He was so solemn, watching you, rewinding the video, practicing the two chords. I came to sit next to him and he said, look, this is E minor and this is A... he totally got it! It was the cutest thing. Anyway, I think if an 8 year old can get it then you must be a really good teacher. Keep at it and God bless!

Hi Todd. I've been working on Bad Moon Rising by CCR and I've nearly got it down : D I'm sorry to hear about your hand. Did you get it checked? It sounds like something might be pinching your tendon or a nerve somewhere. Yeah I've just been checking out Andy's videos once in a while and practicing what I already know, and it's really helped me get better. Bad Moon Rising actually sounds like a song instead of some random chords thrown together in rythem lol
Feuer Frei by Rammstein doesn't seem like it would be to hard to play. It's repetition of one chord from what I hear. Du Hast is the same chord as well. Maybe the chorus of the songs are harder, but the rest of them not so much. West Virginia got hit with that storm, but not nearly as bad as farther up north. It's still snowing like a SOB right now haha.
Todd P. The riff to Slither is simple and fun! IDK if you know how to down tune a guitar, but for Slither, you gotta drop down to D which means tune your 6th string (E) down a whole step to where the 7th fret on the 6th string should match the open A string and the open 6th string should match the open D string.

53 yrs old & just had my 1st in person learning session for about 30 minutes & because of that, I came to the school of TH-cam for beginner guitar lessons. really good stuff Andy i'm now 70 yrs young, bought my first guitar LAG Tramontane on 26th March, i've been using your site since and I feel I'm not making a racket now, but now a noise which sounds ok, i'm still a long long way to go but i've learned 6 chords, i just need to get my movement between chords sorted, that will come with practice, thank you as your slowing down is a great help. fingers not hurting as much either lol
70 years young that’s a good hobby to have keep playing keep doing what you’re doing keep trying I was 24 almost 25 when I started playing I still play today I’m a solo instrumental finger style Guitarist and I love it I wish I would’ve started at 1415 like most young kids do but I had to wait a while my dad couldn’t afford it so I had to wait and go to work I’m retired now I’m at the ripe old age of 68 got a lot of experience under my belt but could always use a little more help that’s how hard it is to play these instruments but once was hard is now easy and the harder it gets the better I like it I wish you all the luck in the world keep playing It does your fingers well and your brain 🎸🎸👍🏼❤️😎

I’ve been playing guitar for over 25 years but I still clicked on this because I saw your other videos and you do a great job especially here explaining to people who are just starting out because that’s the toughest time there is as well as the most discouraging. Its great to give beginners even a little bit of hope to get through the struggle by providing them some easy chords to make it fun and keep them interested which will help them make it through the struggles in the beginning. And by the way nice John Lennon picture on the wall I love it.

A few things you need to know about Andy!If you're like me and a bit wary of buying on line then I can put your mind at rest. I sent Andy a long email asking him lots of questions and he replied in such a friendly way it was like I'd known him for years. A few years ago I had a bad stroke and I had a few issues I wanted to ask his advice on. Following Andy's reply today I have downloaded the beginners course and the EBook all without hitch. Before I choose Andy I went on a LOT of other sites and Andy is by far the friendliest guy out there. When I was at school over 50 years ago if I liked the teacher I did well at the subject, if I didn't I soon lost interest and didn't bother going in. It was very important for me to like the guy who hopefully is going to get me playing the guitar sometime in the foreseeable future.From now on its up to me to follow the teacher and to go in for every lesson this time! In a few weeks time I'll come back and let you know how its going......Finally....Thanks Andy!
Hi! This is the first stress free and fun tutorial I've found! I loved the simplicity of it so much and I'm very happy to say that because of your lesson, I've just memorized my first two guitar chords. I'm a total beginner so my aim is to memorize all the chords, barres and some beginners dexterity techniques & move on to learning to read tab in order to play new songs and write my own. You are so good at teaching! I have a degenerative condition and my hands no longer work like they used to do, and I'm so scared of losing all use of them. Been looking at your lessons and I have reserved a half size guitar, just a cheapy, at Argos and am going to scoot off down there in half an hour (Trying my new mobility scooter on a run for the first time too, EEEEEK! :D ) and get my guitar. You are so good at teaching! I have a degenerative condition and my hands no longer work like they used to do, and I'm so scared of losing all use of them. Been looking at your lessons and I have reserved a half size guitar, just a cheapy, at Argos and am going to scoot off down there in half an hour (Trying my new mobility scooter on a run for the first time too, EEEEEK! :D ) and get my guitar. What good excercise this will be for my tiring fingers! YAY! Will let you know if you want how I get on :)

Brilliant. been playing for a number of years self taught, and just got my daughter a guitar for her 8th birthday. i was not making much progress trying to teach her, then i showed her your channel. she is making better progress now, and i learnt some things too!!
