I reckon, it's all round yours for breakfast then. So much more educational, repair rather than replace. Nice job...some might have by passed the thermal cut out, just to get some toast while waiting for parts...I wonder if, lol

At least while you await 3 phase power you have had a great success considering how generally impossible appliances are to repair. It must have felt very satisfying to get a £45 toaster for less than £20 including the spare part. Happy toasting!

Well done Samuel. When your time is your own and you have the skills and knowledge it proves that the uneconomic unrepairable is indeed repairable. Oh for the days when every town had an electrical repair shop.
I see that the next item on your repair list requires a needle and thread 🤣
Thank you for sharing your video. Most interesting.
Hope your three phase arrives soon. 👏👏👍😀 Andrew

Sitting in my basement for several years now is one of these toasters, which failed within a couple of years with identical symptoms to yours. So I shall dust it off and look at the thermal fuse. Many thanks. Note added later: just to confirm that the thermal fuse has blown on my appliance. Although the toaster is externally identical to the one in the video, the fuse is in a different location however and has a different rating to the one shown.

Well done! I was hoping it would be something simple like that. I like the inspection feature, that is something worth having. Years ago Sunbeam made a toaster called "Radiant control" that toasted based on the colour rather than the time. But I don't know why they were discontinued - probably because they were expensive. Anyhow, well done, thanks for sharing, this is the right way to go about things!

Excellent video. One question, do you know if the element can be replaced please? As I’ve read that the elements of the Dualit Lite range cannot be replaced. I have one of these toasters and I’m reluctant to jettison it into the bin. Thank you
