If you had really cool pair of old bowling shoes to be converted to street shoes, that would be cool. 😀 That's a totally random suggestion not-at-all based on the fact that you currently have my old bowling shoes in your shop.

As someone who takes a lot of pride in their own craft (electrician) it is so interesting to see how you guys take care of the boots that let me do my job properly. I've gone and watched every upload of the past two years, can't get enough of seeing the quality work. Whenever my boots need a resole, I know who I'm sending them to.

@@jerichofalls8236 Too funny! I lost mine in the wee hours with my college buddies on a bet at our favorite all-night truck stop. I won $100 from the pot (like $500 today), and then it never fully grew back. I married two years later, and what remained was in clumps on my pillow each morning until there wasn’t any more.🥴🤣😁

Dallin, check out Japanese shoemaker, Ken Hishinuma. He's a young bespoke shoemaker and has 2 channels called MORIZIN and CRAZY about SHOES. He does shoemaking videos from start to finish. They are in Japanese but they come out with English subtitles after a couple days. MORIZIN is more of a lifestyle channel, so he focuses shoemaking on CRAZY about SHOES. Both channels have great resources tho! Good luck on your journey.😁

I have this exact pair of boots. I actually picked them out myself from a catalog as a gift from my mother in law 20 years ago. They lasted forever, but I found out within about a month that my feet were not designed to wear loggers. My toes were numb for the three years that I wore them. I guess from the higher heel? I still have them, thinking about having a more traditional sole put on. They're still good boots. I hate to waste them!

I really liked the look of the natural stacked leather heel. It gives the boot imo a more rugged look. How were you able to flatten out the kilties on these boots ? I removed the ones I had on a pair of Red Wing boots because I didn't like the way they eventually curled up. BTW I'm always amazed at how well the Saphir conditioner works to restore dry tired old leather. Makes me think I should try their conditioner on my face. :-D Have a great weekend guys. : )

I think you mention it sometime, but it would be nice to a list of conditioners and polishes you guys use on the boots, for us that are not familiar with safires renovators it’s hard to tell what’s being used specifically because safires has so many different products
