We're glad you love your loggers! You're right that the way it's stitched allows for them to be resoled and any cobbler should be able to help with that. Thanks for the glowing review!

Yeah I've the same similar issues with Georgia Boots. The best I've been able to get out of mine has been 1.5 yrs. They're really not so expensive that they're worth rebuilding but rather just buy new ones. It's their superb comfort and virtually no break-in period needed that makes them so attractive to me.

The fully gussetted tongue is why I want these. I'm surprised you didn't mention it.

The old pair looks better than the new one with the lighter leather tbh

Surely with regular oil and a resole when needed they'd be good as new

Little bit of advice, if you buy two pairs and wear them alternately, each pair will last 3 times as long as one individual pair worn every day and you won't need the boot dryer. Also, fricking feed the leather of your boots, mate!!!

PacoVL46 But if I buy a quality pair of boots they will last me three years wearing them every day so I think that’s good enough.

soter305 but, if you can afford to buy two pairs, you will save the money of one pair over the course of the lifespan of the two pairs. Also, it’s not good to wear the same pair of leather shoes/boots every day because they never get the chance to really dry out unless you use a boot dryer which is bad for the leather, too. Overall, it’s just better to get two pairs, less waste, longer lasting and cheaper in the long run.

how do they hold up compared to chippewa?

I use Sno-Seal on mine. I run it in with a heat gun until the leather is completely saturated - it takes about one can per boot but the leather lasts so much better. It keeps the toes from chipping where the steel toes are. Once saturated with the Sno-Seal they only need a light re-coat yearly.

You can treat the stitches and not the rest of the boot to keep the stitches from blowing out that easy.

If a boot can’t last you over a year without getting ripped up then technically there’s nothing special about it if I paid 300$ for a boot I would expect it to last me well over 11 months
