- 2013-06-03 : Tour of the Maddox Classic Car Salvage Yard in Commerce City, Colorado. Part 1 of 2. Telephone Wayne Maddox for parts enquiries : 303-288-2682. READ : At 04:45, I wrongly implied that the Mercury Comet was rare and factory; it's rare and custom. At 09:26, I misidentified an Imperial as a 1965; it's a 1966 (the 1965 has a large cross through the grille).
I love cars like these... they're just beautiful. Great video!
Dude.....he completely blew by this. At the 3:42 mark, apparently someone converted a white 1966 Dodge Charger into an RV.....???? I have a '66 Charger, and this jumped right out at me. I can't imagine who would have consider a Charger a good foundation for an RV......It takes all kinds!!!......
Nice, thanks!
02:31 whats the brown car in the middle with the split grille?
Lots of nice old Chryslers. Love the red t bird drop top too.
Ha!
At Norwalk CT LaJoies the "oldest" car in their yard is a 1996 LUMINA or 2000 CAMRY! blechh!! Maddox' place rocks!
how much for the white monty
What was that car in the back by the blue thunderbird it had a front end like a 67 charger but there was something built on to it or something I was just wondering what it was
Maybe the coronet
cousaler
I couldn't believe they walked right past the Charger/Camper. That deserves a video of it's own.
I wanted to see that So bad.
my friend has a 68 chrysler Newport factory big block car. in Hope In
I like how he just completely ignored the fact there was a '66 or 7 Dodge Charger MOTORHOME sitting there!! WTF???
omg, some one turned a charger ino a kamper/mobile home? wtf :-( ... wow
NO Mention of the Dodge Coronet camper conversion @ 3:48 ?!?!?
I once knew of a yard here in Ontario Canada that had tons of old cars and parts but they closed up and sent everything to the crusher it really sucked when I found that out
Nice walk through, thank you. Would love to see a video featuring the '66/'67 Charger-camper shown at 3:48.
MET-TECH LLC where are you originally from.
+DarkVoidDan I'm guessing the UK, probably.
Well done video. You seem to know the Chryslers. My dad had a '66 New Yorker for a time. Wouldn't go in snow, so he got a 1960 VW Beetle. That car went in everything.
Shame these vehicles and parts are all sitting outside, subjected to the weather.
Wow it's so amazing for me to see this beautiful US Classic Cars! THANK YoU VERY MUCH for this Video!
I'm a big fan of salvage yards like this in the Video! I know it's a ~6 years old Video but is this yard still alive??? It looks like the owner of the yard is specialized for Mopars????
Look, i'm from south germany, Bavaria. There are no old or vintage cars lost in places like this, because there the "Recycling Mafia" is in ordernof government to crush all old cars or places Like Junk Yards many years ago. That's a shame, a crime i think :(
Because only in places like salvage yards you could become some different parts for a restoration or to repair your Classic Car, -or new generations of car guys become a feeling, a love for vintage cars in places like this in the Video! When i was a little Guy my father took me to the last places with old cars & i loved it! Today i restoring Classic Cars...
Still in the moment i'm restoring a 67 Chevy Caprice/Impala 4 Door Hardtop -with a looot of sheet metal work... (In real "cuban Style" ;) =with Hammer and the own hands we're rebuilded all 4 wheel arches/fenders, the lower windshield frame,....... A Lot of Work but to save a classic it's not even a easy job, but so importand i think!!!)
Before I found this chevy after a long search in Internet, i was looking for a 72-76 Dodge Coronet 4 Door Sedan -yes i love especially the old 4 Doors, especially Hardtop's if a Car was made as a 4 Door Hardtop....i know most people are looking for 2 Doors, but I think restoring and rescue 4 Doors is also even very importand...
I'm not specialized for GM, Mopars or Fords because I think every of this makers had so great cars. (Mopar still have!)
My favorite years are 50-70s...
I don't know but is this yard selling a 4 Door, at best a late 60s till 70s what i could buy???
Like a 76 Ford Grand Torino, or a 70 Caprice/Impala??? I have lost the hope to find a 72-76 Dodge Coronet (or same from Plymouth) 4 Door Sedan or something else like that....
I hope to hear from you and see more Videos of salvage yards ;)
I wish i live at USA, you could find me alldays on yards like this! :)
Best regards from Bavaria, Germany & me,
Till
The car I'm talking about is at 3:41 It's white and has a 67 Charger front end
Oh I see that was kind of weird when I saw that but that's cool
Im not in an english
but I wont to say
Very beauteful
Classic cars
Thank you
💐
in the future, id like to go to the states and do exactly what your doing, best cars in the world, america had the best engineers & designers back in the day, quality.
STILL DO! I am an American ! I buy and drive American cars and trucks! NO RICE!!
@6:00 the car is a 1970 Newport. The Cordoba didnt come out until 1975 on the Coronet/Fury chassis.
+MET-TECH LLC Where are you from dude.
+MET-TECH LLC i got it. i looked it up and you re right. the Cordoba was a trim level on the 70 Newport available in one color with a custom print interior.
You should have shown more of that Buick wagon at 3:29 I think that's a 62
That Red 98 would look beautiful all restored.
Excellent narration of a truly wonderful collection of original classics. I thoroughly enjoyed your video.
Lot of old Mopars!
That place is a freekin gold mine !!
We can't save all of these cars but we can try ;-) greetings from germany
Nice Video, i would have liked to have seen all four sides of that Olds 98 and a view of the interior. Do you know how much they want for it?
Looking for a rear windshield for a 1968 Chrysler Imperial
Once again , shitty camera work, moves to fast to see a lot of the cars !
I want that old Dodge truck at 8:21 and its not that rusty.
i so hope most of them were saved, but i somehow boubt it
Nice work getting the word out about these cars. Easy to tell you are partial to Chryslers.
Hi Stark. Hope you are well = )
Is eny of those cars up for sale? as a Scandinavian asking.
That seems to be the place where Chrysler Imperials go to die...
Anything for sale I'm a sucker for forward look mopars of the late 50s and early 60s
I know _exactly_ what you mean. I have a 58 300D, and 60 NY.
58 fury is the best
thanks man i will visit you sooner or later i wish ...my daddy loves these cars to death
He reads whatever he has pretty well, another "somebody" who knows their cars! btw, that was a 69 NEWPORT, not a Cordoba
@@HemiChrysler sure sounded it, you were reading off of some sort of sheet sounded rehearsed for the next vid ( if there is one) I suggest you do some research as to what is what oh, yes, the 62 Country Squire? the Ford emblem was staring you right in the face , and when you came across a car you didn't know, pretty obvious you were reading it off of the car
Cars in that lot are in great shape,,at the begining of the video, you showed a '66-67 Chrysler newport station wagon, love that,,,and you said a 1970 Chrysler Cordoba?,it looks like a Plymouth Fury II,and also saw a orange Dodge Mirada Chrysler Cordoba,,next to the '58 Chrysler
Fun tour, thanks! I'll have to find one of these here in south central Florida. Makes me wonder where my old cars ended up!
Flemmings Auto in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ is my favorite old old rambling yard with all kinds of stuff. Every year they do The Pumpkin Run Show. I'll have to find one like it here in South Central Florida.
I made a few slide shows of one of the Pumpkin Run Shows. FUN stuff! Enjoy...
Flemings 2009 Pumpkin Run Car Show - The COOLEST Car Show - Pt 1 of 3
I'll have a lot more in the coming months. I took LOTS of pics at the shows.
Do you know if any of them run and are between 500-2500? I'm 16 and love muscle cars but I'm having trouble finding one.
Wow. Did not know my dad had a TH-cam channel. Hi Stark its Arwen
Hi Arwen, how are you ?
Send a comment to me on another video so I'm sure it's you. I would love to have some communication with you.
If you don't want to call me _Dad_ , then call me _Stark_ , but not _R_ ... Thank you 😊
You totally ignored the 70-72 monte
That gold car was a new Yorker not cordova
I used to have a '62 Chrysler Newport. But I've never been accused of being prosperous!
The Oldsmobile Toronado at 10:29 is a 1970 model because it was the only year of the body style without the hidden headlights
im looking for 63 ford falcon futura parts or whole car, can u help with that...thanks
