I can picture the land owners kids calling in the crushers and 40 yard cans to clean that mess up. Thanks for sharing. It's fun to crude those old hunny holes.
You can say that they are saving them by not crushing them, but they are being destroyed by letting them sit where they are as they are rotting away. In ten to twenty more years there won't be anything left of them anyway.
The grass is killing all those nice cars . Grass is very high acid and holds moisture . In time they will rust away to nothing . Great Video thanks for the memories .
i would LOVE to just stroll through these old iron yards out in the sticks but they are very rare here in the rustbelt, plus many owners are pissed because scroungers come theiving..
Looks like most of it is junk. Maybe a few quarter panels or fenders could be used for patch panels but otherwise it isn't worth much due to rotting away in the dirt. Sad to see that.
Spotted two Clamshell wagons in this video, I think one's a Pontiac which is the one shown first. Hey, can you tell me if the location's within 5,000 miles of Pennsylvania? :p
Let me tell you something... All the guys that I know of the plate sports when I was in high school. Most of them or alcoholics or smoke dope. I never did much either past the age of 18. Cuz I want to keep my head clear to learn how to go faster down the track. Not only that cars will make you work hard. Cuz they ain't cheap!
Kinda bitter sweet when you think about how every one of these rust buckets left and forgotten was once brand shiny new and someones pride and joy driving it off the lot! Makes one wonder about the people that once owned them and all the activities that they was a part of such as high school prom dates! Dates to the drive in! The car a young couple drove on there honeymoon after getting married! Babies being brought home from the hospital! What summer family vacations they was taken on and kids hollering from the back seat are we there yet are we there yet?? So sad how time takes everything away....
That's what I think about everytime I wander a salvage yard. Sometimes when I'm in a yard and find a high vantage point to take in a view of all the vehicles, I think to myself about all the memories people once had in those vehicles. I also picture them all shiny, new and full of proud owners and families enjoying their rides in their glory days.
I apologize, I assumed to quickly with this junkyard owner but in my defense anytime I find a place like this the owner refuses to sell or wants ridiculous prices and just lets them rot... it really gets me going because this just makes the price of the cars that are for sale go up that much higher since they then become harder to get.. anyway sorry, nice vid.
I wouldnt say he his hoarding with no intention of doing anything, parts as well as whole cars are for sale when i asked, the owner is super nice, im not gonna go blowin up mustie1's spot and give up the location, place is just sort of a well kept secret
I'm a Psychologist (sort it) and my thought is that the people behind those junkk yards are the saddest one, people that probably when they were kids they don't even have a christmas cause they were very poor, i've been that road but life is no static you get older and get chances, life is no what are you living now only. I love vintage cars (and clothing) but i rather share it that see it dying in my backyard.
Man I'd love to check that place out. get some awesome photos and just explore through history There isn't a decent junkyard within 100 miles of Chicago I bet...
Junk is right ! - You should see the ones here in Arkansas ! **) IT would blow your mind ! - My friends uncle has fields of old trucks and cars, with the original paint and most of them run !
Here in The Netherlands all those old junkyards are gone , new laws , still its a shame , I love these old cars in the woods when I'm abroad in France or Belgium or Great Britain.
Time to start a major rescue, break these cars down for the good parts ( even if it's only one) and recycle them back onto the road. They don't need to be show cars just reliable everyday drivers in patina. Well, that could put a lot of people into decent paying jobs again.
I dont think i would bother you walked right by 65 chevel- 68 or 69 mopar 2 door looked roadrunner a nova 70 i think you walk right by the good ones and show the crap so far gone you could not do any thing with if you had a millon buck and most stuff not all but most stuff so far gone you not tell what it is
Just asking why show this? Anyone knows there's old car yards out there, but its a tease if you can't say the location, if people are interested! I got you but don't make sense.
There is an old pull your own parts Junk Yard by us.....the only way you could do your own is wait for cold weather. The wasps wont attack you....because one year me and a friend were surrounded and had to run out of there like a scared deer.!
help all of us save those cars and history from rotting away or withering away take pictures put them on eBay make your own website take pictures of shit and do beds make money and save history thank you
Some people will not tell because they would be considered a rat. Others won't tell because they are greedy little maggots. This guy is definitely the latter.
Why show use if you can't tell use wer it is don't what h it he what's to keep it for himself he will not buy a car what kind of car do you have from this land
their was a place north of bangor south of lincon like this but much much older stuff from the 20s 30s and 40s i got a model A wishbone off the guy back in 06 for $20 . the old guy that owned it was great walked us around the hole place it was big cars trucks you name it he had it . no secret the main road went right threw the yard
I hear ya! about not giving the location away.. 5 miles from me is a private abandoned junk yard with vehicles ( and a studebaker BUS) from the 30s-70s.. I dont want people ruining that either ( might video it someday)
P.S. TO PREVIOUS STATEMENT.After watching the rest of this, windows down broken windows, sunken to the floors rusted floors, rusted frames,THIS IS A RUST YARD.NOT A JUNK YARD.And by looking at some of those trees,it is more like 20-25 years is more like it.We have these kind of yards in Canada and when i go there they say(YOU KNOW WHAT THESE ARE GOING FOR AT BARRETT JACKSON?) WELL I WOULD RATHER BUY AT BARRETT JACKSON THAN WASTE MY TIME FIXING THAT CRAP.IM SORRY BUT WHAT IM SEEING HURTS MY EYES AL

i would LOVE to just stroll through these old iron yards out in the sticks but they are very rare here in the rustbelt, plus many owners are pissed because scroungers come theiving..

its like fishing , gotta keep your spot secret,,
this prat of the country is not so bad but the cities have forced a clean up too
Oh, I want that Ford Ranch Wagon at 0:26 ;) Also, that looks like the East Coast, I say Upstate NY.
Looks like most of it is junk. Maybe a few quarter panels or fenders could be used for patch panels but otherwise it isn't worth much due to rotting away in the dirt. Sad to see that.

Hey, can you tell me if the location's within 5,000 miles of Pennsylvania? :p
i like the chevy truck
You are right its a JUNK yard
My friends think I'm a loser because I like cars instead of sports
Nasty Fox Savage me too well just say maybe your jealous of how much knowledge I have u loser that's what I said and they tried making a comeback lol
Liam McLoud I agree cars are better than sports because whats so entertaining about watching grown men grab ass each other right?
youll gain valuable knowledge working on cars, i didnt play sports either, but i can fix about anything.
I'm the same way.
I've always loved cars.

Portland...that's in Oregon, no? ;->
That caddilac 😭
You're stupid cuz there's other places you need old cars Parts at
If you ever find an ltd 2 passenger parking lens let me know. Can't find one for the life of me and I'm trying to get my 78 ranchero on the road.

Still dream about it actually.🤔
Do any of the engines work especially the vw beetles
Christine is not 57, but an 58er

What a waste.
Only if the cars could talk and share their stories.
David skaufel
too bad there all so far gone,
1973 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Wagon
Just think for every car there someone went shopping for a new car ,and each one of those were driven home with a proud owner.
Why not sell parts or even whole cars to someone that will save them from turning into total rust?
wait until the price of metal goes back up, CRUSH !! $$$$$$
Why do they allow them to sink into the dirt?
i love it. reminds me of a place i went to in new hampshire as a kid on a similar tour. we weren't looking for anything in particular, just nostalgia
thanks fun place to explore
everyone at my school hates on me and my friends cause we r always driving our old cars to school and working on them in the parking lot
+Tristan Baker thats there problem, its your life to live how you see fit to do so,,
mustie1 yeh I know, I just wish old cars had it better
+Tristan Baker Huh, They''re just jealous.
+mustie1 Hey, WELL SAID !!!
MungoidHen yeah with their honda civics
yeah its not like there restorible, but glad there still there
It looks like back yard but with more trees and station wagons and less muscle cars.
I apologize, I assumed to quickly with this junkyard owner but in my defense anytime I find a place like this the owner refuses to sell or wants ridiculous prices and just lets them rot... it really gets me going because this just makes the price of the cars that are for sale go up that much higher since they then become harder to get.. anyway sorry, nice vid.

o yeah ur 57 fury in Christine actually 58 fury my grandpa has one he had since came from factory
I'm a Psychologist (sort it) and my thought is that the people behind those junkk yards are the saddest one, people that probably when they were kids they don't even have a christmas cause they were very poor, i've been that road but life is no static you get older and get chances, life is no what are you living now only. You are in Oxford Maine right😉
FYI , Christine was a 58 plymoth fury.
Man I'd love to check that place out. get some awesome photos and just explore through history

Junk is right ! - You should see the ones here in Arkansas ! **) IT would blow your mind ! - My friends uncle has fields of old trucks and cars, with the original paint and most of them run !
you should have seen the chicken farm that turned into a vw salvage yard, ALL INSIDE
no, there down for the count,
That's a cool place but I have to admit its a bit too late to restore them cars
what a life they lived, it would be cool to reunite a family member with there old car,
bet ya want to go back,,
I was kinda thinking the same thing, thec history behind each one since new to now,
Here in The Netherlands all those old junkyards are gone , new laws , still its a shame , I love these old cars in the woods when I'm abroad in France or Belgium or Great Britain.
Time to start a major rescue, break these cars down for the good parts ( even if it's only one) and recycle them back onto the road. They don't need to be show cars just reliable everyday drivers in patina. Well, that could put a lot of people into decent paying jobs again.
that's an awesome 1960 cad coupe does not belong in that junk yard
Or Maine... ;^)
I dont think i would bother you walked right by 65 chevel- 68 or 69 mopar 2 door looked roadrunner a nova 70 i think you walk right by the good ones and show the crap so far gone you could not do any thing with if you had a millon buck and most stuff not all but most stuff so far gone you not tell what it is
All the cars everyone drove in high school in 1978. Didn’t see my car, which was a 68 Dodge Monaco sans Vanishing Point.
Just asking why show this? Anyone knows there's old car yards out there, but its a tease if you can't say the location, if people are interested! I got you but don't make sense.
you'd need a helicopter to airlift those out...and there would be a debris field from point A to point B
There is an old pull your own parts Junk Yard by us.....the only way you could do your own is wait for cold weather. The wasps wont attack you....because one year me and a friend were surrounded and had to run out of there like a scared deer.!
help all of us save those cars and history from rotting away or withering away take pictures put them on eBay make your own website take pictures of shit and do beds make money and save history thank you
Ayotte’s Used Auto Parts in Oxford Maine. Much more overgrown but most of this stuff is still there!
The people who had those cars probaly real old now or died, but their car still living in the junk yard.
Some people will not tell because they would be considered a rat. Others won't tell because they are greedy little maggots. This guy is definitely the latter.
lol Christine was a '58 Fury not a '57
Woe , that ages things a tad.. There i was thinking eveyone knows what or who Christine is lol !!! Shout out to Steven King..
Whats good about the yard other than bumpers and door handles ,everything is rusted ,even the Datsun was useless and the cadi had nothing left to save
Why show use if you can't tell use wer it is don't what h it he what's to keep it for himself he will not buy a car what kind of car do you have from this land
I know where this place is
Try looking for a 56 Crown Victoria with a 312 engine. Or a 56 Ford 2 door station wagon.
Hey where's this place at what's the location?
He won't tell would rather let them go to waste instead of letting others enjoy them.
right ,, no pressure in those systems
Dont no if this comment is already been answered. But anyone no the year of the 2 dr caddy at the 2:00 mark?
If u can't tell y look people that put old cars like that in there and not restore them is dumb they don't deserve to rot
their was a place north of bangor south of lincon like this but much much older stuff from the 20s 30s and 40s i got a model A wishbone off the guy back in 06 for $20 . the old guy that owned it was great walked us around the hole place it was big cars trucks you name it he had it . no secret the main road went right threw the yard

I turned it off as soon as you said "57 Fury" about Christine. NOT.
its a walk back in memory lane for sure
This really looks like a place near me, a lot of the same cars too.......
And at 2:34 it's a 58 fury.
Didn't believe in keepin' them up off the ground, did he...
guys version of window shopping
keeps them from trying to run away,
I hear ya! about not giving the location away.. 5 miles from me is a private abandoned junk yard with vehicles ( and a studebaker BUS) from the 30s-70s.. I dont want people ruining that either ( might video it someday)
I will put a tracker on ya
I was thinking, how many cars were there? Is there a metal recycling center near by?
i know exactly where this is was just there today although hard to see stuff in the snow
