I’m all for it because black businesses owners like me would love the opportunity to open up shop there. The highway should had never been made to begin with because all it did was destroy all the black owned businesses there putting the people into farther poverty.
Hell yeah, we also need to advocate for the white business. Man I wish we could get some white clothing boutiques and white owned coffee shops. So glad we are fixing Detroit. The civil rights movement almost destroyed us. Much love sistah
Removing this freeway is not going to make up for the neighborhoods that were destroyed, and the businesses that were lost. It's not going to get back to how it should be.
Mixed use. Small Businesses at the base, and low income housing above it. Call it "Phoenix Ave." as it's a rebirth of what was black bottom. Also, have to HAVE TOO!!! add a part talking about the legacy of Black Bottom, is necessary. It would be a nice place, something that can support family gatherings and other events. Lots of entertainment, restaurants, and other retail like businesses that Detroiters of all colors will feel great to be a part of, would be the best end result. Racism destroyed Black Bottom. let's prove the Ghosts of our past will not determine our future.
Please, no affordable housing damn Detroit already has enough. Maybe retail chain grocery stores restaurants, entertainment, hub condos, basically a new tax base

Yea detroit is really hard up on buildable real-estate. Better take out the only road that doesn't need to be redone.

How about putting it back the way it was..

Make it mixed use. Allow busineses and retail to exist in the same spot.
So what's this mean? When 375 was built and they kicked everybody out, did the city pay the people even?
What wasteful project
