Nice review! Thx! I‘ve got some other display and like to pair sound via bluetooth. Unfortunately every time I get into my car and the iphone connects to the display, I need to change the audio to bluetooth again… Tried a shortcut for this, but it isn’t working. Any best practices on this?
Sounds like your iPhone is connecting to the car system before it can connect to CarPlay on the display. If there’s a way to delay the phone connection on the display they would be a way to fix that but I’ve not seen a display have such an option. It’s that or just how this other display works if it isn’t built right.
There isn’t a way because there’s no input connections other than power. If they supported wired CarPlay, wireless video casting, TF card slots or USB media, then it would have been possible.
Can you clarify something? I currently BT audio and phone to my car. With this device would that change how my calls are made (ie would the car’s mic still, work). I’m not sure if this device is just a way of navigating my phone or doing something more. I like the look of it.
Any connection to CarPlay or android auto will relay calls through that platform. Audio will come out of car speakers and input should come via the microphone in the car just like when you connect your phone to the car over BT because it does this connection after connecting to the display
@@CarPlayLifethat’s wonderful thank you. I’ve been quoted nearly £1k to replace my 2015 CX5 head unit (because of the parking sensor displays and system information on it). This looks like a good viable option.
Looks pretty similar to my Carpodgo T3 Pro. But this one has light sensor, additional power button on the back. Probably has better specs under the hood (CPU / RAM)
It’s near identical screen. The new version of T3 Pro has a light sensor now with older versions being labeled without the ‘Pro’ element. As far as I can see the newer pro model doesn’t have the power buttons still that’s on the back. CPU and RAM feels the same.
Our older model T3 initially used the same RAM, which was 256MB. Later, for a faster performance experience, the Pro version upgraded the CPU model, with RAM reduced to 128MB. Although the RAM seems smaller, the chip architecture difference made it smoother. We have no intention of debating this parameter with other products, as this product was designed two years ago. We have several new models of different sizes, all equipped with 512MB of RAM, set to launch this year.
@CarPlayLife look bro my screen is working perfectly but when I plugged android auto is working perfectly but it crashed like icon is bigger than normal and notifications is bigger than normal it's not my car fault because I tested on too many cars have same problem on android auto please help me bro
@@CarPlayLife it's on every car it's a same problem i wanna send you a picture maybe you can help me i test it on Toyota camry 2023 it's a same also nissan altima same nissan sunny all car have same problem i think it's on my phone can you help me to fix it bro
Sorry, I really can't help here. It sounds more like a setting on your phone. Like accessibility or in the phone Display Settings has icons set to large or something, and AAuto carries this over onto the display?
There were problems with it so I had to quickly pivot and cover the MINIX this week. I’m working with them to get to the bottom of some of the issues I found that’s also shared with some other 6225 adapters.
Why do you think this is the best display? The price is double the one of the Focuway Odvox which has very good built in loudspeakers ? I am extremely happy with the odvox.
It’s what you value out of a display. The Odvox is the best for internal speakers. No one else offers a display with focus on audio from the internal speaker. But if connecting to a car it becomes a much less important feature. Most car displays don’t come close to one with a laminated screen IMO. This one and its similar alternative nails it in this department. Matched with aesthetics in its simple, thin design, and its 60fps CarPlay mode is a joy to use. At its sale price it’s not double, its $60 and that makes it small outlay for what you get. Minus the speaker part, but most won’t buy a display for its internal speaker performance.
Thanks for delivering on your promise ;)
:) you’re welcome. It was good to try and compare this one out.
I have a 2003 honda civic, does it work on an old car?
As long as it has a 12v socket for power and an FM stereo for audio, it will work just fine with it.

I have this device and it's a great buy. Is there no back way to use youtube on it? I've been looking for ways to do that but to no avail
