Bought a new one for about 12$ on Amazon. My son uses the watch now. Had no problems at all. Model hdd600.

I get my today. Grey with negativ display. I also have some G-Shock. But especially the green Rangeman with negative display is hard to read with my eyes. I think I will sell it. The 1500 is very nice for that less money.

An adventure watch with ABC functions stripped out. A poor man’s Protek if you like. At the price point, a legible dial with basic functions - nothing overly complicated for the average person. Affordable, simple and rugged - the ultimate beater watch.

I noticed they don't have Casio on the buckle,most Casios have this,why they didn't do that,who knows. I will replace the buckle with a metal one with Casio stamped on it,I think the metal buckle will compliment the push buttons of metal material. Thanks for the review. I really like the watch,it's great value for the money.

Same as you but I can pull off a big watch, providing the design makes the watch look proportional. A 48 mm watch can look smaller even on a thin wrist. My advice is try out the watch and see how it looks on you before you turn it down. My sweet spot is 40 mm but I can wear a 42 mm and the big dial will look good on me.
Perfect review ... I collect Casio digital watches and I needed to see a video with this watch before I decided to buy this watch.. After watching this video I have decided NOT to add this watch to my vast Casio digital watch collection... At 52mm in diameter, it is just a bit too large IMO. Thank you for this review.
Excellent review, I just bought one in FDE for €41. I own a G shock which I have had for around 10 years but I am always changing the battery, which is a real pain. I don't travel the world anymore so I don't really need all the features the G shock had, so this new watch will be perfect, rugged, low price, colour I was looking for and a 10 year battery life.
I have one. I would choose gshock over this even with changing batteries. It's prone to scratches. Gshock is really a next level watch compared with this.
I bought a watch that has a dark display. So far it works flawlessly and is great for everyday use. However, I think that digital watches with bright displays are much more practical in situations where the light is reduced because the content on the display is more visible, so you don't have to use the watch's light. No matter which variant you choose, you won't have a problem, because the price/quality ratio is, in my opinion, optimal.
@@onewheee I think you are mistaken about the night illumination of the watch. I bought it and returned it the same day, primarily because this lighting was completely primitive and unacceptably inadequate, and secondly, because the watch strap was stiff and rigid to the point that it was uncomfortable on the wrist. I believe both of these negative points should have been mentioned in a quality video. If you allow me, I suggest that your future videos stand out compared to those made by anyone inexperienced. Best regards...

Great review. I’ve just started swimming again as a part of a get fitter regime. Unfortunately, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be! I like to time my lengths to show progress, not bothered with a pricey smartwatch and dubious of the quality of Skmei or SME products, this watch answers all my needs. Gonna get one right now!

Yup. A simple watch holds a lot of appeal. Protek snobs are going to scoff at it but its very simplicity and low price point make it irresistible. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to get a rugged watch.
I would have liked 200 meters but I guess you can’t have everything here. That said, Casio could have done it by adding that level of water resistance and mineral glass for only $10 more like with the dw291h. A world timer module would have been welcome.

Excellent review, I just bought one in FDE for €41. I own a G shock which I have had for around 10 years but I am always changing the battery, which is a real pain. I don't travel the world anymore so I don't really need all the features the G shock had, so this new watch will be perfect, rugged, low price, colour I was looking for and a 10 year battery life.
