I literally laughed out loud when Aiman said "Men are predators" 😂😂 also Aiman has really good points and observations 👏🏻 Love these series please keep them coming! Love how it's so insightful and entertaining at the same time. These series helps a deeply closeted guy to feel a sense of connection to the wider community! Thanks!
So many good inputs to build on! 1. I think that everyone can do something to valorise themselves, both on the exterior side (skincare, haircut, exercise, and dress tidy) and on the internal side (building humor, pursue hobbies, and work on being more welcoming and less judgemental). 2. I feel there is a survivor bias in terms of what we get exposure to. My assumption is that most common gay places are built for "having fun" (discos, bars, saunas, etc.) attract one kind of audience that may be more oriented in valuing aestethics more, or in general the mindset to which people approach those places has some sort of "performace" expectations. (put it raw: to me it feels like going to supermarket with the intent of buying meat, and having so much choice I can be bitchy about what I want - therefore having a selfcentered and egoistic approach). Maybe we should foster more places that are chiller (shout out to Pelangi and oogachaga!) such as openair movie nights, boardgames communities, sport grops, etc. (if you know any please drop a comment :) ) so that people are not there to "hunt" but have a more laid back type of fun. 3. About building confidence, it could be a nice start understanding that "we do not have to be liked by everyone" and" we do not have to please anyone". At the same time, when we start working on ourselves and we get to selfappreciate more, that is when the search for external validation disappears. 4. I believe that even working on ourselves its a privilege, it's a matter of mental energy, consistency, time and money, resources that not everyone has, but there is always somewhere small where to start and little progress may go a long way. 5. Finally, being attracted to whats "beautiful" its part of our evolution as a spieces. We want "healthy" mating partners, and looks are how our brain subconsciously understands at first glance what could be a "good" partner. At the same time, we are not animals, and we can rationalise that people are not just looks. So, even if it is true that we may want an attractive partner, we can be polite towards people who do not intrest us. Can't wait already for next video!
Looks are important as the first impression…in any world, gay or straight. But that may include your face, your body, your clothing and/or the way a person carries themselves.
You are missing 1 main component to finding someone attractive: Confidence without attitude! You take a guy with good looks and body, but low self esteem and his appeal drops. Take a guy with average looks and a belly, see him walk into the room with good posture and a smile, and he suddenly is more desirable. See a guy walk into the room who is confident, smiles, maybe winks at you as he passes; suddenly you are squirming like a school girl! Everyone will want to be seen with him.
I love Aiman’s positivity and the guest dashing looks. The other host needs to tone down on his toxicity and sarcasms. It was not necessary and uncool.
One thing that yall have that I don't have is hair because I started balding at 19 and now I'm 22 still keeping my hair but my front head is completely bald, if you ask why I didn't shave it off because it's not easy okay, it's like your only key to look good is thrown away by something you can't control Ever since my baldness started, I wouldn't dare to meet my family friends cousin because I feel very embarrassed about it, and even worse I didnt go outside for 1.5 years because of it too Sorry I feel like I just want to vent my feelings because I get judged every time I try to go outside often and people start to feel creeped out because of how I look it's just so tiring especially in this community which we are very obsessed with looking good Sorry and thanks, that's all
i started having male pattern baldness during ns at 18 and i had to keep a super long fringe to cover the bald spot. went to see dermatologist took propecia and minoxidil and didnt work. i ended up using a hairpiece till now and it has boosted my confidence. If i could turn back time i would have gone for a hair transplant. but i have missed the boat because my baldness is so advanced that hair transplant will not work. also that technology was not available back then. I highly suggest to opt for a hair piece and save for a hair transplant. people who say shave everything and embrace the baldness are just bad advice as it is not affecting them.
@@chester2875 how much does hairpiece cost you? Also I don't think I can't save up that much money to get a hair transplant because I have so many commitments already
@@niceguy712 i went for a synthetic one over a human-hair version. i initially went to jean-yip as they had 800 dollar human hair version which is nonsense actually. the salon at plaza sing has zero privacy and they wash your hair with the usual crowd and its quite embarrassing and humiliating. i then went to aderans to get their synthetic hair which is about 5k for a hairpiece currently. they usher you into private rooms and there is lots of privacy and respect. it was 3k-ish about 10 years ago and prices increased with time. but the price differs base on your head size and thickness of hair. my head is quite big and since my baldness is like 80% of my head i had to go for a full head version. if its just a smaller area it is cheaper. they will take a sample of your hair and send it to japan and the hairpiece will be of the same colour and texture as your own hair. it is quite easy to put on as it is clip based and comfortable to wear.
It might be hard for you to regain your confidence, especially if you've faced a lot of judgment about your appearance during your teenage years. But trust me, being bald isn't as bad as you think. Many hot guys out there are bald, and as you start building your value gradually, you'll also rebuild your confidence. Besides, being bald is actually some people's taste too!
It is a missed opportunity if the program intends to plug the brand but neglects to show the physical products. The impact of brand recognition is not present.
"Men are predators" LMFAOAOOOOOO once again, Aiman is such a vibe 🤩🤩 But damn Aiden!! Not leaving the house if you have a breakout?! 😫😫 I know gay culture can be intensely looks-based, but is it that extreme in Singapore? I know you said it's probably more of a 'you' issue, but the fact that something so normal could inhibit your day-to-day life is really... eye opening. YOU'RE ALREADY SUPER GOOD LOOKING DUDE!! A zit isnt going to change that. ... But yea, after looking at some of the other comments on this video and on your channel in general, I can kinda see why someone might be afraid to leave the house in Singapore 😭😭 I'm a little shocked at the amount of negativity and judgement floating around in all the videos' comments section. Like what the heck -- is Singapore in real life like this too?!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and engaging with the video! 😊 Although we’re based in Singapore, our audience is incredibly diverse, with viewers from all around the world-something reflected in the range of perspectives in our comments section. With such a large and varied audience, it's inevitable that not every comment will be kind, but we strive to keep the space as respectful and supportive as possible.
Looks is always the most important. Without looks, no one bothers to know you further. Looks is something you are born with. The best way to deal with non attractiveness is acceptance. The sad thing about unattractive people is that some will try to stand out by looking / behaving / dressing just to get attention, without realising that not all attention is positive attention.
