You might say you wouldn't remember 20 years later, but he was repeatedly asked about it as a young boy and showed pictures, and asked questions close to the time. These prods are likely to have lingered in his long term memory, aren't they?

Right, it wasn't a bowl of pineapple (with milk) on any ordinary day, it was the eve of his sister's murder so I do believe that would be something that's in the forefront of ones memory..... life changing and traumatic.

@TCRS IMHO, there is a vast difference between remembering and not wanting to remember. Perhaps he was told not to remember when asked? He was a squirrelly one when asked questions coming from the detective. Do you know if the detective was qualified to work with children? If Burke is on the spectrum, it could have made a difference in his answers. Nick, it is almost 1:AM in the states. Your brilliant presentations always bamboozle my mind. Thanks for another impeccable video and thank you for all your hard work.👏🥛🥣👍

@@lired70 I'm pretty sure Burke is on the spectrum, the way he climbs all over the chair says that much. This was the mid 90's and there was very little awareness of ADHD/Autism back then. And what little awareness that did exist came with alot of denial among parents who didn't want to believe their child had psychological or behavioral issues. Mostly due to the stigmas that existed at that time. Ramsey parents were baby boomers who were very invested in "keeping up appearances" as they seem exactly like the type of parents who would deny such things. Their desire to appear normal would likely have taken precedence over Burke's mental health needs.

Burke squirms , tucks himself in, and was very hesitant at the sight of that pineapple in the picture presented to him by the therapist. He identified the glass with the tea bag but went around the pineapple. Something about that pineapple made him uncomfortable.

So let’s replay this Nick. The intruder breaks into the already broken window from months ago without disturbing the cobwebs around it and didn’t leave fingerprints or footprints outside or inside, the house is dark so he used a flashlight to go upstairs and lure Jon Benet downstairs to eat a bowl of pineapple, in the meantime he writes a three page verbose ransom note saying you do this she dies, you do that she dies, you talk to a stray dog she dies ( and other quotes from a book on the shelf of the Ramsey home ) written on the Ramsey notepad with the Ramsey pen, then brings her to the basement, kills her, leaves her there but makes sure to lock the door behind him , forgets his flashlight standing upright on the table ( no one knows who’s flashlight it is because there are no fingerprints on it) apparently he wore gloves the whole time and booties too because while going back out the window he came in from, and again didn’t disturb the cobweb, he hoisted himself up onto a suitcase perpendicular to the wall rather than parallel that he placed there but had no fingerprints on, left and ran way without any footprints in the frosty grounds. All claiming to want $118,000, not $1 million, … $118,000 for doing all that. He had a generous heart, didn’t ask for much money, and even advised them to be well rested…. Got it.

The BPD, out of ignorance didn't didn't even search for the toy track, and had they did they would have found it and the flashlight on Burke's person the next morning as he was being ushered out of the house.
Burke was told to dispose of the track and flashlight probably in the form of a threat of going to jail, though that wasn't the case.
Patsy grabbed that "second" flashlight on her way to the basement after hearing all the commotion because the stairs to the basement were dark; Burke was sent to his room and an argument between John and Patsy festered, with Patsy swinging the flashlight at John, missing and hitting JB instead.

Before they called Law Enforcement, the Ramsey's may have felt they had every aspect of their plot covered: the Ransom note, the staged murder scene in the basement and the story they drummed into Burke's head. But note how one -- just one -- foul up in their elaborate scheme, the pineapple in JonBenet's stomach, becomes a key element in the investigation. Neither John or Patsy Ramsey or Burke had considered a forensic team would examine the contents of JonBenet's stomach, which revealed one damning fact -- the presence of fresh cut pineapple -- the last thing JonBenet ate before she died.
No matter what Patsy or John or Burke may say, the pineapple tells the truth. Patsy and JonBenet are gone, but John and Burke both know. John still thinks he has it all covered. Burke looks like he's insane for having killed someone.

Oh, no worries, John broke that months ago and hasn't gotten around to repairing it. Three page dissertation of a ransom note? There must have been a verbose foreign intruder!
Kids can be very picky eaters. It's not hard to imagine Burke refusing to eat fancy dinner foods served at the party and Patsy quieting his tantrum by promising to make his favorite snack when they got home. JonBenet could have also been given a bite before getting ready for bed.
Why was it so important to make everyone believe she was asleep when they got home?
No one would have even batted an eye at that explanation, it could have been a non-issue. Instead, the Ramseys waved a big red flag by acting bizarrely and throwing around wildly speculative theories about the bowl of pineapple.

There is no way such a colour difference is natural, especially when you look at Patsy's colouring, Burke, and all of John's other children, who are all brunette. I think patsy sounds realistically baffled by the bowl. Patsy’s prints would be on it if she unloaded the dishwasher. Burke prints were on it, as well. The spoon was a large one, not one a mother would give with the bowl. The glass with the teabag is something that a kid would do to make iced tea not realizing that the water needs to be hot. Decades later, I still believe Patsy did it. It was Christmas and Patsy could have been tired and reached her limit with Jon Benets bedwetting. Burke could have left unfinished pineapple on the counter. If Patsy had to do laundry, Jon Benet could have started eating some pineapple but her Mother probably was angry and kept her in the laundry room with her as punishment and maybe things got out of hand and Patsy lost her temper and patience. I think both parents covered up the crime.

Not sure if the pineapple had anything to do with the events of that evening, but it certainly disrupts the open and shut timeline for Jonbenet's activities. If she went right to bed at 9:30pm, then no one need explain her actions, words, whereabouts or interaction with other household members.

JB may have been put to bed at 10, but knowing sibling behavior, Burke may have said, "Let's go down and check the toys!" So she follows him, eats a bit of pineapple and from that point, darkness...

If it was indeed fresh pineapple then someone would have had to have prepared it. I doubt Jon Benet or her brother were capable of that. So was a bowl of it sitting in the fridge already prepared and one of the kids helped themselves to it from there. They could have just grabbed any bowl that was sitting out and may not have been washed up, hence Patsy's prints on it. What happened after that I'm not sure. But I feel like both kids were up and prowling around after their parents were asleep in bed and something happened. I think Burke probably accidentally killed her in a rage over something or another.

I've always wondered if the Ramseys wanted to distance themselves from the pineapple because maybe JonBenet hadn't been put to bed right away as they claimed. Maybe JonBenet had a snack & during that time Patsy had noticed some "tell" between John & JonBenet that alerted her to John's inappropriate behavior & then later that night she followed up on her suspicions, resulting in violence. I could imagine them arguing after, & Patsy saying, "I noticed what you were doing when JonBenet had her snack." Then, they would want to edit out that part.

The big question: why did the pineapple make everyone in the family clam up?

  • @SeeAustraliaWithMe
    @SeeAustraliaWithMe 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

The "clocked stopped" at the moment of the pineapple. Whatever was going on in that house at the moment JonBenet ate the pineapple was brought to an abrupt halt right then (& from what I have learned of this case, she must have eaten it soon before her time of death as it was undigested in her system). Amidst all the mayhem that broke out when JonBenet was harmed, the bowl with it's remaining contents, was left, still sitting there, forgotten about on the table. I do believe that's when the "clock stopped" - so to speak - that is the point in time when that little girl was harmed and everything unfolded as it did from there - al the planning & all the deception. I believe the pineapple & how she got that pineapple and who was there in that moment is the answer to all of this. That mostly-full bowl just sitting there makes no sense at all - why was it just left like that - not finished, not washed & put away? If it was a favourite snack it would have been eaten all up - not left full. Kids don't usually leave their favourite snacks go unfinished.

My Father and Mother knowingly never let abuse go on between us. We knew better. And we were never aloud to have rage toward one another. I threw a butter knife at my brother while we were outside doing a job for my Father. For some reason I got mad at my brother. My Dad happened to see it. He took me by the hand led me inside. Let's say I never thought of throwing a knife again.
Later on a couple years down the road. My brother and I were playing tag in a tree and as I got close to him in kicked me in the eye. It was terrible. Mother bathed around my eye with a warm wash cloth. It was blurry for a while. My dad tore my brother up. When kids play it can get serious. Parents always need to correct bad behavior. Never let it get out of hand without correction.

Likely scenario : In lieu of the fact that Patsy was still in the same clothing she wore to Christmas party- the next morning ...we can assume that Patsy never went to bed . She is not the type that goes to bed in her nice outfits - you know she changes into nightgown/ pajamas- or ' birthday suit ' before going to bed . Nor is she the type of woman to wake up ( if she had actually changed into p.j's that night ) then put the same dirty clothes back on she wore night before. Obviously Patsy did not get to bed that night. Which leads me to believe that at least the kids were in kitchen - getting a late night snack right after coming home from party . Burke grabbed a large silver stirring spoon , scooped up some pre- cut pineapple ( that was in fridge ) - he filled the white bowl , went to table , set bowl down - walked back to sink & cupboards to find a glass , tea bags & water . As he is making his sweet tea - Jon Benet plops down at kitchen table starts gobbling some pineapple 🍍. Just grabbing pieces & never touching bowl. This explains only Patsy & Burks prints . We know that the evidence indicates that Jon Benet ate pineapple a few hours before she died. This sets jealous Burke into a rage 😡- he yells at her - chases her around & whacks her upside the head with a flashlight .( This explains reason why the bowl of pineapple was not finished ) She could of ran all the way downstairs by the time he caught up with her . Then comes the awful garrote strangling & hymen tears . Burke had a history of sibling abuse towards his little sister 😕 not long ago he had gone into a jealous rage , whacking his sister on head with baseball bat. His jealously & insecurities over all the attention his sister got- he saw her as spoiled & mom & dads favorite. Likely the history of his attacks will show that his outbursts & loss of control - resulting in his attacks upon Jon Benet - had been going on for many years. This time it just didn't end well. The next door neighbor was interviewed - she SD that she noticed Burke's jealous rages on Jon Benet often. So knowing that this was a pattern of abuse ( sibling abuse is a real thing) we know that abuse progresses into more frequent attacks & becomes more violent . We also know that Burke smears 💩 all over Jon Benets bedroom walls . This shows mental anguish , & distain , disrespect for his sister . The ultimate disrespect towards another person - is the unwanted act of sex ,He may of also been the one who has been S.A her. . This goes along with the cycle of abuse .Burke disrespecting her body . I think the commotion got Patsy's attention...she had been upstairs in her room packing for their plane trip in the morning. She hears the kids running around ,& Jon Benets loud screams ( a neighbor did hear a child's scream around midnight. By the time Patsy got downstairs - it was too late . Her daughter had not survived Burke's attack. I don't picture either parent going to those extreme lengths to creative a cover up ( garrote, using end of a broken off paintbrush to S.A her to make it look like a sick pedo intruder had murdered her. Nope, pretty sure Burke did all of that after chasing her down / whacking her skull open .
All of the rest of the staging was done by Patsy & John though. They had to protect their only son . They covered up, wrote fake ransom notes , invited bunch of their friends over to contaminant the crime scene house . Being that neither Patsy nor John had any history of physical violence upon their children - and Burke does ... There's your answer If it looks like a duck- quacks like a 🦆... It IS a DUCK 🦆. BURKE is the duck.
