@@petems3283 It was well known many years before the Get back documentary was released. I actually havent watched Get back yet, just seen clips here at TH-cam so i dont know all of the things that are in the documantary, but i have been a huge Beatles fan since the 70´s (i was born in the 70´s). Playing the anvil is very cool anyway :-)
I concur, Trever's voice is great. The addition of the mandolin is stellar. You guys are just full of surprises and keep getting better and better. Thanks to all!!
I have always thought "Why on earth do people do Beatles covers, noone can improve on the Beatles versions, You guys have proved me wrong. This is absolute perfection. I am really impressed. This is brilliant in every way. Alex bass playing was fantastic. Toni is one of the most amazing guitar players I have ever seen. I am jealous of her skill. Trevor conveyed such a happy joyful spirit and his voice and playing was magnificent. And obviously the queens voice and playing was also outstanding.
Of course no one can improve Beatles versions. But I love to see these fresh covers, youtube is full of them, and the real good ones make me smile and think: how fucking good they were!!!!! And one never is amazed enough of how good they were

Always a (gruesome) Beatle favorite... and now a Reina del Cid and crew (gruesome) favorite! Happy to see Reina able to do her thing for us again! We never know who will be in the "crew" - this is a good bunch! Bravo!
Just bloody marvellous. That was always a weird little tune from The Beatles. Harmonies perfect, solos perfect, four strings perfect, what more can be said? Thanks Reina. Didn't know you were sick, awfully glad it wasn't lethal and that you are recovered now. Cheers.
Music has a rich history. So nice to see you delving into the catalog of hits. You get pleasure from performing and we get the pleasure of listening and watching you perform. Thank you
This song production was such a labor of love for Paul McCartney and an absolute grind on the rest of the Beatles. Your cover is effortless and beautiful. We all enjoyed it and we feel you were enjoying playing it for us.
Great job all around; luv it all, and esp the bass. lol, "Rose and Valerie, screaming from the gallery" one of the best rhyming couplets in all of pop. (Thx, Paul!)
Will is correct - very little exposure in the UK to this song. It’s often considered a “mistake” by the Beatles and was apparently loathed by John Lennon and George Harrison. However a fantastic version by you guys - keep up the good work.
@@dlbstl It was recorded right at the end of the Beatles career and was viewed as McCartney being far too sentimental and old school. This is a passage from Ian McDonalds comment on the song in his excellent book “Revolution in the Head” - “If any single recording shows why the Beatles broke up, it is MSH. McCartney could when unrestrained by Lennons cynicism, fatally neglect meaning and expression. This ghastly miscalculation represents by far his worst lapse of taste under the auspices of the Beatles” I don’t think there’s any coming back from that!!
Sehr schön. Freue mich immer sehr, wenn junge Leute Songs von meiner Favorite Band Beatles singen und spielen. Thanks for this Video, from Germany Ellen 🥰
Very enjoyable. I like the fellas. Mandolin player was fun. I was watching him have a great time. Loved it. Sounded good too. Bass player looked happy to nail it. I'm sure it wasn't that easy. Great take. And as always, Reina and Tony with the music and the talent.
Luv ya music Reina, but even more I luv how you are fostering community & trust, not to be underestimated in a world experiencing unprecedented change on a human level.
Tony has a charming brother, I didn't know that. This version of one of my (many) old Beatles favourits is just superb. A great, great joy to listen to. Thankyou all four of You!!!
Just bloody fantastic! A great way for CIDIZENs around the world to start off 2022 . Kudos from the Flatiron neighborhood in Manhattan in nyc. Keep those hits coming! 😊🎼🎵🎵🎶🎸🎙❤
You are a super duper lucky aunt. Not sure the sibling who is the parent of these two, but I suspect they must be very musical. These “kids” are great.
I'd totally forgotten this song. It took the Beatles three days to record their version. I'd love to know how much time was spent for these fantastic musicians getting it right! Just PERFECT!!
This was always a crazy little weird song from the Beatles that only us crazy weird people everywhere could relate to. Excellent choice and you nailed it in your own crazy weird way. Bravo!
An excellent arrangement. The Lindgrens are amazingly talented! Of course a hammer murderer song would appeal to Reina's dark (and fun) side.... So glad to hear Reina is well now! Yippee!!!
As usual a stellar performance! Beautiful mix of voices and instruments, Trevor needs more airtime (just sayin). This song jogged in my memory how MANY of the songs by the Beatles (and other groups in that time frame) were rather "dark" when you actually listened to the lyrics and got beyond the upbeat melody.
I'm an old guy that really enjoys almost everything all your whole group does. Josh & Carson etc.. It always looks like you are all having so much fun, I couldn't be more envious! I just never had the talent. , Anybody notice Trevor has a little jack Black thing going on there?
Video caught me by surprise,I must say,it took the Beatles one month to finally get all parts in attractions, meaning that this group nailed it congratulations 👏
I love this song and it’s awesome to see it covered so brilliantly! I’m so hesitant to say, because you’re all totally streets ahead of me on talent, but Reina you could do with a louder mic, (which I’ve thought on many of your tracks). Your voice is lovely and deserves to be heard a bit louder! I’m really looking forward to seeing you in Dublin with The Other Favourites 😍 you guys are awesome 👏
That was great I always liked that song and as always you and your associates did fantastic. I did notice that Trevor seemed to enjoy it maybe a little too much. Also thank you for providing captions. It really helps people like me who are hearing impaired understand the lyrics.
Yay, one of my favourite Beatles songs! I think Alex got the best deal there, it's such a cool bass line. 😀 Good to read you're feeling better and have kicked the evil covid. 👍
LOL. Reina has turned to covering other people's murder songs. Hmm what could be next? Maybe Gillian Welch's Caleb Meyer or Tommy Makem and the Clancy's William Bloat? Just saying, keep those in mind. :)) This was a fun and really well- done version. Great to hear from you guys. Stay safe and well.
Welcome back Reina 🙏 This is a great line up and loved your Max's Hammer version. I'm 77 and pensioner so unfortunately unable to be a Patreon - my apologies. (I'm not asking) but would like to mention two Beatles' masterpieces always ignored/forgotten are 'Rain' and 'Old Brown Shoe'. Have booked for your appearance in Leeds 29 Sept.🌞
This song was scrumptiously freaky enough for youse guys to do. This reminds me of your work on songs like Shot'em Dead and Bernadette. Great work on instrumentals and vocals as usual. East Coast any time soon? Have fun.
The only thing that could make this better is Mal Evans hitting an anvil
Think we’ve identified a gap in the market for musicians: portable musical anvils
If you know you know...

you better GET that original key!! yes!!
You and reina and co should record a cover of abbey road! At least the B side.
Thanks Reina, lovely rendition of a fun Beatles song. Trevors voice was a great addition, would be great to hear more of him!
