its good to have the charts available to be ready for taxi, most simmers don t use these I think. there is a payware app by DBS with taxiways appearing as a module and can be called up in the game, which is an add on
just found this: LittleNavMap is the freeware answer (Take a look here - airport diagram)), You can zoom up to the airport layout diagram. It offers a lot of other facilities...

the reason why your airport was messed up was because it is default you need to invest in some scenery or freeware scenery
Yeah I know, it's just outdated, I don't plan to buy add-on scenery for all 24,000 airports xD

Progressive taxi doesn't work for me...
Sometimes FSX can be a bit glitchy and if you move your camera certain angle, it disappears
