As a euphonium player I give extreme props for pulling this off with a slide. Also Im jealous that euphonium cant really slide into notes so expressively as the trombone ya know like when you start the note flat and pull into it I think that sounds so nice.

you can still scoop with your embouchure though, it requires a bit more effort but gets you the same effect
Phap you may get a close effect with the euphonium, but nothing is as close to a trombone glissando as a trombone glissando

Im a 4 1/2 year player, how did it go mr. 8 years. I personally know that this for me would take until about being a 4 3/4 year trombonist 😂.
