap mode.
Blasting thru tier 1 is just easier to get to tier 3. Tier 2 honestly isn’t worth the extra time it takes to kill enemies it’s not really “hard” so the added difficulty from 1 to 2 is subpar then just rushing to 3 to get ur adrenaline started

Thanks but no thanks, I had hoped that you were doing a video for exactly what you titled this to be, how to level from 1 to 100. As I need help with my first main who just hit 50th level and is in world tier 1 and at chapter 5. Instead it turns out you are actually making this video for players who already finished the campaign and maxed leveled their main and are looking to level up their alts. Very frustrating. I need to know what I have to do to prepare for this capstone dungeon thing I keep hearing about and when I need to change to world tier 2 in order to finish the campaign.
I miss rifts already. Dungeons kind of suck 😢
