I really like that they put that scene upside down, this way it appears he's ascending and not falling. It really fits into the theme of the movie about having great expectations about yourself and your future. That scene with Stan Lee is really one of my favorite parts of the movie.
As a Latina, those scenes with him interacting with his Hispanic mom hit so close to home. I was surprised to say the least, for one I didn't realize he was mixed so I was surprised as hell. 2 the swift transitions between English and Spanish when he spoke to his mom was so realistic to me speaking to my mom It made me so emotional. The way he interacted with his old friends, switching between languages was so amazing. Like I did not think I needed that representation until I saw the movie. His culture adds so much to his character but its presented in such subtle ways, its incredible.
Yes! A million times, my little brothers felt the same way; they didn't know they needed this representation but it hit them hard. It's indescribable, I took them today because I thought "they need to see this" because they've never seen anything like it. There hasn't been anything like this. Glad I got to be here for it.
Oh, I missed that 'cause the movie here, were I live, was only in Spanish. His mom had some accent though, but it felt like Caribbean, so I thought she was from Jamaica (???) I'd love to see this movie again in its original audio
The fact this movie even got made is absolutely insane. I was expecting a half decent flick. By the first couple of frames of the movie, boy was I wrong.
He does exist, we just can't see him. Because he is a concept, an ideal, something to achieve to be more like. Just because someone doesn't physically exist doesn't mean they can't exist at all.
I honestly think we're better off that way. Because the other universes only see the hero in the costume. But we understand the person behind the mask and that, I think, is the most integral part to what Spider-Man means.
Loverboy Media I think what mini hacks is trying to say is he’s surprised that you thought it was that good and he was also saying that cause in some countries you can’t watch it yet so we’ll have to wait and see if it’s as good as everyone is saying
I just saw it. It is great. I just want to spend all day watching people gush about the movie. I want to watch it again. If the movie started over again after the end credit scene, I would have stayed to watch it again.
“It always fits, eventually.” Those four words summarized the entire message of the film. This might have the best Stan Lee cameo ever. Such a beautiful film.
Ever since the days of Toby and Raimi, I wanted to be Spider-Man. Later I realized, I easily could be. I obviously couldn’t climb up walls or sense oncoming danger as accurately as Peter could, but I could endure. I could take a punch from life as easily as I could take a punch from the bad guys. That’s what I’ve always liked about Spidey (whoever he or she is), is that life will constantly kick them down and they’re back on their feet before you can say Excelsior. Why? Because great power must ALWAYS come with great responsibility, no exceptions. In the first Spider-Man movie, Green Goblin proclaimed that people love seeing heroes fall. If Spidey’s taught me anything, it’s that we love seeing how fast they get back up.
After seeing it for the third time, I have to say that this has become my favorite Spider-Man movie. My problems are still there, but I think the strengths greatly outweigh the weaknesses.
Into the Spider-Verse is one of the best *comic book* movies ever made. It takes the visual language of comic books and makes them come alive in a way that I've never seen. The leap of faith is a perfect example - look at the use of panels, the onomatopoeia, the "splash panel" of Miles rising up as he plunges down - you're inside a comic book watching this. Spider-Man: Homecoming is a completely different story. It's thoroughly cinematic - a John Hughes teen angst movie blended with superheroes, a classic Marvel format by now. Michael Keaton's take on the Vulture was one of the best villains in any Marvel movie. That being said, Into the Spider-Verse makes something glaringly apparent: stories about a young, inexperienced, teenage Spider-Man are fresher and more relevant with Miles inside the mask. You can't swap in Miles with Peter in Spider-Man Homecoming without losing some critical beats (specifically his relationship with Tony as a surrogate father), but there are other story beats that Miles could hit harder and with freshness that Peter doesn't create. It's going to be interesting to see what happens going forward, but I think that the net winners are going to be the audience.
I am so excited for this movie. Not really a miles morales fanboy but Spider-Man PS4 has kinda changed that. I cannot believe that it got 100% on rotten tomatoes 🍅

True, but it isn't projecting too much, which is why people gotta hype it up lol
I’m seeing it early on Saturday and I’m even more excited after watching this thank you
I've seen this movie 5 times and I still cry like a bitch when Uncle Aaron does his thing
This movie is the best thing a spidey fan could ever had, we don’t deserve this movie
You're like the only person on youtube whose youtube paid programming ad is good and worth watching
Thank you so much that means a lot! I always try to make them as entertaining as possible!

Can’t wait to see this, I’ve been a Spidey fan for as long as I can remember; it was the first pg13 film I ever saw when it debuted in 2002.
Brought to you by the studio that made the emoji movie
I think it was one of the best movies I’ve seen period. I was shook when it ended. I’ve never felt that way with a movie before
This was fantastic, my dude. Can’t wait to see it.
This was one of the best comic book movies out there. Some scenes really felt like they were ripped right out of the comics. I don't even know how they managed to do that.
You delivered your argument, tone perfectly. It is time to watch this movie!
I’m so happy that I didn’t see the trailer. Finding out about the multiple Spider-Mans blew my mind. This movie was my favorite movie of the year and possibly in my top three films
hell yeah!!!!! pumped to watch this movie!!!
The leap of faith genuinely gives me goosebumps every time
I just saw this at an advanced screening like 5hrs ago and I cried 4 FUCKING times ITS BRILLIANT
I don’t watch all of your videos, but when the topics interest me you freakin knock it out of the park
Homecoming: I’m the best Spider-Man movie.
Into the spider verse: I’m going to end this mans whole career.

Jep, spider-man 2 is a good movie but with a lot of small nitpicks that eventually really start to add up and make it from a 9 to a 7
Wietze Meijer more like a 10
Dont even make this comparison. The mcu made spdierman into iron-man jr.
Big zu
That is one of the most stupid statements I have ever heard
Wietze Meijer it’s actually quite accurate
I'm seeing this in a couple weeks (specifically the 22nd) and now I'm even more hyped holy shit
"What makes you relatable, is what makes you Spiderman"
I live in a bilingual community and one of my buddies grew up in the Bronx as dominican. So much of Miles' homelife and interacting with his friends is exactly what being surrounded by multiple languages is like!!!
I love the comics Sp//dr much more than the film version. The single comic is so badass!
Ew

I wanna see a Miles/ SpiderWoman and Miles/ Peter team up movies soooo bad!
this is my favorite video essay ever, hands down
Bit of an overstatement in my experience to say the best one, but I agree with most of the points. Good job!
I just started reading Miles Morales Spider Man a couple of days ago
You deserve a million subscribers right now! Every single video essay of yours is so well put together and written, I can't get enough of it.. Cheers
Tear to my eye... Anyone can be Spider-Man
7:40-8:15 That outro is pure genius, especially with all the Spiders shown at the end
Thank you, Browntable. Very cool
I was sceptical, so thank you for showing us this
Stan Lee would be proud also, did Sony just make a good Spider-Man movie? Last time that happened it was Spider-Man 2.
This video gave me chills, can’t wait till I see the movie tomorrow!
I was never going to miss it but this review got me bouncing in my seat with hype.
This made me cry bro, and the movie was literally too good. My mouth was open in AWE. It was not a movie. It was an experience.
Can't praise this movie enough, truly amazing 😭👏 P.S: thanks for adding the James Horner and Hans Zimmer score, brought me to tears!! Great video!
Really great review. You've basically hit every point home that I was feeling as I watched this film. As a lifelong Spider-Man fan, this film made me so happy.
Really excited for this movie
This is one of my favourite videos from you
I truly hope Stan Lee got to witness the best version of a movie about his favorite hero before he passed...
R.I.P to the one, the only, the legendary Stan Lee
You will always be missed
was gonna hit the gym but then I saw this. Better cry first
Lol priorities, thank u sm!
I saw the movie yesterday and to be honest before then I was never really a Miles fan. But after getting out of the theater I went to the concessions line, grabbed the first miles funko pop I could find and bought it right then and there, this movie made me love Miles' character so much! The writing was amazing, the animation was spectacular, and, as you said in your video, it taught it's viewers the ultimate lesson, that ANYONE can be Spiderman.
Easily the best animated movie of the year, and 2nd in my top 3 (first being Infinity War..duh) movies of 2018
Thanks for giving an awesome and well thought out review!!
