This really shows how bullies and victims view their past. The bully only recounts the good days of them getting bread together and how their teacher is doing, whereas the victim talks about how he was bullied, isolated, and outed to his family. It's quite sad how the bully needed to be reminded of those days, but the victim can't forget and lives with those scars for the rest of their lives. Huge praise to the victim for being calm, trying to understand and pointing out how those kinds of "jokes" clearly would look horrible to outside perspective. I'm glad that the bully has grown and realised the error of his ways and will hopefully learn from this.
It doesn't show anything of the kind. They both remember what happened. But one is trying to make the reunion a positive experience and is deliberately avoiding the unpleasantness. But that is exactly what the other wants to address. And there is really nothing from their past that rises to the level of bullying. It's just bad judgement.

@@mikemondano3624you clearly haven’t been in a position of having been bullied, really bullied ever in your life. I get why you would see it this way, but in no world of someone who is bullied does it look great when you can even remember the positive memories and don’t address the negative memories that THE BULLY has caused. His entire childhood was a trauma thanks to one good friend betraying him. The things this poor guy went through by ecpierecing this betrayal, daily social anxiety, exclusion and bullying. He literally mentioned being excluded from activities, being avoided by his good friend, being called a fag by him and getting sticky notes put on his back to make fun of him. In what delusional world do you live in to see that isn’t bullying. It damages a person forever and takes away a childhood someone can never get back, affecting the rest of someone’s life. If you don’t believe that is true then you might have been a bully yourself without having realized that.

@@kimbapbekidding1522Thank you. I also thought is was the real people. The victim was an extremely good actor then. He portrayed an honest victim trying to understand the betrayal. Well done. Point presented very well!
This was healing to watch. The person that bullied me doesn't even remember we were in the same class for 3 years. He just can't recall my existance at all, it's crazy how much impact his treatment had on me growing up and for him it was nothing worth remembering.
Same. They never remember any of it, and when I saw any of the people that did that to me for being queer they just moved on with their lives. The kids came from rich families so the school kept it on the down low and I left schools. They don’t even remember what they did.
@@renten17I believe that some bullies have ‘selective’ memory loss. They pretend they don’t remember their ‘victim’ as they don’t wish to face the fact that they’d behaved despicably when younger! I thought the two actors did a really great job of portraying the scenario of a victim, meeting their bully in later life.

Wrong to bully someone and obviously the victim would hold it more personal. What I see here is one guy thinking it’s a regular conversation and catching up and the other is trying to confront more.

My best friend was bullied by a couple girls at school for years. Then end of university, my friend got a DM from one of the girls, an apology note. The girl’s writing sounded sincere, accountable, everything… my friend respectfully rejected the apology. Being a victim of bullying is trauma. It’s good to let go of the hate, but you don’t owe the bully their own peace of mind when they took it away from you. It’s up to them to learn and atone separately from your life. Sometimes the best apology is to leave you be.

Unfortunately, this kind of bullying will never stop. It takes a strong man to come face to face with his bully & keep a calm disposition as he lets him know that his life is good, and although what the bully did was young ... he need to be held responsible for his actions. The tension felt is to be expected, especially from the audience. It's not hard to feel the pain of bullying... even though not physical, Emotional bullying is even more dangerous. I'm proud of the young man who has made something of his life, despite the bullying he went through in life. He has the right to hold his head high & how he lives & loves privately is all that matters. His happiness that no one can control but him. As for his bully .. well at least he's working. What I saw in him, was a boy who can't face the pain he inflicted on once upon a time *good friend*.
As someone who has experienced bullying in the past, I must say it takes a great deal of courage for a bully to step up and truly listen. He don’t have to show up, yet he did. Over the years, I’ve often felt that I never got the closure I needed, especially since the bullies in my life seemed indifferent, moving on without a second thought. For the victim, I don’t see him as a victim, but as a warrior who overcame hardship and moved forward. And of course, it’s equally brave for him to share his story in front of many people and confront the bully. I sincerely hope that both sides can finally find the closure they deserve :)
i think the victim just wishes you don't just apologize and "feel bad" for what happened already. its about how you reflect on what you have done and open your eyes. bullying is still bullying no matter what the situation or reason was. its the fact that you made someone suffer because of what YOU did. YOUR ACTIONS and thoughts. grow as a person and be better. be human.
After watching him in His Man 3, now I understand more his personnality and how his past have affected him. I’m so sorry that he had to went through that. I’m deeply sorry.
Its always crazy to me when the bullies don't remember things but for the person who was bullied, its ingrained in their brain for so long. It's so sad
i truly feel sorry for both of them. hope they both heal all the past traumas one day. i think the bully has grown a lot that he regrets his past actions. poor gay guy suffered for no reason as a kid and carried himself all alone. hmmmm he deserves the best.
Oh it’s always the bullies that ‘forget’ things. The victims never forget. The pain, t he e suffering they go through. I was bullied for a time and I remember everything like it was yesterday.
please teach your kids respect and treat them well. i was some sort of a bully before high school, and i cant remember anything about it, the only reason i know its because people told me they remembered me bullying them back then. just as this guy, at the time i never thought it was something serious, in my mind i was just surviving school and social life. i was so quiet, had good grades, the teachers loved me, they would never expect me to hurt others. but i was mean. thats the part i do remember, i was mean like my mom was to me. so be kind to kids please
@Starsetwashere Why would you feel bad for a bully, he got confronted with what he did to another person causing them trauma and he got a chance to apologize ?? what is there to feel bad about, he should feel regretful. I hope that bully suffers because of what he did. That was really horrible. He should have lead the conversation with a heartfelt apology. The victim of the bullying, you are not defined by that mean boy that bullied you. I am proud of you to have the courage to stand up to him.
this is one of the reasons why i don't have any sympathy for celebrities who get cancelled for being a bully. they won't ever be sorry. they won't even remember you or what they did to you.
in middle school i got outed by someone i trusted, someone left notes on my locker telling people i liked girls. i got bullied so bad i ended up dropping out before middle school ended, but my grades were so good the school let me pass regardless. by high school, i ended up severely depressed, falling back in school despite always being a straight A, model student. i went from winning awards for my work to dropping out and having to be put in a group home until i got my GED. bullying is no joke. i am getting my life back slowly, but man it kind of ruined my young adult life.
The victim is very brave for doing this, not even knowing if the bully will be regretful or spiteful. And he handled himself with grace. The bully will never carry the full weight of the trauma he inflicted, but hopefully he feels now that it’s heavy.
These videos are so hard hitting. I relate to a lot of them it’s hard to see, but it’s interesting when others willingly see the people who hurt them. They have a lot of strength
There’s a lot of toxic behavior in S. Korea with bullying, bigotry towards anyone different, shallowness, toxic masculinity, misogyny…the list goes on. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist elsewhere too, but S. Korea’s emphasis on looks and materialism make for a very toxic culture. And I’m speaking as a Korean about my own people. It’s quite sad, and I hope change will come with future generations ( though this video shows two pretty young guys, so I don’t kmow).
You know very well the model guy looks way better. The bully felt inferior all along and this why he had to destroy the model's public reputation. Not that being gay is wrong. I have been bullied myself for being LGBT and I have no pitty for such horrible people. And who knows...maybe the bully was seeing in the other guy is own issues. One of my bullies tried to seduce me years later. I know what I'm talking about....
Believe me, you don't have to be rich or middle-income to be bullied. I was bullied because I helped bullies who ended up bullying me with their bullies. I was taken to hospital because I had a nervous breakdown and was diagnosed with migraines. Plus the teacher bullied me too. I mean, everyone in the world wants to be beautiful and materialism exists everywhere, not just in South Korea. In Germany there are rich people who drive to donations in their expensive cars and, for example, take a basket filled with vegetables, take what they want and throw the rest in the trash. There are no good middle-income people in Germany anymore because the economy is getting worse and society will end up being divided into rich and poor. The unequal opportunities will be very extreme in a few years. I hope you find happiness in your country and simply have fun in life.
WOW ! This must have been so painful for you. You can hear it in his voice and see it in his mannerism. I hope he truly loves himself. Continue to prove that others' judgments CAN NOT hold you back. You graciously faced your classmate and left him to face his consequences. I hope he does read these comments and will strive to be a better person. On another note..very bad ass of you to leave him sitting there !!!!! FIGHTING !!!!!!!!
I was bullied my first five years of school. I’m amazed at how he manages to sit and talk to his bully. He’s obviously done a lot of therapy and healing to be able to do this. I feel like I’m reliving it by just walking near my old school or seeing one of my old teachers, a classmate, the bullies or even just a person who visited the school once in those five years. I’m constantly afraid of bumping in to someone who will make me feel that same pain again. It hurts like hell
Honestly I wish I could’ve met my online bully. So I could ask them “why did you do this to me? Was it because you were feeling insecure of yourself, or were you jealous of the love that I was showing to my partner at the time”, but I’ll never know why they bullied me. You can hear the pain and embarrassment in the victim’s voice and how he was feeling hurt. Honestly good for the victim to say that he wasn’t there to hear an apology from him because an apology never recovers what happened in the past
the scars once inflicted by people that didnt seem to care at all burn brighter and stronger until one has no option but heal themselves instead of waiting for time
We Never Support bullying. You don‘t know how painful it is for the victim Because the Bad words will Follow you forever. However I‘m positive suprised that the bully understands that he was rude and wanted to fix that. We don‘t Need to claim the bully bc in the end he was also strong enough to sit infront of the cam and listen to the victim. Never give up. All the Bad words they Said to you makes u stronger ❤
bullying leaves so much impact on the victims and bullies dont understand that even if they were young, that doesnt justify their actions. the damage is done. sometime even an apology can't help. bullying should never be a common thing to happen to people no matter if theyre gay, a man, a woman, an elderly or even a rat on the street. I hope one day bullies get the punishment they deserve.
Why try to hurt someone because you can't handle their preferences. The young man is full of grace and courage even though he is in pain from being deeply betrayed by a former friend. The other man seems stuck in adolescence.
Bullying is like a scar. Sure, sometimes the horrible memories will fade away as time goes on, but the sad part is, for many victims it stays with them forever. What’s worse, is that there may never be any closure given. More kindness needs to spread in this world.
He was so calm confronting him. There is no way I would be this calm confronting my bullies. Probably no way I would even face them for their own safety.

The bully keeps his head down; he is ashamed and guilty; body language speaks volumes also he struggles to make eye contact; can't face the reality of his actions!
I thought this was all acting at first but that's not how a main character would have ended things,so I believe it's a real person that is still coping today.
Last time I heard about my bully, I remember how someone told me she struggled a lot after elementary school, she got pregnant at 16 and dropped out. I thought I would feel better, but instead I felt horrible inside, and sympathy towards her struggles… trauma from that time still hurts me, but I wouldn’t wish the people who hurt me to suffer. It’s so weird.

You can read between the lines. Read their body language. There's more than just an awkward conversation. There's the man in black always looking away and the guy in white always leaning in like nothing was wrong because he's interested in talking to the cool guy. The man in white reminisces the good times while the man in black redirects to address the issue and bad times.
Getting bullied is one of the most difficult things to deal with, no matter the reason. I will never understand how easy it's for the bullies to treat others like that without feeling any empathy or just anything. I hope that this guy has changed and that he understands now how bad these things that he was doing were. No one deserves to be treated this way just cause of his sexuality...
I may have a different situation, but thankfully, the one who bullied me before apologized when we're in college, which is now, I acknowledged him, after all, people change.
I can so feel the pain! And this happens everyday somewhere to someone. And the sad part is, the one that bullies moves on with life and forgets about everything while the one who got bullied moves with a big scar in their life.
There's a lot of circumstances that play into why people bully others for being different. They don't understand it, so it stems from fear - they don't want to be ostracized, so they go with the popular opinion. As kids, we don't really comprehend fully that our words and actions have meaning behind them and can have a stronger impact on those around us, especially people who hold value in the relationship they have with you. When you take that relationship (friendship or otherwise) for granted or you compromise it with your words and actions, it only hurts that much more because you were someone important to them in some capacity. I can tell that this "bully" is really starting to feel and understand at least a small portion of the pain he caused this person. Something good that can come from this is at least knowing that maybe the thought process of the bully is starting to shift and as he begins to understand what all he did, he can then use that to help teach others to be kind. It will make him a better person. The fact that the victim (for lack of better terms because I don't know if he would be comfortable with being recognized as a victim) was willing to go onto this show and go in front of a camera and talk to him openly about these experiences means *something,* and it means a lot. We're all human and we're not perfect. A lot of us have similar experiences in our childhood and we come to recognize how harmful it can be as we grow and mature. It's not to excuse what happened, but we can take what we learn and move forward in life by helping others and making those positive changes within ourselves. I hope the man on the left in this video thrives and gets to enjoy his best life in spite of all of the hardships he's faced.
I myself have been a victim of bullying, and it doesn't feel pleasant. Ever since then I've just grown to not care what others think of me. I commend him for confronting his bully because Lord knows I wish I had the same opportunity. It's insane how bullies recount times that were pleasant to them, but painful for the victims. Bullying IS an epidemic and I just wish people would think before they act because once that threshold has been passed, there's no coming back.
i actually feel bad for the bully. he was young back then, he may have changed. and now, this interview is posted online, worldwide audience, everyone will address and label him as a bad guy even if he’s changed now. Man I can’t imagine
If he really felt bad he would have tried to reach out to him way before this video - once grown and realizing what he did was the time - I loved how the young man just got up and walked away. Wishing him all the best in his modeling career and in life. A close friend told mine, many years ago he was gay and I said so what am I suppose to love you any less because I don't.
I'm currently crying, because even tho I'm straight, I can relate. I was bullied for 12 years (from my early 7 years to 19 years), just because I was different. I was tall, blonde, liked football, loved fantasy books, loved asian world since young, and at that time kids and teens didn't understand it. They would hit me, either fisically or verbally, break my drawings, my books, my heart. Everything. Last years of bullying were the best. I was just ignored, no one cared. I felt at peace like this. Now I have 29 and I still tremble with the thought of meeting my bullies again. I can't forget, and I won't forget.
The most memories I have from school are negative ones. Most of the memories I have with my ex directly, are negative ones. The bad ones definitely stick with you harder

Same. They never remember any of it, and when I saw any of the people that did that to me for being queer they just moved on with their lives. The kids came from rich families so the school kept it on the down low and I left schools. They don’t even remember what they did.

Being a victim of bullying is trauma. It’s good to let go of the hate, but you don’t owe the bully their own peace of mind when they took it away from you. It’s up to them to learn and atone separately from your life. Sometimes the best apology is to leave you be.

Love when the bullied become more attractive than the bully
Honestly I wish I could’ve met my online bully. So I could ask them “why did you do this to me? Was it because you were feeling insecure of yourself, or were you jealous of the love that I was showing to my partner at the time”, but I’ll never know why they bullied me. You can hear the pain and embarrassment in the victim’s voice and how he was feeling hurt. Honestly good for the victim to say that he wasn’t there to hear an apology from him because an apology never recovers what happened in the past
The acting here was done so well that I thought it was real. The awkward and silent moments were spot on.

the scars once inflicted by people that didnt seem to care at all burn brighter and stronger until one has no option but heal themselves instead of waiting for time
We Never Support bullying.
That's true, when he acepted he kind of knew they were going to talk about it.
bullying leaves so much impact on the victims and bullies dont understand that even if they were young, that doesnt justify their actions. the damage is done. sometime even an apology can't help. bullying should never be a common thing to happen to people no matter if theyre gay, a man, a woman, an elderly or even a rat on the street.
It's NOT a friend when he bullied him.
The bully lived his life and that's it. But the victim will always remember what happened to him.
He was so calm confronting him. There is no way I would be this calm confronting my bullies. Probably no way I would even face them for their own safety.
These are actors but the story is real tho
0:15 that's what happened to me 2 yrs ago
Well I use to be little bit made fun of bc i was fat in 1 grade and 2 grade , and at the 1 grade in the first i thought a bully was friendly bc he has many friends but he started making fun of me just a little bit but outside of school he was a good person
@noobplaz4035 :That doesn't make him a good person. If you wanna be a good person, be in front of the world so that you can be an example for others. If you're a good person behind the curtains then you're not a good person at all.
@J1853 yes eggzacklee he has some kinda insecurity
@@noobplaz4035well, if you don't wanna be made fun of for being fat, then just don't be fat
@@noobplaz4035That is being two-faced, that is terrible, it means that she only acts as if she were a normal person outside where she lives with her family, that makes her/him a fake person.
People need to learn that no
Matter how small the action is it has a catastrophic impact on the other person
My bully didnt remember making my life a living hell in middle school when i confronted him about it in high school. It was only 4 years apart, and he couldnt remember. But i remembered clear as day. Man...this was a rough watch. But a good one.
I was bullied at school because my parents didn't have a lot of money.
I'm much older now, but it stays with you to a certain extent.
It's a terrible thing to go through.
Let alone having to defend yourself for being who you are.
Coming from someone who was bullied physically emotionally we don't forget being teared down constantly but we don't let bully's win cause they want that and we won't give to them so proud of myeongkyun saying it how it was bullying leaves trauma thanks to my experience i now panic being in education settings its just horrible to be teared down for being you please never do it
hope that guy learnt what he did wrong
Please stop bullying 0 need for it no one ever deserves it
Wow, the victim’s statement at the end was so powerful. All the best in his healing journey.
Myeongkyun is such a sweetheart I can't understand how anyone could bully him. Smh
Sadly, many were and are still homophobic and view anything other than being straight as being a terrible and bad thing.
Oh What? He is Myeongkyun?
Pardon? You said He's Myeongkyun...?...
@콴예빙젠관 yes he is Myeongkyun. He was in a show called His Man 3
guys dont tell her that "myeongkyun" is an actress and the real man of the story is def not as good looking as him
Yall... this is really touching and i personally hate bullies but for them to leave him like that in shame is kinda wrong.....
The bully keeps his head down; he is ashamed and guilty; body language speaks volumes also he struggles to make eye contact; can't face the reality of his actions!
I was bullied this way too and the only way to move forward is to forgive.
I was so sure the bully was going to say he was gay.
It’s so weird.
this goes out to the bully please form now on reflect on your mistakes and take action. better start speaking up for victims of bullying and fight for them be a better person and for the victim in here i hope heal up from the trauma he gave you are a good person and you deserve love and care from everyone
Okay, to me this video just looked like 8:51 minutes of awkwardness
I wouldn’t be surprised. I mean not seeing each other for 10 years like
What were you expecting😭
You can read between the lines. Read their body language. There's more than just an awkward conversation. There's the man in black always looking away and the guy in white always leaning in like nothing was wrong because he's interested in talking to the cool guy.
The man in white reminisces the good times while the man in black redirects to address the issue and bad times.
He is so strong for being able to talk to his bully. I hope and pray that he no longer gets hurt ❤
The bully may have been young at the time but your character is your character.
The way that he ignores all the bullies he had done to the other guy is so annoying..ih.
This was so emotional watching...i can only imagine the betray he felt at that time. I'm glad you finally confronted him and talked about it.
OMG. Rip to the bully. Hope you never find happiness. We hate bullies. We are cheering you up Myeongkyun❤❤❤
This was so satisfying to watch, how he didn’t need his apology and especially the end where he just left the bully to reflect by himself.
Bullies never realize that same day, some how, somewhere they will have to atone for their actions.
So proud of him for comforting his bullie
8:13 THAT HIT HARD DUDE
HE ATE WHEN HE SAID THAT
i actually feel bad for the bully. he was young back then, he may have changed. and now, this interview is posted online, worldwide audience, everyone will address and label him as a bad guy even if he’s changed now.
